Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Un posto magico dove trascorrere momenti meravigliosi nel silenzio totale. Quasi irreale. La cena preparata dalla mamma del proprietario è stata spettacolare. Prezzo onestissimo. La prossima volta quando torneremo speriamo di trovare l'aria condizionata.

Tutto. Casa sporca. C'erano scorpioni, insetti vari. Mancanza di aria condizionata nel deserto, un caldo insopportabile. Mancanza di scuri, persiane e tapparelle per le finestrelle per all'alba, ovvero alle 4 circa del mattino il sole entrava in stanza. Mi spiace mettere una recensione così, ma io ho pagato e ho lavorato per quei soldi e non ho chiuso occhio sia per il caldo insopportabile che per la presenza di insetti. Non capisco come si possa mettere giudizi positivi a questa struttura, sono da rivedere tutti perchè traggono in inganno le persone.

Reviewed May 23, 2026Un site exceptionnel "au milieu de nulle part" mais une étape à ne pas manquer pour ceux qui aiment le dépaysement. Salah et son frère sont très accueillants. Bien que seul dans cette grande maison, le couscous préparé d'avance était délicieux. Uns longue soirèe d'echanges avec Salah autour de mes photos de Tunisie datant de plus de 50 ans.
Le ciel !! ... qui, ce soir-là, était un peu nuageux et ne m'a pas permis d'apprécier la voute céleste sans polluton lumineuse.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2025Séjour de deux jours dans le logement de Saharaoui. Je pense que je n’ai jamais été aussi bien accueilli que dans cet endroit. J’ai visité plus de 30 pays et l’accueil de Saharaoui a été le meilleur de très loin, une personne exceptionnelle à la gentillesse et générosité infinie. Il m’a fait me sentir comme un membre de sa famille. Je ne peux que recommander cette expérience très touchante

Reviewed Sep 14, 2025Una struttura incredibile, il tempo si relativizza e ci si ritrova a passare ore a fissare l'orizzonte e le montagne circostanti dai suoi muri merlati. Purtroppo il giorno che ci siamo stati era nuvoloso e quindi abbiamo solo potuto immaginare cosa possa essere il cielo stellato. La cena era semplice ma molto buona e abbondante, così come la colazione. Avrei voluto lasciare un voto di 10 ma, nel periodo in cui siamo stati, la mancanza di aria condizionata si fa molto sentire.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2025La ubicació, la tranquilitat de l'entorn i l'amabilitat dels amfitrions. Ens van fer sentir com a casa i ens van preparar un sopar deliciós. A la nit vam gaudir d'un espectacle d'estels a la terrassa. Tot fantàstic.
És un una casa en mig del desert, pel que és molt difícil que tot estigui ben net. No tenia aire acondicionat però amb les finestres obertes (hi ha mosquiteres) feia un corrent d'aire que no feia falta.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2025Magical setting and a beautiful house on the edge of the Atlas mountains and an excellent location, not only to stay, but to tour the surrounding area packed with oases, canyons and film locations. Saharawhy, my host, was very helpful and informative and his mother cooked some delicious food for me. This place is the embodiment of Saharan hospitality and you would find such a place hard to beat.

Spazioso, pulito, ben fornito, isolato e sicuro, Castello Bianco è perfetto per sostare nei pressi delle Oasi di Chebika e Tamerza, e godere di una terrazza spettacolare. La cena è deliziosa e preparata con infinita premura; ma ciò che più mi resterà nel cuore è la dolcezza del proprietario, una persona squisita con una storia emozionante da condividere e una simpatia unica. Cercavo un luogo caratteristico e ho vissuto un sogno a occhi aperti.

Reviewed Jan 1, 2025A unique experience, in a remote location, at the foot of the mountains, with a lovely courtyard and great view of the night sky. Great to have the whole place to ourselves. The owner is very welcoming and speaks good English, plus offers an excellent, tasty dinner, cooked by his mother (at an additional cost), which we highly recommend. Perfect location for visiting Chebika, Midés and Tamaghza.
Solar heated shower was lukewarm, due to a cloudy sky that day (December) and currently lacking heating, so may be chilly Dec-Feb. Lounge/dining area feels homely, but bedroom could be made more homely, however the host is still working on the place, so in time will be a gem of a place to stay.

Reviewed May 14, 2024One of the best place I have ever stayed in. If you want a unique once in a lifetime place to spend the night, this is the one to choose. Situated against the beautiful Atlas mountains, the desert and a nice orchard. On the top floor you have magnificient views. I had the pleasure to stay 3 nights and they were fantastic. The host arranged breakfast and dinner for me and the quality of the food was very high. Price quality ratio is excellent. Very friendly host who is open for a nice conversation and even a tour through the new orchard. Facilities were in excellent condition, nice hot shower, good toilet, kitchen at your disposal. The host lives on the upper floor so you do not sleep alone in the Castle. The castle is situated outside town but it is safe none the less. Oh and watch out for the green peppers, host says they are not hot but he is Tunesian, so now you know what happened when I tried the green pepper!

Reviewed Apr 27, 2024This is probably the single most amazing place I have ever stayed in. A small castle in the middle of the desert, comfortable, clean, fully equipped with everything you might need. Located in a pleasant garden about 1km outside Chebika village, on the border between the desert and the mountains, it is a dream come true for all who want to get away from everything and enjoy complete serenity without sacrificing their comfort. It is also a fantastic base for exploring the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides, and taking advantage of other hiking opportunities in the area. Florian was prompt to answer all online inquiries, and Salah, who speaks French, English, Polish and Arabic and who lives across the road (about 20 minutes walking away), was exceptionally nice, kind and helpful. Unless you are afraid of wide open spaces or sleeping in complete isolation, do not hesitate. I tend to forget 95% of places I have stayed at. Castello Bianco is one place I will remember for sure.
Internet is a bit on a slower side, but then - you really don't come here to surf the net.
