The property is in a very central location, which makes it convenient for restaurants, shops, and exploring the area. The room was spacious, the Wi-Fi worked well, and we always had hot water available in the shower. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. The building shows some signs of age, particularly in the bathroom facilities, and there are a few visible imperfections in the room. However, these were mainly cosmetic and did not affect functionality. Because of the central location, there is noticeable traffic noise. Overall, it offers good value for people looking for a convenient base in the center of the town.

I genuinely enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the warm hospitality to the professionalism and kindness of the staff. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, which made the whole experience even better. You can really feel the attention to detail and the care they put into making guests feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

We arrived at 1am and the workers left very clear instructions on how to find our room so we could go straight to sleep. We really appreciated it. They were so friendly and left us a lovely note. Also the location is perfect and it’s so cheap.

Location and staff

I requested a room on second floor because I want to stay in a room more quiet but they arranged me a room on the ground floor and next to reception, so I could everyone passing by and asking the staff in the morning. There are several centipedes coming out from the shower floor when I showered two nights in a row, not just one, at least four!

Everything was truly amazing! The room was spotless and the location couldn’t have been better!!! A huge thank-you to the staff for assisting us with absolutely everything we needed. + The girls were incredibly friendly, warm, and polite — they really made our stay special! Thanks for everything !!! 10/10 !!! I totally recommend !!!

Location was brilliant as I don't ride a scooter everything was so close. Staff so attentive, when I come back will definitely be staying here. Originally booked for 5 nights and ended up staying extra 5 nights.

It was really convenient to have a shower available after check-out so we could freshen up before our evening flight. They also kindly stored our backpacks for the day. Very thoughtful and helpful!

The hosts made our after hours check in possible, which was appreciated. The room was clean and spacious. The location was excellent with loads of great food options nearby.

The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and everything was lovely and clean. The pool is also nice and relaxing. The kitchen facilities & water was also very useful. The location is also excellent for restaurants, shops etc. Very convenient. Also, the walk to the beach is relatively short. Due to its location you cannot hear the road, which is excellent, as this was an issue we had with our previous hotel. We would happily stay here again!

Komala Homestay exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the bathroom was brand new compared to other places I've stayed. Overall, the facility was extremely clean, and the location was great, close to everything. The place had a very pleasant energy. The staff was so kind. Thank you for everything.

I was here for a weekend, it is in the center but you don’t get bother by the noise of the trafic. I think is great if you want to chill around, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and they even have Netflix in case you want to relax in your room by the end of the day with your favorite show.

Beyond our expectations! Clean, great location, really helpful and friendly staff. The best hotel we’ve stayed at in Indonesia. Parking for scooter, and such a beautiful garden and pool area!

Big and clean room. Good AC. Not too much traffic noise as the place is at the end of an alley way. Easy access to restaurants. Beach is not too far away by foot.

A hidden gem in the heart of busy Canggu.

Great location in centre of Canggu. Great facilities and lots of space in the twin room and very reasonably priced! Staff were friendly and happy to help out. Rooms really clean and daily housekeeping.

The air con wasn't very powerful but was enough to keep room cool to sleep.

The room was great, very spacious and clean. The bathroom was more of a wet room so the shower splashed the toilet but it was clean and seemed standard for Bali. We were only there 2 nights but it seemed like a good location.

The only thing I would have liked is for larger bottles of drinking water to be provided in the rooms but this wasn't a big issue as they had a water cooler at reception.

We keep coming back to Komala as it has everything we need: great location, spacious, bright and clean room, super kind staff, great facilities.

It’s our second time staying at Komala - we stayed here last year and we loved it. Literally everything, from location, to the space, kind and accommodating staff + facilities. It’s literally a gem in the middle of Canggu for a super affordable price!

My friend and I stayed here for around 4wks, using it as our base. The place was clean and tidy and the staff were super helpful.

I rented 2 rooms, room number 1 and room number 2. Number 1 was fine but room number 2 was that awful smell of damp. Not sure if that was the aircon or room itself but it wasn't nice. When we came the hotel was fully booked so no chance to swap the room. Anyway the place is nice and I would stay there again but maybe not in room number 2.

I didn’t like anything about the property

The springs in the bed were unacceptable, I was moved to another room however that room had the same problem. Such an uncomfortable bed. Loud screeching noise outside my room until 10pm. There were ants in my bed !!!!! Such a let down. Do not stay here !!!!

The shower water ran black and there were little ants everywhere but it didn’t really ruin our stay just something to be aware of

Very comfortable room with a strong internet connection, smart TV, and well-working A/C. A thick, hard, very comfortable mattress to sleep on. Very quiet setting, disturbed one one night only by a loud guest. Close to restaurants, the center, a 15-minute walk from the beach.

The dogs in the lawn are very annoying sometimes. But barking dogs don't bite.

Perfect location very quiet and easy to get to the beach. The street is also packed with restaurants, we only walked during our stay here and just took a grab to visit Seminyak and Kuta. The hosts were lovely, they waited for us to check in late.

Mould smell but most accommodations are like that in Bali.
