The property was clean and as described. It had everything we needed and was very well equipped. It was well located and only a few minutes walk to the Bryggen. The owner was very helpful.

Nothing. Just need to be careful going up and down the stairs as they appear to be original and are narrow and steep.

Very steep stairs!

Very good location, above the old town and close to restaurants etc. The apartment was very neat, newly renovated and very well featured with all we needed including aircon, dishwasher, full sized fridge and washing machine with a larger than usual dining and living space. Beds were comfortable and was great that is could accommodate up to 6 people easily.

The very steep and narrow stair case made is impossible to carry larger suitcases safety upstairs, meaning we had to store all our luggage down stairs which made it a bit cramped, but a minor issue in the end.

The property is perfectly placed, nestled away and quiet but surrounded by the most beautiful city. The property itself is well maintained, offering beautiful rooms and amenities. There is plenty of sleeping quarters, towels and linen. The host communication was amazing, everything was planned out well.

I liked everything, the stairs in the property are steep but this didn’t bother us as we knew from other reviews, it adds to the charm of the property. If you struggle with steep stairs it wouldn’t work for you. We thought it was fabulous.

Location was great, perfect alternative to a hotel! Really well equipped and perfect bathroom.

No blind in the upstairs bedroom which meant we were not able to use it due to the very early morning light - need to pack a sleep mask! Stairs are tricky but you get used to them. Bannister needs to be fixed to the wall. Some elements of the house felt unfinished post renovation.

Brilliant location and nicely decorated.

The staircase is an absolute death trap, vertical, wooden and you can’t even hold onto the bannister as it is loose, I can see other reviews have been mentioning the bannister issue for years and it’s clearly never been sorted, so yeah massive health and safety issue. There is only one actual bed, the others are just mattresses on the floor, not really good enough. The whole place is very dark, the lighting is so poor we struggled to see properly in the evenings. There is a few spots of clearly abandoned construction work, random holes in the wall etc There is only one spot where you can feel heat from the heating unit, so the rest of the house is not heated at all.

The location was excellent and very close to the city center. The house was very well furnished and the kitchen well equipped for cooking.

The upper floor was a bit cold as there was no heating upstairs, but the bed covers were quite warm.

Auf den Fotos wirkt alles sehr hochwertig. In Realität sehr billig rennoviertes Häusschen. Vieles Defekt. Handläufe die abgefallen sind, Lichtschalter defekt usw. Dazu Haare vom Vorgänger und sehr kalt. Heizung war nur über die Klimaanlage möglich. In kälteren Monaten daher nicht zu empfehlen.

The ground floor of the apartment is stunning and so aesthetic! The kitchen is well equipped and it was nice having so many seating options. Bathroom and shower was lovely, and the washer dryer was a great addition.

Partially our fault as we didn't pay close attention to the reviews but the stairs up to the bedrooms are terrifying! They are so so steep. We had no chance of carrying our luggage up the stairs so had to leave everything downstairs which was inconvenient and crowded. Dreaded having to go down the stairs to the bathroom in the night! These stairs should really be photographed and mentioned in the description to warn people beforehand. I messaged beforehand to ask for the sofa bed to be made up as we were 3 friends so wanted our own space, I didn't get a response to this message and the sofa bed was not made up on arrival. The photos online are not very clear with the bed set ups. There is one nice bedroom with a double bed, there is one additional small bedroom with a mattress on the floor (sloped ceiling and no space for a bed frame) and then there is some bench like seating in the corridor with mattresses on- these were made up so I am assuming this was meant to be the 3rd bed. However the ceiling is so sloped that it cuts off half the mattress and who wants to sleep in a corridor with no privacy? The final nail in the coffin was the cleaner arriving at 10:45am when check out was at 11am and sitting in the living room watching us as we packed up. She also just let herself in without announcing herself whilst we were half ready. Not acceptable at all and have never experienced this before. It is a shame as the ground floor is lovely but I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

Classe et confortable, bien équipé et bien placé. j avais fait une première réservation puis annulé car l appartement n était pas disponible. J'ai séjourné du 26 au 28 . Mais la réservation du 25 au 28 je l ai annulé maiis je n ai pas vu le remboursement. Je sais qu il y a un délais de 7 a 12 jours. Très belle appartement. Très belle ville Bergen. Merci a vous .

Good location, easy to walk wherever we wanted. Shower is lovely and very functional.

There were leftover coffee grounds in the coffeemaker, as well as water in the drip tray and the tea kettle. The bathroom had a vague scent of urine and there was a moldy sponge in the bathroom drawer. The stairs were SO unsafe, very steep, very shallow, and the bannister was completely detached at the top of the stairs so you couldn’t use it to go downstairs. The lighting, while tasteful, was so dim in the bathroom and living areas, it was impossible to do makeup (or read a book anywhere but in bed). Also even though there were six drawers in the bedroom for unpacking, two of them were being used for storage.

