立地がとにかく良かった。買い物途中にホテルに寄って荷物が置きに帰れたり、空港リムジンバス停にも近かったりと、便利な場所だった。

部屋に入ったとき、トイレの匂いが気になった。また、トイレットペーパーが流せなかった。

Mild odour from outside, but above all the fact that a hotel in Myeongdong won't let you flush toilet paper in the toilet but instead make you put it in a bin is insane. Not what I expected for Korea, especially in the heart of Seoul. Especially when for the same price you can find better hotels nearby.

The Sunshine Guesthouse is in a perfect location, with everything within walking distance (3–7 minutes), including Myeongdong Street/Night Market, 7-Eleven, GS25, bus station, LRT station, shopping malls, restaurants, and many hotels. They also provide luggage storage facilities, and the check-out time is 11:00 AM. There is a 24-hour coffee machine available, serving Americano coffee.

I stayed for a total of 5 nights and 6 days, but housekeeping was only done once during my stay. There was no proper support for basic amenities such as towels, toothpaste, or a toothbrush, so you need to bring your own if staying here. The room size is quite small and not suitable for larger luggage — it is difficult to fit two big suitcases (24”/28”) in the room. Additionally, one of my bags was damaged during the trip, and after I replaced it with a new one, I requested the hotel to help dispose of the old luggage. However, the reception charged KRW 39,000 for disposal, which I found unreasonable, especially considering I stayed for 5 nights and the hotel is not cheap.

地下鉄の駅にもエアポートリムジンバスの乗り場にも近くて便利だった。オンドルで部屋全体は暖まっていたけれど、少し寒かったので、エアコンのリモコンを貸してほしいと伝えると、使えるのは夏だけだそうで、オイルヒーターを用意してくれました。日本語も通じて安心できました。

ほかの部屋の声が聞こえるのが少し気になった。

位置非常好及方便

1）有兩晚回來發現地上有小蟑螂…. 2）一張桌子都沒有，椅只有一個，但帶入去浴室了，因為浴室完全沒有位置放衣服…只能把唯一的椅子放到浴室去放衣服了… 3）浴室沒布簾，洗澡會弄到廁所全濕、很麻煩 4）隔音超級差，睡了5晚，經常半夜被吵醒，儘管床很舒服，還是很影響睡眠質素。醒音吵得我幾乎以為隔壁住客就在我身旁。 5）有窗口跟沒的分別不大…. 6）升降機很麻煩….詳細不說了 7）價格來說有點貴但可能對明洞來說是便宜之選。 唯一不挑剔是位置很好，交通很方便。 我不會再來住了。

One washing machine. Not enough for group usage. No dryer. Limited time usage. Possible solution. If there can be a laundry room fitted with 2 washing machine and 2 dryer will be ideal. Just for consideration.

If you're coming to Korea, this is the best place to stay — hands down! Located right in the heart of Myeongdong, this guesthouse offers the absolute best location in Seoul. It's in a hotspot area within walking distance to major tourist attractions, and just 2 minutes away from both the metro and bus stations. It’s also the best area for shopping and street food. You can safely return even late at night — the streets are alive with open restaurants, convenience stores, currency exchanges, and essential shops. Everything you need is right there — much more convenient than staying in other parts of the city. The rooms and the guesthouse are super clean, neat, cozy, and very well managed. But what truly makes this place special is the mazing staff and management team, who always greet you with a big smile and are ready to assist. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but nowhere have I felt more welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to assist me with every question and request — I genuinely felt like I was at home. I’ll definitely stay here again. Just don’t make the same mistake I did: I didn’t pay for my full stay upfront while waiting for my visa and had to move out for two nights — they were fully booked. I deeply regretted it because other places didn’t come close to the comfort, cleanliness, and warmth of Sunshine Guesthouse. Another great plus: they have a laundry area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy common area where you can work, relax, or meet fellow travelers, and repeated guests. As a solo traveler, I met amazing people here and made lifelong friends. This guesthouse didn’t just meet my expectations — it exceeded them and made my Seoul experience unforgettable. For the location, service and price, everything was really good.

the guesthouse is close to the myeongdong shopping street. The airport limousine stop is just 5mins walk away. The bathroom gives out a sewage smell, but the owner put an automatic airfreshener in the bathroom to get rid of the smell.

