OneView Chalet

The room was a bit small, but it met all our needs comfortably. The host was very supportive and attentive throughout our stay. The property is well-maintained, which was clearly noticeable. We especially loved the beautiful town view from the balcony. The environment was calm and quiet—perfect for relaxation.

Beautiful and peaceful view from the room, especially since the chalet is high up on the hill.

The location and A bit difficult to find — even the tuk-tuk driver had trouble locating it. Not walkable and no restaurants or shops nearby. Breakfast mentioned online wasn’t offered during my stay, and there was only one power plug which wasn’t near the bed.

Schöne Aussicht, klein und kompakt mit netter Terrasse. Bett eigentlich bequem, wenn auch etwas kurz.

Leider nicht wirklich sauber. Abends hatte ich zudem eine Schnecke im Bad am Spiegel... Der angepriesene Kühlschrank, hatte zudem nicht die passenden Steckdosenanschlüsse. Ist schon sehr weit oben am Hang. Mit Gepäck eine qual.

Kind, smiling and open hearted people here. Stunning Kandy view along with Knuckle mountains. Away from city hassle and loud noizes still feeling yourself a part of local life. Spent a lot of time on the terrace observing various colors from here (the sky is stunning) Room has everything needed. It was very clean and comfy. Drinking water, tea kettle, kitchenware, blanket, table and chairs for dining. Many thanks fro having me here 🙏🏻 Keep shining 💚 Budu saranay!

Ubytování mělo krásný výhled, bylo čistý. Majitel ubytování je velice milý s ochotný. Dohodl mi řidiče Tuk Tuku, poradil mi co vidět, kam jít co vidět. Nevadilo mi, že je ubytování dál od centra, byl tam klid a ten krásný výhled.

The villa had a great view and felt relaxing to come back to. It was equipped with a fridge, tableware, a hairdryer, and other essentials. There was just the right amount of privacy, without the feeling of staying in a family’s home where you might get small talk or casual questions — everything was handled in a professional and discreet manner.

It would be even better if the water pressure in the bathroom sink were stronger

Une vue sublime sur Kandy. Néanmoins un peu loin du centre si vous souhaitez vous y rendre à pied. La chambre est bien équipée, la salle de bain fonctionnelle.

Le lit est trop petit pour deux (120cm), et la pression de la douche est trop faible. Adresse difficile a trouver pour les tuktuks.

Nice elevated view of the town of Kandy. Great room prices. Nice owner

Fairly far from town, up hill. Somewhat cramped room, but didn’t need too much more considering we were out and about all day exploring Kandy. Room windows didn’t have screens so I didn’t feel like I could open them at night when the temperature had cooled off.

Great view over the city and very friendly and polite hosts. They also offer home-made breakfast and dinner if needed and are happy to organize everything you need to explore the city. We had a good time here!

Very nice place to stay in Kandy, Quiet, located on the top of a hill, the owners are lovely and the room is very clean ! I recommend this place !

Kandy OneView was our first accommodation experience in Sri Lanka. The owner and a lovely lady warmly welcomed us as their guests for our three-day stay. He checked on us every now and then to make sure everything was fine and gave us tips whenever we were a little stuck. The WiFi quality was excellent, so I could handle some Zoom meetings I had to attend. The rooms were as described and had everything we needed for our stay. The best thing about this place, was the view—just as the name suggests. You can sit on the balcony and see the sports stadium, the historical prison, and the beautiful city itself. I loved this view!

Our stay in Kandy was lovely. The view is incredible, pictures don’t do justice! And the room had everything we needed, fridge, food shower, comfy bed. The hosts were lovely and made sure we had a comfortable stay and gave us some water when we left. It was a brief but lovely stay, would recommend!

The host was a really kind and his hospitality was amaizing. The view to Kandy is perfect, i can say here you already have one of the best view to the city. Furthermore he recommended for us a very correct transport service as well.

I had a wonderful stay! The view from the room was breathtaking, and the room itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the tea set with milk packets—it was a thoughtful touch that made my mornings even better. The hot water facilities worked perfectly, and everything in the room was just as expected. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout my stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort and great hospitality!

The only downside was that the location was a bit hard to find as the signboards were quite small, which made it tricky to locate the property. Other than that, it was a great experience overall!

Quite a hike to get there but tuk tuks are widely available.

I had a lovely stay. It’s similar to a homestay, but your room is separate with a private entrance at the back. It was nice to have most of the basics, and you can ask for top-ups. The hot water depends on the outside temperature, but if you use it with low pressure, it’s lukewarm even in chilly weather. The balcony has a beautiful view, with only distant city noises and lots of pretty birds, along with the occasional monkey. :) It’s within walking distance from the centre (though a bit steep in some parts, so I always took a tuk-tuk for the way back up), and it’s easy to order food through the PickMe app. The host is also very friendly and helpful, making sure you are okay.

The internet is a limited package and a bit slow, but the host kindly let me pay for an extra package when it got used up. The host also offers a paid laundry service, although there is no dryer, so it takes longer if it rains. Additionally, for transfers, you might need to help navigate him, even though you’ve paid a lot for the ride. :) There was no breakfast option during my stay, the information on Booking.com may not be fully updated, or it could be due to a language barrier.

Very friendly owner always made sure I had everything i needed. The view was wonderful as well. It is a bit far from centre but it was nice to escape the loud noises and only a short tuktuk ride away.
