Serenity Lodge

The incredible staff, they really went above and beyond! They provided us with a fridge, taxi’d is to Ahangama, and were so kind. The accomodation is so peaceful and relaxing, we loved sitting on the balcony and watching the local wildlife.

We were aware the room only had a fan, but we really struggled with how hot the room got. The amazing staff offered to move us to another room with a bigger fan.

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Betreiber, ich konnte unkompliziert verlängern (Flugstorno)- herzlichen Dank noch mal dafür. Schöne Lage im Grünen und trotzdem schnell zu Fuß am Strand. Habe am Ende meines Urlaubs noch einmal hier gebucht, immer wieder gerne. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Hard to access from anywhere

Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich war in einem der neuen Zimmer und diese waren traumhaft. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt und habe unglaublich tolle Tipps der Gastfamilie erhalten. Anil der Gastvater hat mich gegen einen ortsüblichen Preis mit seinem Tuktuk überall hingefahren, war unglaublich hilfsbereit und hat mir interessante Fakten rund um die Gegend dort erzählt.

Alles super. Wie letztes Jahr 2 Wochen Surfen um dem kalten Winter in D. zu entkommen. Mein großer Dank gilt Anil und Chalika die tolle Gastgeber sind. Auf der Dachterasse kann mn Affen und Vögel beobachten und zum Surfen (lazy right/left) sind es 10 Minuten zu fuß. Wer nicht laufen will kann auch direkt einen Roller mieten. Wer ein bisschen Ruhe und Natur im Trubel an der Küste sucht wird hier fündig. Als unser Rückflug bei Emirates gecancelt wurde, konnten wir unkompliziert ein paar Tage länger bleiben, auch dafür herzlichen Dank.

The room was very nice and clean. The balcony with the view is amazing. The bed comes with mosquito nets and is comfy. It was very lovely.

I loved my stay in Serenity Lodge! It is a peaceful place, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, each has a nice balcony facing quiet surroundings with jungle and monkeys :) I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cozy stay in Midigama.

I would probably recommend to invest in mosquito plugs in the rooms, since mosquito net is not always protective enough. Otherwise, everything was great :)

Wonderful guesthouse hosted by Anil and his wife, and Olivier from Hossegor who has been living here for 15 years. They were always available, ready to help, eg they will drop you anywhere you need. The room was super clean and spacious, calm but right in the center of Midigama. In the nature and breezy. We booked 2 extra nights as we felt like home! Bonus: they helped us organise our trip to Ella and safari and gave us all the tips of restaurants and surf spots in Midigama! Many thanks for having us, we will be back!

Peaceful, quiet and clean

Was happy with everything

Lives up to its name - very tranquil, away from the crowds and noise of the street, wonderful place to sit on the terrace or roof and watch the birds, monkeys. Fire flies at night, we also saw a peacock. Highly recommend. Room was clean, with the window open and fan on it was not too hot. We loved it and would definitely come back.

The host and the family is very friendly and the place is cozy and clean

The nicest place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. The property is beautiful and very clean, and the family and staff are incredible! It’s about 4 minutes walk to the beach but away from the main road making it so peaceful - you can sit on the roof terrace or balcony and feel like the only people around for miles. Absolutely perfect!

Lovely place to stay! Surrounded by coconut trees & so much wildlife. The room was spacious and clean, the bed is really big & comfortable. The property is about 7 min walk to midigama beach- so it’s a perfect location. Very quiet too! You cant hear any of the parties nearby in ahangama. Super sweet family that own the place! Loved it so much we extended an extra 10 days. Super recommend! Only thing to mention is sometimes the shower doesn’t go hot- wasn’t an issue for me but something to mention :)

We enjoyed the stay so much, mainly because of the welcoming family. They were so helpful, friendly and decent the same way. Their little daughter treated our son like a brother with so such passion. A green and very quiet oasis, with no noise of the busy medigama main road. On the rooftop terasse with hammock and yoga mats i enjoyed chiling..
