Rossmore House

It is a beautiful home, great facilities, the hosts were very helpful & friendly, Marie's husband offered us a lift into town which was much appreciated .

It was a little far from town ,if unable to book a taxi, forest & canal walks close by, we walked to town which was nice weather permitting.

Friendly welcome. Very clean. It may not suit everyone but being on the edge of town rather than the centre was perfect for us. It was lovely and peaceful and quiet. Beautiful back garden. Very good value for money.

There was nothing to dislike. At the time of writing, I think there might be some further cooking facilities in the process of being installed in the main downstairs common room with the panoramic windows. I've already recommended this to a family who like to visit Monaghan but whose old family home there is in the process of being sold.

The property was located about a half hour walk from the village but our host kindly collected us from the bus station and later drove us into the village for lunch, providing us with recommendations as to where to eat. The house is situated in a quiet location close to the Rossmore Forest Park so is an ideal location if you enjoy hiking.

Beautiful rooms and super comfortable beds ! Facilities were excellent and the entire stay was very enjoyable . Our party was three adults and three children and all were very happy 😃

Very minor, but I woke at 4am. to hear footsteps on the floor above us, which lasted a good while.

Great room for the money. We arrived fairly late and left early in the morning but they were accommodating and the room was more than enough. Couldn't ask for more

Great hosts! Very clean. Besides our bedroom, a big room to relax in, and watch TV. Although breakfast not included, the hosts did provide, toast, milk, butter and jam to make your own breakfast!

It was a really nice stay at Rossmore, the host was extremely nice and friendly, willing to help us with all of our questions and needs. The room and the entire house was clean and the location was very calm and chill. It was really good!

Beautiful property extremely clean and the hosts were so accomodating to us

Lovely friendly host, very clean house, you have use of a sitting room and small kitchen and there was tea and coffee available for guests, a lovely touch. Location was perfect for me, as it is near friends, but it's only a few mins drive from town.

The only thing that slightly bothered me was the fact there were no locks on the bedroom door, but overall a good value place to stay.

Very comfortable with host and other guests, we all sat out the back in the morning and had our coffee and chatted and it was delightful 😊 house and facilities were spotless

The lady who owned the house Anna Marie, was so friendly and helpful a wonderful hostess. The room was warm and clean and we had toast for breakfast and other things were available.

A relaxing 1 night stay. Watched a movie in the lounge.

We found Rossmore House difficult to find but enjoyed our stay when we arrived. Could be a good idea to include the street number of property.

We had a wonderful time, place felt like a home from home. Slept well in comfy beds and was so glad to find tea, milk and bread etc provided. We definitely will be back and recommend the house and owners highly.

Very nice room and living area, good location and friendly staff.

The property was well placed in Monaghan for us as we were visiting family locally. The property itself was spacious, clean and the garden area was lovely. Thankfully the sun was shining during our stay so we enjoyed sitting outside when we were at the house. A short walk away from Rossmore Park, which we visited and also not far from the town centre. We had hired a car and there was room on the driveway and street for us. The hosts were lovely, they were not there 24/7 but when they were there they made sure we were okay.

Very Clean and Comfortable

We received a fantastic welcome from PJ, and were shown all of the facilities available to us. The setting is fantastic, on the door step of Rossmore Park, and yet so close to Monaghan town. It really was a very enjoyable stay, and if I’m back in the area again I would definitely stay here, and probably longer. Would highly recommend.

Decor, friendliness, location,

Bathrooms are not attached to rooms, and also nowhere to sit after we made a cup of tea.

The hosts are wonderful people, who made me feel at home. The entire place is very comfortable, and clean with great privacy. PJ went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and even dropped me off in town.
