Torine House B&B

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo appartamento per due giorni, ma purtroppo l’esperienza è stata molto deludente e non conforme alle aspettative. Sebbene l’alloggio possa apparire gradevole dall’esterno, gli interni erano sporchi e presentavano diverse carenze di manutenzione e di dotazione. Le fotografie allegate documentano alcuni degli aspetti riscontrati durante il soggiorno, tra cui: • tegami con evidenti segni di bruciatura; • insetti schiacciati sulle tende della camera da letto; • spugna per i piatti consumata e piena di capelli; • posate sporche; • stoviglie poco pulite, vecchie e in parte inutilizzabili per cucinare; • bicchieri sbeccati; • prodotti da cucina, come l’olio, lasciati aperti e quasi terminati. Inoltre, l’appartamento era freddo e il riscaldamento non andava, il Wi‑Fi non funzionava e non era disponibile neppure il caffè. Nonostante avessimo scelto un alloggio dotato di cucina, l’host ci ha fortemente consigliato di andare a cena fuori: una circostanza poco coerente con il tipo di sistemazione e con i servizi pubblicizzati. Le immagini allegate sono state scattate durante il soggiorno e intendono fornire un riscontro concreto delle condizioni sopra descritte. Mi auguro che il proprietario intervenga con maggiore attenzione sulla pulizia, sulla manutenzione e sulla sostituzione delle dotazioni danneggiate o ormai non idonee all’uso. Nel complesso, non consiglio questo appartamento e non vi soggiornerei nuovamente.

It was in a quiet area just a 15 minute walk to town

I arrived after walking up a long hill with all my luggage and knocked on the door, and the only answer was an angry woman speaking to me from a window. I had mistakenly arrived a day early, but had made an expensive booking at her Torine House B&B for the next 6 nights. She gave no information or offer of assistance with finding an accommodation for the night or even allow me to get in out of the rain while finding a place that day. Instead, she treated me as an intruder and let me know that she did not care about my well being at all. I had to stand in the rain n her driveway while calling a taxi to take me back to town. I did stay there the 6 nights I’d reserved, but it was very uncomfortable. There was no communication, no breakfast (B&B stands for bed and breakfast), no one replacing the towels in the shared bathroom or cleaning it. I only got information from some old papers I found in the bedroom closet. Very unfriendly place. I did my best to make the stay as pleasant as possible on my own and avoid being treated badly by her again.

Lovely breakfast provided for the apartment and for the individual room of dry cereal, teas, and coffees. The apartment was lovely. A great space for a longer stay, though we only stayed one night. Location is ideal, a short walk to town. Very cute place. The garden space was lovely. Great little place to stop on a roadtrip of the west of Ireland.

The wifi didn´t work in the bedroom of the apartment, but this is not a huge problem. It worked fine in the other spaces. The individual room space was a bit noisy as people were checking out in the morning, particularly for the rooms nearest the common space/kitchen.

We rented a room and an apartment. Either of them weren’t clean, we found hair and cutlery was dirty. Bed sheets and towels were clean though. Mattress kind of comfortable. People were chatting very loud early through the corridors in the morning. Very disrespectful. We couldn’t sleep well. If you want to go to spend a peaceful and relaxing weekend it’s not your place since you will share with people who do not care about the rest. Nothing to be with the hosts.

The only thing I would advise is the shower... needs a look at the pressure isn't great and it didn't really get as hot as I would personally liked it to be but that's also personal preference

The host was so welcoming.

My elderly friend stayed there for her nephews wedding in the town , the land lady was most helpful, she drove my friend to the church and wouldn't take anything for it. My friend then discovered that she left a good jacket behind her a few days later, and the landlady posted it to back to her. The property was very clean and cozy, we would highly recommend this property.

Owner was very pleasant and kind. The location was great, short uphill/downhill walk to/from downtown. Clean room and bathroom.

No breakfast, but advertised as a B&B? Our 3 bedroom was VERY small, we were on top of each other. Beds were not very comfortable, but doable. Our room was right next to the "lobby" bathroom so we heard people flushing the toilet while we were trying to sleep. You could also hear people's conversations in other rooms.

No breakfast at all, or even food offered for us to use. It’s advertised as serving breakfast, even on the notice board outside the gate. False advertising.

The property is close to the town centre, so we could walk to the nearby pub.

The property has a bit of a run-down feel. Our room had poor finishings and overall design including: little space to move, storage space in the bathroom, loose teabags and instant coffee in bags with dirty teaspoons and random screws. We had to put the kettle on the floor, next to one of the beds, to be able to brew ourselves a cup. The owner also insisted to have payments in cash and we didn’t get a receipt.

Hostess was welcoming and friendly.

The location was great and the host was very accommodating.

Beds were so uncomfortable and small. Room was cold at night with no heating. The shower was luke warm. There was not enough utensils for the amount of people staying there. Tired and dated.

There was no breakfast when it was advertised as a B&B. Their online booking plus their signage both noted it as a B&B without the breakfast. The ceiling was waterstained and the towels and welcome packet old and falling apart and not very nicely sorted with a bunch of random pamphlets in there. Had someone knock on my door telling me to turn off sounds because they were trying to sleep at 9pm. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The accommodation is VERY VERY basic. NO breakfast included .A few tea bags and sugar left in a plastic bag in the room with a kettle but no cups or milk, would have been nice to make a cuppa after the long drive to Killorglin .The accommodation was way overpriced, and as there is a lack of accommodation in Killorglin the owners took advantage of this. The location is 10 min walk outside the town up a hill. .