We book 4nights for 2single bed but they gave us bunk bed that is not my booking we come very late pass midnight i inform them but our room was really not accecptable for the price of KRW539,212 for SGD was $497.27 small room no space for our 2medium and 1small laugage we cannot walk oredi to our room if we open our laugage then no table cannot put anything i put my things in my bed very funny have one stand with 2layer hard thing but they have note that if make dirty u have to pay to them so i ask my son don't use coz it might be get dirty. Toilet small no bidet the heater sometimes hot then suddenly cold we stay 4nights no clean at all our room and we must throw away our own rubbish by our self and put the small use towel then u get ur self the fresh towel to outside near the counter .The one stool in our room was broken also i give back to them and then they fix but still not really good my son on the top of the bunk bed was sitting in the floor.But when i saw the next door of my room they 2single bed and some room i saw when the customer was leaving they have long table why they give us this 4nights room is not worth what i pay now i learn i must be careful upon booking anyway .I will come back to Korea but i'm not book this anymore . march 20 to march 24 ,2025 stay here 4nights

The location was great - Myeongdong night market & shopping streets were just out the door. Just a block away from the airport bus stop. Very convenient.

My windowless double bed room was tiny. It had barely enough room on the floor for a small suitcase. The photos on booking.com did not show the toilet & sink were part of the shower enclosure, so everything got wet.

This is our second time staying here. First was last November with only two of us and now we got 2 rooms— 1 for our own family with a Toddler and the other one for out senior parents. The property was very clean, at the center of restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores, train station and airport bus drop off was super nearby too. The check in and check out was seamless & everything we needed were all here. Free hot and cold water, some other freebie food on the table and the utensils are easily available for everyone. This is definitely value for money. The staff were also so nice. They helled with our requests and made sure our rooms are ready and equipped with adaptors upon arrival at midnight. It’s the cheapest place in the area too! Definitely worth it. This will surely be our designated home accomodation everytime we’re seoul.

Very noisy all throughout the night, could hear people in the hallway and slamming their doors, sounded like it could nearly be happening in my room. Bugs in the room. Towels for the shower were the size of hand towels. The outlet in the room didn't work.

This Establishment is not a "Guesthouse" but rather a "Hostel"type of living environment. The rooms we paid for were super-tiny, a standard triple and 2 small beds. I stayed in the room with 2 small beds as it was just myself BUT even then I felt like I was in a prison cell because of the size and the 2 beds took up the little remaining space. I laid my Checked Luggage at the inside entrance to the room on the floor and could barely get to the bed as there was no walking space. PLEASE HAVE THE ESTABLISHMENT READ THE FULL PAGE OF RULES TO YOU BEFORE BOOKING YOUR RESERVATION BECAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE FOR LOST KEY (CARD), DIRTY SHEETS (THEIR SHEETS ARE WHITE), YOU HAVE TO EMPTY YOUR OWN TRASH AND THEIR LITTLE TRASH RECEPTACLES IN THE BEDROOM AND BATHROOM ARE VERY SMALL. IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER AND ESPECIALLY USED TO UNITED STATES CUSTOMER HOSPITALITY, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. UPON CHECK-OUT I LEFT A FEW PAPER NAPKINS (ONE A MAKE-UP REMOVER TOWELETTE) ON THE SECOND BED WITH A FORK AND KNIFE...THEY HAD OFFERED TO BOOK A TAXI FOR US AND WE WERE WONDERING WHY THE GIRL WAS STALLING THEN SHE CAME DOWN THE HALL SAYING,"CONTAMINATION, CONTAMINATION" SHE MOTIONED TO ME AND I FOLLOWED HER TO MY ROOM. APPARENTLY HOUSEKEEPING HAD REPORTED TO HER THAT I HAD LEFT A LOT OF TRASH ON THE BED WHEN WE ASKED HER TWICE TO SHOW US THE TRASH THEY FINALLY SHOWED US THE 2 NAPKINS AND PAPER TOWELETTE. THEY STATED THAT THE SHEET WAS STAINED AND HAD US PAY 20,000 KOREA WON...IF WE DIDN'T PAY THAT I DON'T THINK THAT WE WOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO LEAVE TO CATCH OUR FLIGHT TO THE AIRPORT. THEY MADE A PRETTY BIG DEAL OF THE SITUATION PLUS THE TAXI THEY BOOKED FOR US WAS AN EXTRA $10. BUCKS THAN USUALLY CHARGED, A KOREAN FRIEND WHO WAS HELPING US INFORMED US OF THIS. BE MINDFUL AND ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS SO YOU WON'T EXPERIENCE UNEXPECTED UNPLEASANT SURPRISES!

The guest house is located on a very prime location in the heart of the Myeongdong market. Everything is easily available the moment you step off the place. The best part is it's hardly 2-3 minutes walk to bus stop and metro station. Even airport limousine stops in front of the guest house. Daiso is just a few steps away. It's a clean and well maintained place.

The location of this hotel is what makes it so good. The facilities and accommodation are what you would expect for this price range and calibre of hotel.
