Tranquilidad de la zona.

La zona común con nevera y cafetera estaba al lado de nuestra habitación y, algún huésped, hizo uso de esa zona a una hora no apropiada para ello.

Sitio tranquilo y alejado del ruido y que había parking.

En primer lugar la limpieza, a pesar de que la casa esté en una zona rural creemos que tener que dormir con más de 10 arañas es demasiado, podríamos haberlo entendido si las ventanas hubieran estado abiertas cuando llegamos pero es que además estaban cerradas, en un lugar donde la humedad es patente y la costumbre de la zona es mantenerlas algo abiertas. Esto, además, agravó el olor de la habitación y la casa, como ya sabemos usan moquetas y se debe ir descalzo para no ensuciarlas pero si no limpias bien y ventilas el olor puede concentrarse. Las toallas del baño estaban todas desenparejadas y bastante usadas, aunque se las veía limpias daban mala imagen. El sofá de la habitación robaba demasiado espacio, hubiera sido mejor dar más espacio a la estancia y cambiar el perchero por un armario, las maletas y mochilas tuvimos que dejalas por el suelo para no estropear el sofá. Además indica zona de picnic y mobiliario de jardín, cosa imposible de usar, no había zona delimitada de picnic ni relax, jardín desatendido, las 2 sillas con la mesa baja que había en el patio parecían casi un chiste malo... Y por último, sí, sí hay nevera y microondas y una cafatera de cápsulas, pero en la nevera tuvimos que hacernos un hueco porque era de las pequeñas para 4 habitaciones, y aun pudiendo usarlo, debería tener un espacio por pequeño que fuera, no puedes alojar a gente de ese modo. Estamos de paso sí, y renta más una habitación alquilada que un lounge pero a costa de qué....

Les instructions claires pour l'arrivée, l'accueil de Beata. Le confort et la propreté de la chambre, bien équipée. Le parking sur place hyper facile et sûr. Frigo à disposition, avec du café, grille-pain, thé etc...: pratique !

Dommage de ne pas proposer d'espace détente à l'extérieur, ne serait ce qu'un banc devant Des tasses sont fournies mais pas d'assiettes ou de couverts. Nous avons du faire notre vaisselle dans le lavabo de la salle de bain car pas d'accès à un autre point d'eau ni cuisine. Bonne communication et réactivité par message mais nous n'avons vu personne. Jardin peu soigné, herbe haute...dommage

Si la gente usa mal el parking o hay coches de más, olvídate de aparcar en la puerta. A la persona que lo lleva la vimos pero no sabemos si era real porque fueron unos segundos. El baño que nos tocaba compartir estaba algo lejos de la habitación. Poca privacidad al estar la entrada de cara a las ventanas de las habitaciones.

Sehr gemütliches Zimmer mit tollem Ausblick auf Garten und Berge. Es war geräumig und ruhig.

Very good accommodation at a reasonable price

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits, à 130€ la nuit c'est cher pour dormir très peu. Il y a un chauffe-eau qui s'active et fait un bruit sourd dès que quelqu'un tire de l'eau chaude et ça commence dès 5h50 jusqu'à 00h30 (une nuit on a eu le bonus de la douche à 3h30...). En dehors de l'accueil l'hôte est invisible mais répond vite via la messagerie Booking. Le petit coin réfrigérateur, café, thé est placé dans le couloir entre 3 chambres, dommage quand quelqu'un décide de se faire un café Senseo à 23h30 ! Le WIFI est certainement partagé avec trop de personnes parce qu'il ne fonctionne pas vraiment. Enfin la vue imprenable depuis notre chambre sur les voitures. Tous des problèmes ont déjà été soulignés depuis plusieurs années à l'hôte, mais rien ne change.

Super schöne, liebevoll eingerichtete und große Zimmer. Die Betten waren äußerst bequem. Außerdem verlief die Kontaktaufnahme, der Check-in und Check-out problemlos.

Hôte très accommodant : nous avons eu du retard dû aux transports, et notre hôte Mike a été souple, s'adaptant à cet accueil tardif. Hébergement propre et logement bien placé au début du Ring of Kerry.

Isolation phonique moyenne et de simples persiennes n'empêchant pas le jour d'apparaître très tôt.

