I’m not usually one to write reviews at all but I did so here as the staff were very uptight and controlling. Posters saying what we should and shouldn’t do were plastered all over the walls which was irritating. The «rules» went from being understandable, such as «no alcohol consumption on the property» to «keep the room temperature between 18 and 22 degrees at all times » and photo instructions of how to make our beds and wash the dishes. I understand that the owners want the hostel to remain clean but they should treat their guests with respect.

You need to improve your security. This was the one big letdown. A very easy-to-guess code to open the front door and no locks on the bedroom doors! This is a basic security requirement for any accommodation. No lockers in the rooms! I've never stayed in any hostel that doesn't have lockers in the dorms. It's totally unacceptable to not provide this. Anyone can book a bed in your hostel and then steal from all of their roommates because there's nowhere to lock your stuff.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026A very clean and comfortable place to stay. It's not a big place but they've used all the space effectively so as to provide everything needed. Kitchen and bathrooms are good, as is the WiFi. It's close to the old town.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Świetna lokalizacja, jeśli podróżuje się solo jest okazja by w tym pensjonacie poznać wspaniałych ludzi również podróżujących w pojedynkę! Kuchnia dobrze wyposażona, nawet w kawę i herbatę (rzadkość w Norwegii), bardzo fajny salon, swietna lokalizacja- 5 min do dworca i popularnej dzielnicy turystycznej Stavanger.
Nie zawsze była ciepła woda. Pierwsze osoby które brały prysznic miały gorącą wodę, ostatnie w kolejce- ledwo letnią. Nie polecam pensjonatu na pobyt zimą.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Mycket bra läge, det var lätt att gå ner till centrum och de ställen vi ville besöka. Fräscht badrum på övervåningen, köket såg fint och fräscht ut också men det använde vi inte.
Det var en väldigt trång hall, vilket gjorde det besvärligt för oss som kom med mc-utrustning och väskor. Som tur var hittade vi parkering ett kvarter bort bara, det hade annars kunnat bli ett problem med var vi skulle ställa hojarna då stället inte har egen parkering. Det var också trångt och brant i trappan, både upp till övervåningen där vi bodde och till källaren där man skulle lämna tvätten.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026I had an amazing stay! From the very first moment, the Norwegian-Cuban family who owns the hostel made me feel like I was at home rather than just staying at a place to sleep. They treated me incredibly well, and their warmth and hospitality truly made all the difference. That Norwegian-Cuban combination is simply perfect! The hostel has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay: it's clean, comfortable, well equipped, and conveniently located just a short walk from the city center. Thank you so much for everything! I truly appreciated your kindness and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Buena ubicación, cerca de supermercados y terminal de buses y trenes. Caminando hacia el centro no fueron más de 10 minutos. Cocina bien equipada, habitaciones cómodas. Precio/calidad es una muy buena opción en Stavanger, lo recomendaría.
Los baños. No se mantiene la limpieza por parte de las personas que lo utilizan dia a día, generalmente las personas no limpiaban cuando se duchaban. Las personas encargadas del hostel dejaban bien limpio todos los días.

Etwas anonym und sehr viele LEDs im Zimmer, die die ganze Nacht leuchten. Der Raum war quasi blau erhellt. Jedes Bett hat eigene USB-Steckplätze. An sich super. Aber deren LED-Beleuchtung müsste vielleicht abgedeckt werden können.

Great position, clean rooms and extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Flora and her daughter Ruvisel are working with passion and a spirit of hospitality which goes beyond the expectations and bring warmth and care, making you feeling as if you’ve gained a small house in the heart of Stavanger. I was quite hard bitten by spider or bed bugs during my 1st night, but the owner offered me to change a room and 2nd night was good. The narrow and old wooden stairs, hard to carry the bag upstairs. Maybe too many people for a such a tiny place.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025When I booked the room, I was a little nervous because it is a house instead of a standard hostel. My expectations were surpassed and this was the most friendly hostel I stayed at my whole trip! Everyone became a little family five minutes after I arrived and the house owners are amazing people. They made sure I had everything I needed and are good people. There was a packet of things to do and information on how to get there, which was really helpful because I didn’t have a pre-planned itinerary. I only wish there was a big table for more than four people to eat together!
The bathrooms are not on the ground floor, but they are much nicer than I expected.

C’est basiquement une maison pour une famille dans laquelle 15 personnes peuvent loger avec tous les inconvénients que ca implique : peu de places, cuisine très simple / petite, 2 WC, 2 douches avec risque de pénurie d’eau chaude en fonction des autres locataires, chambres assez petites sans casiers, ...

Buena relación calidad precio para la media de la ciudad. El checkout amplio y la consigna facilitan mucho a los viajeros su estancia, ademas de la guia que han elaborado de actividades. Recomendable si viajes de mochilero.
No destaco nada negativo, pero si tuvieran servicio de lavanderia seria perfecto.
