Sound insulation was not great. Could hear a lot of what was happening both inside and outside the building. Ear plugs helped though.

Given its location right in the centre of everything, it is very noisy. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning, so you either have to leave the windows open and cope with the noise (which went on until 4am) or close them and cope with the heat. They did provide a fan though.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026I loved the staff, Doli and Quín were so kind and warm and always willing to help, the place was always clean and the room was spacious enough
The place doesn't have AC, so if you feel hot you'll have to use an electric fan, in my case since it was noisy I opened the window... but it was also noisy since the place is at the center of the road towards the cathedral. But my biggest issue was that the front desk leaves at 8 pm, the access is with a fiscal key, the phone of the front desk doesn't answer after 8 pm, neither the email, nor through their social media accounts. In addition to that the "emergency numbers" are in a blackboard INSIDE the facility, yet they don't answer. My issue was that I lost my key so I had to book a room in another place.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026The location is perfect. We walked the Camino and this was a perfect place to end our trip. Right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Great restaurants, shops and beautiful garden square. This is actually my second stay. The staff was very helpful in honoring special requests.
The room was a little small for 2 people, but we had twin beds, so it was acceptable.

The reception staff were very friendly, and the room was lovely with a view of the hustle and bustle. It’s noisy in the evenings, but we loved being right in the thick of it. Reviewed Aug 26, 2026When I booked this hotel, I was really looking forward to staying so close to the main cathedral in Santiago, although I hadn’t fully considered the downsides of staying right in the city center. The room was comfortable, the location was perfect, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming.
On Friday night, there was a concert in one of the nearby squares, combined with the constant noise of a city crowded with tourists. Because of the heat, we had to keep the windows open, and even earplugs didn’t help. The city only became quiet at around 2:30 a.m., and by 7:00 a.m. it was already lively again.

No merece la pena pagar 165€ por este tipo de habitación en el que las paredes están sucias y el mobiliario viejo. Creo que de verdad necesita un arreglo general de todo.

La limpieza regulera, el mobiliario está antiguo, las habitacion y el baño bastante pequeños y servicios muy mínimos. Si lo modernizarán sería otra cosa, una pena porque la ubicación es perfecta y es un edificio precioso por dentro y por fuera. No corresponde el precio con la calidad.

Siamo rimasti due notti, ma quando hanno rifatto la stanza non hanno messo i saponi, e hanno lasciato solo un asciugamano! La finestra non ha la tenda e quindi non puoi lasciare le finestre aperte perché la gente ti guarda dentro e passa troppa luce. La posizione ottimale, ma è nella parte più chiassosa della via principale!

I found the room to be a bit small for 2 people, bathroom very small and little space to keep clothing. The host was very nice and helpful.

Insgesamt alles ein wenig lieblos für den Preis: Das Bett war zu kurz, meine Zahnbürste stand im Plastikbecher, der Boden war schmutzig, es gab keine Kaffeemaschine und kein Wasser zu kaufen, wenn die Rezeption geschlossen war. Schade, denn das schöne Altstadthäuschen hat echt Potenzial.

Can be a tiny bit noisy in the evening, since all of the town's tourist and pilgrim traffic goes right under the windows of the hotel. But there is no bar directly underneath, so it's quite allright.

L’emplacement central est un atout par contre c’est très bruyant quand la fenêtre est ouverte et le temps était chaud lors de notre séjour, par conséquent il fallait choisir entre la chaleur ou le bruit…

No hay ascensor. Se escuchan las tuberías de los pisos superiores y al estar tan cerca de la plaza del Obradoiro hay mucho ruido de día y de noche. Difícil para descansar. Hay que cambiar el colchón porque tiene muelles sueltos y el apartamento es muy pequeño, apenas para ubicar bien las maletas cuando estás pocos días.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026No breakfast The man on reception was very friendly and helpful and I loved the tea and coffee corner! My only gripe was the noisy celebrations that went on aĺl night. They only stopped at daybreak and then the bin men arrived! It was the feast of Corpus Christi so maybe we were just unlucky and it's not usually that bad but. I didn't get a wink of sleep and had to get up at 5 anyway.
Too near the Cathedral so Camineros partying all night!

The noise from the streets was unavoidable due to location. Also staff were really put out when asked to organise taxi to bus station- you can walk there is what I was told! When they did organise a taxi to come the next day I was charged 16 euros for a 6-8 euro fare. Who got the kickback?

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Superb located! Just opening the window you'll see Obradoiro's square corner. So, it's easy to walk everywhere in the center town. Besides it's all spotless, and in a extremely good maintenance state. The surroundings are really noisy, but the isolation on windows lets you sleep properly. Notwithstanding, not all the rooms has orientated the same face. So, it's a lucky strike. Besides, not the whole rooms are equal on design and space disposition. To my point of view this must be noticed to customers on advance, even changing reservation policies, cos just as I could knew to choose types is not an option available on request.
Not so much to say. Could be desirable thinks about in put a microwave in the shared space at the entrance : Now you could find available a pair of kettles to prepare hot beverage or a soluble coffee , even some cookies are gifted. But to heat up some take away food , or baby's meal is necessary somehow.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Beliggenheten, nydelig utsikt over trivelig torg. Hadde to store vindu på rommet som ga mye lys og god mulighet til å lufte rommet. Passe stort rom og bad. Svært hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening.
Det var svært mye støy om natta. En ting er livet fra gata, men det kjørte ulike store og svært bråkete kjøretøy gjennom gatene flere ganger om natta. She was amazing in helping arrange very timely taxi rides for us and a friend of ours from the Camino Portugués. The staff did a great job keeping our room tidy each day. The fan in the room helped us manage the tremendous hot weather during our stay.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026The location is unbeatable, right next door to the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. The staff is amazing, very kind and helpful.
The room and bathroom are very small. There is no elevator. There is no AC and we were there during an unprecedented heat wave in Europe. We slept fine with the windows open.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2026Everything! We’ve stayed here before and it was just as magical. Our room was fabulous with views of the square. It really is in the best of locations, but quiet too. Communications are perfect and staff friendly. Great value and everything you need and more.
Nothing, we would love to have stayed longer and would stay here again in a heartbeat ❤️

Ich hatte aufgrund der tollen Bewertungen gebucht, bin aber sehr enttäuscht. Lage ist zentral, daher aber bis weit nach Mitternacht kein Schlaf möglich. Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, aber lieblos eingerichtet. Preis- Leistung passt meines Erachtens nicht.

Si bien el servicio no incluia desayuno, en la recepción habia agua caliente, café, té, etc. para poder tomar algo calentito antes de salir o al regresar después de largas caminatas. Muy recomendable!

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026Omg I don’t want to give a review that’s too good bc I want it to be available again when I go. I think it’s the nicest spot I’ve stayed. The windows opened up to the finish of the Camino. Every day I watch hundreds of people go by. Sooo cool.
No air. I didn’t need it so NBD but if it was hot it might be unbearable. Small room. Best for 1 person only.

No air conditioning which is standard in this area of Spain however the heat was excessive while I was there. A fan is provided which did help tremendously!