Nos pareció una idea genial alojarnos aquí después de recorrer el Anillo de Kerry, y fue todo un acierto. La casa es preciosa y los anfitriones tienen muy buen gusto para la decoración. Nos recibió el anfitrión, que fue muy amable en todo momento. La habitación con cama doble era enorme y muy bonita, y el baño también era espacioso y estaba impecablemente limpio. Estuvimos muy cómodas y el alojamiento superó nuestras expectativas.

Aunque la entrada está señalizada con un cartel, por error entramos en la casa del vecino. A juzgar por la expresión del hombre que salió a decirnos que el alojamiento que buscábamos era la casa de al lado, parece que no éramos las primeras a las que les ocurría. Quizá sería conveniente colocar otro cartel unos metros antes o, alternativamente, que el vecino instalara algún tipo de señal para evitar confusiones.

We arrived at Mike and Beata’s house, who welcomed us with a warm welcome. The accommodation hosts various rooms, we ended up in room 2. We stayed there for 2 nights, the room was well furnished with a couch, and a kettle to warm up with a nice tea in the evening. A mini fridge is also available which was great to store our things for the next day. The space was really clean and a hair dryer was available. It was nice.

It was a bit humid despite the heating. In addition, what seemed to be a boiler upstairs above the room made noise during our stay.

Mike is a remarkable host. He was very nice to us and gave us precious tips for our stay and made all the necessary for us to be comfortable

The doors and shower were a little tricky to operate and there didn't seem to be anywhere for us to hang our damp towels.

Mike war sehr nett. Zimmer sehr groß mit großem Bad und Warmwasser mit schönen Bergblick. Kaffee,Tee Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank vorhanden. WLAN war sehr gut. Kostenlos Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück.

Bett war etwas durchgelegen.

At Mountain Widok is was clean, quiet, a family home, good parking and tea/coffee making facilities. Great views across mountain ranges from the back room of the house. The room was large and the bed, also very comfy. The owner meet us at the door, gave us keys, showed us to our room, gave us advise on the places to eat in Killorglin. And a great location to start the Ring of Kerry from.

Whats not to like.

Really nice and cosy. The en-suite bathroom was really nice and clean. Host was very welcoming.

The curtain doesn’t fully block the light and you might be waken up by the sunlight if you are used to sleep in the dark. The internet network is not very good and no WiFi. The good point is that there is TV to compensate.

Grande chambre avec un grand lit et sa salle de bain privative. Nous avons été très bien accueilli. Il y a de quoi se préparer des trucs (micro ondes, bouilloire, café ...)

Big room. Tea, coffee, microwave on corridor.

A little cold. Was there in January and felt there wasn't enough heat in the room. Although only a couple of kilometers from Kilorglin, it was not walkable due to narrow busy road. Possibly ok during the day but definitely not after dark. Taxis cost €13 just to get to the town.

Michael COMPLETELY saved me— I checked in very late on a Saturday night having booked without realizing Mountain Widok was too far from my train station to get a taxi out of town early enough the next morning to catch my train to the airport. Michael not only helped me check in at that late hour, but also helped me call an early taxi from the next town over so I didn’t miss my train the next morning. AND he woke up early the next morning to make sure I got off okay. Total angel. I didn’t deserve him and I’ll always be grateful!

If you’re new to Ireland, be warned that Killorglin is a very small town and transportation in/out may be tricky outside of peak hours. But it’s a gorgeous place and you’ll love it.

Spacious room and bathroom, house was squeaky clean. There is space to park your car if you’re traveling by car. There is tea and coffee in the hallway for the morning.

If I could I would give even more stars! Absolutely amazing. The room was so nice and incredibly clean. My friend asked if there’s a toaster in the little kitchen (which was not) but the landlord brought us one! Perfect stay and I could not recommend it enough’

Very spacious room. Location was slightly rural as expected. Very comfortable.

It was close to the village.

Having to remove shoes before entering the room with no disposable slippers provided. Taking shoes on and off just to use the bathroom. The gable had no lights and potholes full of water. When I went to my car my feet were wet as I couldn't see a thing. The gardens and driveway out front were very unkempt.