Eit supersjarmerande hus i ei koselig julepynta gågate. Perfekt beliggenhet og rolige omgivelser selv om det ligger i sentrum. Veldig koselig og komfortabelt inne. Man følte seg velkommen 🙂 Smakfullt innredet. Har lyst til å bo der flere ganger.

Stort sett fornøgd med det aller meste. Men dei store lampekuplene på både bad og kjøkken var skitne, og når dei var eit blikkfang i romma vart dette veldig tydeleg og vart noko man la godt merke til. Teppe på badet var også litt skitne.Det drog ned helhetsinntrykket på eit ellers lekkert bad.

I have an injured femur so wasn't able to use the stairs as was too steep and railing was unstable/wobbly.

The second double bed was a mattress on the floor. No bed support, just a mattress on the floor. Several small areas in the property had incomplete work to finish off, cosmetic but still incomplete. *Eg: a hole in wall. No coat hangers or any hanging storage at all.

Helt fantastisk leilegheit, med strålende beliggenhet i koselige Sandviken. God plass, gode senger, flott interiør, rent, svært sentralt og alt man trenger av utstyr. Har allerede anbefalt leiligheten til mine venner 🤩

We enjoyed our stay because the two of us were able to cope and slept on the comfortable FIRST floor couches. We tried the winding , narrow , short steps to the second floor and decided it was too treacherous a journey down those stairs especially at night to use the ONLY bathroom on the first floor.

Liked … The home is in a nice location, clean, well kept and decorated well , so grateful for comfortable first floor couches for us at night … a bed. Please work with potential guests give pictures dimension of stairs since a significant number of guests May have medical , ambulating or vision problems. Perhaps the beautiful first floor space can be changed to allow for more than two coach places to sleep if more than two people.

Lokalizacja fantastyczna! Wszystko piękne, niczego nie brakowało. Domek tuż za linią zabytkowych budynków w dzielnicy Bryggen...więc można spacerować tam i w dzień i przy oświetleniu nocnym. Kod do drzwi więc bezproblemowy dostęp dla wszystkich, kto kiedy chciał (było nas 5 osób).

Beautifully furnished and decorated, kitchen has everything, lots of cooking utensils . The coffee maker was a real treat with push button variety of coffee options. Really nice touches with USB outlets conveniently placed is the wall. Bathroom is gorgeous.

The staircase is narrow & steep for carrying luggage. Might be difficult for families with young children and older people.

The stairs/ladder to the second floor was extremely steep and the individual steps quite narrow.

Um dos quartos é um corredor o outro é uma arrecadação com um colchão no chão e uma janela de sótão sem sistema de escurecimento. Apenas um dos quartos é adequado para adultos. É um alojamento adequado para dois adultos com crianças e nada adequado para 5 adultos, que foi o que reservámos. As escadas para o segundo piso são perigosas e de difícil acesso.

Would recommend a few more bed pillows and hangers for drying clothes as having a washing machine was useful.

The location is great. A short walk and you are at the water. The primary bedroom was large and very nice. The apartment was very clean. We didn’t do any cooking but the place seemed like it had all the things if you wanted to do that. If you don’t want to cook check out the Bacchus Wine Bar at the end of the street. Very good.

The stairs are very steep and may not be suitable for old people or people with mobility issues. The second bedroom was just a mattress on the floor. There seemed to be some unfinished renovation projects. Random holes places and the door handle for one of the rooms kept coming off so it couldn’t be closed.

Zona notte scomoda con scala molto ripida e una sola camera da letto. Gli altri 4 materassi sono poggiati a terra o in una nicchia in corridoio (non il massimo se si soffre di claustrofobia)

Unser einwöchiger Aufenthalt im Bryggen Living hat einen durchwachsenen Eindruck hinterlassen. Die zentrale Lage des Apartments war für uns das größte Plus. Von der Unterkunft aus konnten wir den historischen Bryggen, den Fischmarkt und viele weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten Bergens fußläufig gut erreichen. Das Apartment selbst ist modern eingerichtet, bietet eine gute Küchenausstattung und bequeme Betten. Besonders praktisch fanden wir die vorhandene Waschmaschine und das schnelle WLAN.

