The staff at the Pharoahs hotel are very helpful. The breakfast staff were friendly. The porters and front desk were very professional We double booked our room by mistake, and we were offered a refund when they realised it was a genuine mistake. There was no word of argument about it. Such goodwill and honesty is rare. We were very impressed.
Everything was as expected for what we paid. The location is great, and the staff are friendly, giving us advice to make sure we had a great stay
Location to the Nile, downtown Cairo
My room needs updating but it was very clean and comfortable.
They had a restaurant/bar attached so a few of us went for beers there on a few occasions even though, apart from one night, we stayed elsewhere.
They failed on a lot of levels. My Intrepid Tour was due to start at the Hotel so I booked one night beforehand. Then my tour changed to an earlier date, so I changed my booking. The hotel charged me on arrival but somehow they still had my booking recorded for the later date AND they charged me (a second time) - they suggested I did a "no-show" which is wrong. Then they suggested that my 2nd booking was through Trip.com - Trip.com confirmed that this was not the case - I have never used Trip for accommodation. They just won't admit they made a mistake and insist on keeping my money. I have tried with them, with Booking.com and now my bank to get this resolved. While I wait on my bank I will next contact Intrepid travel for assistance as they use this hotel as a starting point. If they respond to this msg, don't believe them. Before I knew about the double charge these were my comments: Numerous times they asked me to give a good review and they would give me a gift - fat chance of that happening now! The AC leaked a huge puddle on floor after only 30 mins. No fitted sheets on bed so the bottom sheet comes loose.
موظفين محترمين
Very friendly staff and helpful
Access to the travel group I was meeting with
Very good service
اعجبني موظف الاستقبال كان محترم وماقصرت معاي
ازعاج السيرات. العربيات
The included breakfast is very nice and it is in a very nice location right by the Nile and close access to many restaurants.
Wifi in my room was very spotty, although the wifi in Egypt in general seemed to not be so good so not sure if it could be fixed.
The location was in a very dirty street and didn't look save to walk around. The facilities are very round down.
Super friendly staff
Good location Nice view from restaurant
Shower didn’t drain well Needed a bit of maintenance Breakfast more geared towards locals and didn’t like smoking in restaurant
View from breakfast room was great, coffee was good, staff very accommodating to my requests
Wifi signal in the room was very weak
Very welcoming and helpful desk staff. Excellent breakfast. Room was tired and basic. Could have been cleaner and very noisy. Sheets didn’t fit bed. Strange.
Clean, excellent location, very close to the Nile.
Food and coffee in the restaurant was quite good. Comfortable with good aircon.
Inconsistent showers across rooms. Some of the young staff were not satisfied with amount tipped, and tried to ask for more. I’m sorry, but this is absolutely unprofessional.
Convenience for tour and airport connection
Poor internet service
I thought it was very nice and I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and the morning buffet as well. I felt safe and the staff helped out any time I needed something.
Everything was great
Location
Ac not cold.. no water in room
The restaurant is world class (okay maybe not but really good for Cairo) I took some gastro risks with the menu over multiple days and always felt fine afterwards. Tell them Tom sent you when you ask for the Lemon Mint with Ice if you are brave.
Reception management. Upon arrival They asked me to pay in Egyptian pounds and applied to themselfs a very favourable conversion rate (which I didn’t realise at the time, too naieve) Shower had warm - hot - scalding but no cold. Aircon did it best but was old and ineffective ( the quality you’d expect at a much cheaper hotel.) On the day I was due to fly out my flight was delayed and a friend I had met allowed me to leave my bags in his room and have a shower. Reception wasn’t happy🤷♂️ I explained that the price my new friend paid for his room a three bed “single” was actually substantially more than the (live) booking.com price for two people but he wouldn’t hear about it. My new friend then asked for a refund and said he would just rebook the room for two. (Impossible said the manager) fine I will pay an extra person excess, he insisted I pay cash and double the (live price) just for an extra person in the room not even an extra room? Crazy? I was on the booking.com app trying to just book the room and he kept trying to touch my phone (not sure why maybe to stop me booking and rob him of his ability of a quick cash bonus. Upset that I dare get a good price went to the hotel police (located at every western hotel to stop Egyptian and non Egyptian mixed unmarried couples sharing a room) but thankfully the policeman just shook his head (realising that the manager was on a power trip) I decided it was best to just go to the airport a few hrs early. I was escorted to the room and quickly made to pack. I ended up leaving things behind. The owner of the hotel seemed nice so I am assuming this was a rogue manager but your hotel is only as good as your staff. I can’t recommend. Check out my other reviews I like to think that I have always proven to be fair in the past.
Friendly staff. Appropriately priced. Rooms were clean.
The best things about this hotel are the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and the cafe. The cafe is first rate!
Housekeeping was a bit iffy
Reception & other hotel staff were warm welcoming and attentive
Rooms, linen and towels could do with a refresh

friendly staff , nice location
the photos of the rooms are not correct , i took the room with nile view but there was no balkon like the photo.
The room was spacious , comfortable and clean, with a nice balcony. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The hallway noise can get quite loud and the sound seems to carry throughout the hotel.
Clean room, good food, good care from staff all the time.
Nothing .
Café attached so you can eat or drink without out leaving.
on a side street but depending what side of building you are on it can be loud
The hotel restaurant view, breakfast buffet and restaurant staff were great. The bellboys were good. The bed in my 2nd room was comfortable.
The bed in my first room was hard as a rock. The bathroom showers were tiny and didn't drain well. The air conditioner leaked like mad and I had to use my towels on the floor to try to make sure the puddle didn't get too big. The room also was just on the borderline of clean enough/ a little grimy. When I switched rooms (not my decision, the hotel moved me as I was joining a tour group) I left a cloth laundry bag with dirty laundry including some expensive items in my first room and it disappeared. I understand I shouldn't have forgotten anything in room and ultimately the fault lay with me, but it was handled very poorly. The front desk staff kept telling me they had to talk to maid service but despite me asking multiple times over 2 days, they never followed up or were able to return my bag before I had to leave. I just felt like they were avoiding answering me and waiting for me to leave. If they had just told me that my bag was gone and apologized, this review would be probably a 7.
Great location room was fine
They overcharged us for the taxi we ordered
helpful friendly staff
unreliable wifi
I didn’t like any thing there