The original studio we rented had not been used for a while, so was musty and dusty. We opted for another room which was upstairs and showers were booth style and very small. Bed was old and worn-out mattress so woke up with back-ache each morning. Ceilings were low at edges of room (it was a loft so roof pitch limited effective space). I hit my head a few times. Also there was no Breakfast available in this "Bed & Breakfast" and the closest cafe was a bit too far to walk. There was a shared kitchen we could use, so that hot water and instant coffee was available.

It is advertised as a B and B but no breakfast is offered. There is a shared kitchen but it was not clear whether or not the contents are to be used or if they belong to other guests.

Location was great, rooms and showers very clean , comfortable beds, Catherine and the lady who checked us in , very friendly... would highly recommend this accommodation for your stay in this area .

Property is advertised as BnB, and needs to be changed to room only so people dint expect to have a breakfast in the morning. Catherine did cook breakfast for us as that is what we understood we had paid for on this site.

We liked the host & the room was comfortable.

We booked it as a bed & breakfast but when we arrived we were told they no longer served breakfast? We were disappointed, maybe a discount should have been offered as we had to buy our own breakfast the following morning.

The location was good, easy access to the town.

On arrival late afternoon we were greeted by a lady who said that the landlady was out and would come to see us later. She never came. We went out for dinner at about 7pm, returning at about 10pm, no one around. Our booking included breakfast but we were given no information about it. I would have expected to find at least a note from the landlady. We had to leave at 8am to drive to Dublin to catch a plane, there was no sign of anyone providing breakfast when we left. Our room was tired and felt damp, double bed small, my partner slept on an electric blanket switch all night. It had both a double bed and a single (which we didn’t need) in it which made it really cramped and hard to move around. We could see that other less cramped rooms were available as they had their doors open, We were woken by noise from other guests. We had a shower in the morning before we left and the water was stone cold. The yard outside was strewn with towels drying over chairs, bikes and other random objects, it looked very shabby. We feel the room was way overpriced, plus we didn’t get value for money given we were not given the breakfast we paid for. Really would not recommend.

Great place with a friendly, welcoming host. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the town centre is just a short walk away. Thanks a lot for the nice stay!

Breakfast - offered juice, cereal then given 2 slices of toast plus 1 slice of brown bread plus tea. Finally offered a fried egg. Thought breakfast was meagre.

Close to town- scrambled eggs were excellent

Cant check in until 5.30pm- cramped room and uncomfortable double bed which is too small for two to sleep comfortably- poor pillows. Coffee dreadful.

Catherine was such a lovely Person, who was always very helpful and also a great organisator, for instance, in making a trip to Dingle/Sleigh Head possible by managing a Taxi for us. Breakfast was great, so we can only recommend this Place.

Owner was beyond helpful and the house was spotless. Located very close to the town with plenty of parking spaces. The room had a TV and hair dryer. There was also a good amount of storage space in the room.

The house is a few minutes walk uphill outside the town. It's hardly a negative as it's only 10/15 minutes. If you don't fancy the walk, book a taxi in advance.

Nice and clean room in a neat and stylish private house, excellent breakfast, which covered all needs of cyclists. Friendly and helpful host. B&B located uphill nearby the town center, restaurants or pubs in the town can be easily reached by foot with a short walk.

Very warm reception and friendly experience. Good advice given on what to see and do locally and where to eat. Clean and well maintained house and facilities.

Location was superb, and a very quiet restful nights sleep. Host was wonderful, very friendly and attentive, made us feel incredibly welcome. The apartment we stayed in was lovely, had everything we needed and we were very comfortable.

The shower wasn’t working properly, but this didn’t end up being a problem as we were offered another room and everything was dealt with quickly. It didn’t affect our weekend stay.

The host was lovely and very accommodating to us. We had a few needs and they were met with no problem. Catherine also made us a lovely breakfast the next morning.

Location, this B&B is in a quiet neighborhood, but still close enough to town to walk to. The facility also has a lovely garden.

The rooms are all on the ground floor. Thus it is important that the curtains are fully drawn if you want privacy. Breakfast was OK but quite minimal.

we were shown to room and left alone. as a bnb I thought we would have more interaction with owner. she didn’t even show us where the facilities were. felt like I had to tip toe around and we couldn’t work out the shower just pure boiling water came out. needed to pay and ask for heating as house was freezing and we couldn’t find the owner anywhere until we had to find her in her owner section of the house. Poor bnb experience definitely not worth the price

Catherine has really exciting established BnB with absolutely every type of room catered for . Fantastic view across to mountains great 4g reception.Ideal for families,solo ,couples , beautiful garden around house ample parking .Rooms immaculate I would say hotel quality even better than hotels in Ireland I stayed in .Comfy warm cosy house had very good peaceful sleep .I paid extra for Irish breakfast was well worth it really nice food and breakfast room . Excellent all round stay .I would recommend booking this BnB for summer as there will be not much room in bnbs during summer and hotels in Kerry book well in advance

Everything about my stay was perfect.

Very quiet, relaxed, just what needed it to be. Bed was comfortable, clean, OK breakfast. We had room 2. Host was very friendly and knowledgeable of the locals and local facilities. Bunkers Bar is recommended by the host and my family members who are local.

Our room was a bit tight for space considering it was a double. En-suite could not have been any smaller. We could have moved to bigger room on 2nd night but stuck with Room2. Still cost the €110 per night.