Allerdings gibt es deutliche Kritikpunkte. Der Check-in erfolgt rein digital, d.h. man erhält am Anreisetag einen Link zu weiterführenden Informationen. Eine persönliche Begrüßung gibt es nicht. Die Sauberkeit der Räume war grundsätzlich in Ordnung, aber an den Lampen, in den Ecken und im Bad gibt es Verbesserungsbedarf. Ebenso in der Küche, wo ein Bild über der Küchenzeile auch mal gereinigt werden müsste. Zudem finden sich offene Löcher in Decke und Wand, sowie Baudreck an den Fenstern. Aus dem Bad strömte während des Aufenthaltes ein fauliger Geruch aus dem Abfluss. Wischmob & Co. sind im direkten Blickfeld - will man das im Urlaub sehen - Nein. Handseife wird in der Dusche bereitgestellt - schwierig, wenn man am Sonntag vor einem Feiertag anreist und Geschäfte geschlossen haben. Die steile, enge Treppe zum Obergeschoss mit den Schlafzimmern ist bereits ohne (!) Gepäck eine Herausforderung und könnte für manche Gäste problematisch sein. Es wird zwar vorab darauf hingewiesen, aber unseres Erachtens braucht es einen eindeutigen Warnhinweis, dass Gäste Schwierigkeiten mit der Treppe und dem wackeligen Geländer haben könnten. Das Appartement wirkt zudem insgesamt recht dunkel, was durch die Jalousien (wegen der vorbeikommenden Spaziergänger) verstärkt wird. Auf den nächtlichen Lärm durch die (sehr schnellen und lauten) e-Rollerfahrer auf dem Kopfsteinpflaster waren wir nicht eingestellt. Unser Fazit: beim nächsten Besuch in Bergen werden wir diese Unterkunft nicht mehr buchen.

Lovely modern renovation in an old historic building and neighborhood. Everything was comfortable and great.

Only issue we had was the upstairs sleeping areas were really hot. The a/c downstairs was great but the cool air does not make it upstairs at all. We visited during an unusual heat wave, but for the summers would be great to put in either a couple of fans or a second small a/c unit upstairs.

Just take them seriously when they say the stairs are steep. They are just slightly less steep than a ladder. Totally fine for us, we are all able bodied. But the beds are all upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. So it would not be good for people with mobility issues or maybe small kids (ours are teens, they had no issues). We left our suitcases downstairs rather than take them. But it was not at all an issue for us.

The location was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, and you had black out curtains! The stairs were quite steep but we made it work. We were only there a short time, I wish we had more time.

The absolute perfect location. Cute little house, clean, with all the perks and amenities you could need. Easy walking to the foreshore and the mountain but tucked away from the busy centre. Owners are a pleasure to deal with. HIGHLY recommend!

This property is conveniently location 3 streets away from the wharf. Access was really easy with the automated door code. Inside the place is modern and tastefully decorated with all amenities. We all loved the power shower and bathroom as well. In the morning there a lots a bakeries a few streets away and for those who like milk (Melk in Norwegian) is available from a Bunn pris just near the Mcdonalds and Bakery. I would highly recommend staying here. The stairs are a bit steep but it is on a hill side.

Location was great, though it was quite a steep walk up to the street. The living area was spacious and comfortable. Interesting artwork on the walls. We didn’t cook but there seemed to be everything you would want to put a meal together. Loved the underfloor heating. Beds were comfortable.

The stairs up to the bedrooms were very steep and would not be suitable for the very young or old or those with mobility issues. It would have been good to have somewhere to hang clothes - just a few hooks in the bedroom corridor would do, or a free standing rack. I didn’t see any instructions for using the appliances. It wasn’t an issue but would be useful to have available.

Steep stairs and loose bannister still not fixed despite being mentioned previously. There is no soundproofing and you can hear every noise amplified which made for very restless nights

The house was extremely well located! We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go within 10 to 15 minutes. It was also a good size for four adults and a child. We had one full day of rain while we were in Bergen, and the house was large enough for us to not feel cramped while we waited out the storm.

The stairs to the second floor were very steep. My parents are older and were concerned about slipping and falling if they had to go downstairs during the night.

Very modern apartment, close to the city centre (walking distance). The beds/couch were really comfortable, and everything was clean. The owner was also nice and easy to contact.

A charming old wooden house in the Bryggen quarter with modern equipment. Very good coffee machine 😀. In the center (old port) in 10 minutes.

Being an old house, there is a steep stair to the qst floor (bedrooms). We had only light luggage, rucksacks, that was ok. It would be difficult to carry a large suitcase upstairs and even more so downstairs. Keep shoes with good adherence on for managing the stairs.

The accommodation was excellent. Comfortable beds and great facilities. Loved the artwork on the walls! The location was superb, really in the midst of the historic city.

A mirror in the main bedroom would have been useful. Also some hanging space as our trip was for a wedding so we had formal clothes with us. The stairs as commented by other guests are fairly steep but are entirely in keeping with the age/character of the property. They are very manageable.

Beautiful well furnished apartment with all the amenities to provide a comfortable stay. The apartment is very aesthetically decorated and was a joy to stay in. The place is a short walk from the city center with easy access to restaurants and super markets.

We had an issue with the door code during checkin but could be resolved when we called the host and he immediately provided the new correct code. There were no standard toiletries provided - there were some half used bottles of some previous guests probably. Since Bergen is a hilly city and the the apartment is situated on the uphill slope, reaching on foot with the luggage from the Train station was a bit difficult .
