The accommodation was beautifully presented, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything thoughtfully prepared for a relaxing stay. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. The location is excellent—close enough to enjoy everything in Riebeek Kasteel while still feeling quiet and private. The views and setting really added to the experience. What stood out most was the hospitality. The hosts were warm, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome from arrival to departure. You can tell a lot of care goes into making guests comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Riebeek Kasteel. We’d definitely stay again.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2026This is the most beautiful guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The house and interior decoration is a masterpiece. The room was so amazing I took a series of photos aof all the details in it. The owner is the architect as well as the artist of most of the paintings in the house as well as in my room.
Nothing to report, except the intensely hot weather, which is not the responsibility of the guesthouse!! I will return when the weather is cooler!

Reviewed Mar 7, 2026Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Gemütliches Zimmer mit verspielter Dekoration. Tee, Kaffee, Sherry, frische Früchte im Zimmer, einfach wunderbar. Hübscher kleiner Garten mit vielen Vögeln.
Liegestühle waren sehr schwer zum schieben. Als Alleinreisende habe ich es trotz zentraler Lage bevorzugt, abends das Auto zu nehmen. Dies ist nur ein Hinweis an Ladies und ist kein Kritikpunkt.

Reviewed Jan 1, 2026Absolute Castillo is een heel fijn plekje op een mooie, rustige locatie. De eigenaren zijn super lief en gastvrij en doen er alles aan om je je welkom te laten voelen. De kamer is comfortabel, het zwembadje heerlijk om even af te koelen en de kunst aan de muur geeft de plek extra sfeer. Alles was goed geregeld en het verblijf heeft mijn verwachtingen overtroffen. Een plek waar je je snel thuis voelt.

The hosts were not welcoming - waited for us when we got our bags with a credit card machine in hand. We already paid a 50% deposit and were booked for 3 nights. Surely we could first settle in and then pay the rest. The pool is not a pool, but a splash pool and it is shared with all the rooms and the grass area is super small.

We knew that breakfast was not included and the price certainly reflected that. We did miss breakfast and would have been happy to pay extra for it.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2023The accommodation was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable There are a total of 4 rooms, 2 upstairs, 2 downstairs. As this is not a B+B, ie self catering, there were tea and coffee making facilities with milk sugar and rusks Loadshedding timetable printed out for guests as there is no backup generator or solar. Rather weak emergency lights provided were not sufficient. We asked for others which were supplied. Water was cold on the first night as the geyser had not come on due to loadshedding. The host remedied that and water was hot for the duration of our stay
We personally did’nt like the spiritual atmosphere of the guesthouse , from the rose quarts crystals at the front door, the suggestive ( semi nude) paintings and the photos of long dead family / people glaring at you from the walls in the room
