Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Het hostel ligt in een heel mooi straatje in het centrum van Santiago de Compostela. Onderaan de hostel is er een gelijknamige bar waar je heel lekker kan ontbijten en lunchen. Het personeel is allemaal heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was een aangename afwisseling na al de herbergen die ik onderweg tijdens de Camino Primitivo bezocht. De kamer is echt wat je van een hotelkamer mag verwachten.
Eigenlijk niets. Het is prijzig maar je krijgt er wat voor terug. Die keuze maak je natuurlijk zelf en je zit in het hartje van een hele drukbezochte stad.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026We stayed here as pilgrims after completing the Camino. The hotel has a GREAT location, very close to the Cathedral. The windows block out all noise, so busy streets, but peaceful and tranquil in the room. Bonus was that 10 % Breakfast discount is offered at the Hotel Cafe downstairs (good food and coffee) and opens earlier exclusively for everyone staying at the hotel. Unfortunately we had to leave early for the airport - but the hotel offers a late check-out, so enjoy if you are able to leave later. You can leave your bags/backpacks with the hotel staff if you arrive before check-in.
We enjoyed everything. Just maybe a note to pilgrims staying here: You won't be able to rinse pilgrim clothes, as there is no drying rack, but this makes total sense as it is a hotel and not an albergue.

Even though a young girl was being trained in when we arrived, both she and her mentor were so nice.The housekeeping person had English and though busy, got an iron straight away when asked. The small hotel looks old worldly on its exterior and modern inside and very clean.
We would have liked to check in a bit earlier than 2pm but they politely explained that witj a 12.00 check out it was not possible

We finished the Portuguese Camino and the very next morning my husband became acutely ill requiring ambulance to hospital. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and so willing to go to extremes to support us in the most stressful time.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026We walked the Camino from Porto, Portugal, to Santiago. Hotel Suso was already in touch with us before we arrived to offer us a bigger room at the same rate. Everything about our stay there was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful, including allowing us to check-in well before the official check-in time, and looking up transport options to visit a site well away from the Cathedral area. (I caught the bus at their suggestion, which worked our great.) The location was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable, and the price was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Hostal Suso for pilgrims or anyone else visiting Santiago.

In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es unzählige Restaurants und Bars.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und nett eingerichtet. Toll fanden wir das Frühstück in der hoteleigenen Bar. Der Aufenthalt war super und wir würden wieder kommen.

Booking a taxi to airport, suggestions and booking local hairdresser, suggestions for lunch nothing was too much. Highly recommend Thank you
