Reviewed Sep 10, 2026What a unique experience we had at Guestling House, surrounded by ducks, chickens, a vineyard, and an apple orchard! Meeting the super-friendly neighbour and her llamas was such a fun bonus. Huge shoutout to Shannon and Kelsey too—the delightful breakfast basket was an awesome surprise and a huge hit for the family. I even bought two bottles of bubbly! This is the perfect location for a country getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich. In dem großen, geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnzimmer fühlte man sich sehr willkommen. Die Zimmer hatten schöne Möbel. Es war sauber.
Die Qualität des Bettes, es gab keine Nachttische und kein Licht am Bett. Das Bad war sehr einfach und Dusche sehr eng.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Maison propre et joliment décorée, située dans un cadre très bucolique. Nous avons bien apprécié le petit déjeuner déposé à notre porte le matin et que nous avons ensuite pu manger sur une petite table dans le jardin.
Gênés par le bruit des autres locataires car les parois sont fines et les portes grincent fortement.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Hartelijke ontvangst en op zich prima, basic ingerichte kamers, met een prima badkamer op de gang (niet gedeeld). Ontbijtmandje met verse producten werd voor de kamerdeur gezet en je kon het desgewenst buiten in het zitje of op een van de picknicktafels opeten. Zelf koffie of thee zetten. Grote tuin en gezellig setting met rondlopende kippen, hanen en eenden. Ik denk op zich prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.
Ik vond het bed slecht, kreeg pijn in mijn rug en heb de halve nacht zittend op de bank geslapen. Mijn reisgenoten hadden hier overigens veel minder last van, al vonden ze het ook niet supercomfortabel. De hanen begonnen, uiteraard zeer vroeg, onder ons raam te kraaien en hielden ook niet echt op, en dat kwam de toch al niet beste nachtrust niet helemaal ten goede. Toch vind ik het wel een leuke accommodatie, maar ik hou wel van dat landelijke met die kippen e.d. :-)

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Fantastische gastvrouw. Gaf ook veel tips over waar ik kon eten in de buurt. En een goede tip moet je altijd opvolgen. Mooie, landelijke omgeving. In de verte uitzicht op zee. genoeg parkeerplaats en gratis. Leuk ingericht huis, niet supernetjes of gelikt, maar gemoedelijk en uitnodigend. scharrelende kippen en ganzen rond het huis. En naast een wijngaard. Zij gaan deze dit jaar oogsten (2026).
Het viel mij persoonlijk niet tegen maar er is geen televisie op de kamer. Dit is een bewuste keuze van de gastvrouw. En daar benig het mee eens.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026It was different! Very cozy and staff extremely welcoming. Beautiful surroundings, chickens and ducks wandering around. It was just a lovely place to stay - away from distractions. Peaceful would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again. Hugely welcoming to guests with Dogs the rooms are very spacious and the beds are massive!!! absolutely loved the complementary picnic basket with fresh fruit & juices, cafetière coffee and freshly baked croissants delivered right to your door in the morning! It’s a stones throw from Hastings or Rye and Camber Sands. Loved it!
The large rooms and huge bay windows made the rooms light and inviting. There was a shared living room which was extremely cozy a decking with sofas and gas barbecues out the back. It really was a great place to get away to. We only stayed one night but we’ll stay longer in the future.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Shannon, Gracie and the chickens were very welcoming. The room was really comfortable and the vineyard lovely to walk round. The complimentary (not £75 as on booking,com) breakfast basket with two pâstries each, fresh juice, fruit and real coffee with fresh milk was delivered to our door each morning and the chickens enjoyed the few crumbs left. Definitely stay here again.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026Sehr ruhig gelegenes Gästehaus. Direkt an einem Weinberg gelegen. Frei laufende Hühner und Enten im Garten. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Zweckmäßig eingerichtetes Zimmer mit bequemem Bett. Liebevoll eingerichteter Gemeinschaftsraum/Wohnzimmer.
Nachteil der ruhigen Lage ist, dass man keine Restaurants oder Geschäfte zu Fuß erreichen kann.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Lovely farm house a short drive away from town, with ducks and chickens wondering around the huge garden. Super friendly host. There is a large shared living room for the guests to share. Nice quiet location. Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer.
No power sockets by the bed, so any electronics would need to be plugged in else-ware (maybe only a problem if you have a CPAP).

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026Really warm welcome from Shannon, who was delightful and very helpful. We liked the free-range chickens and the easy feel to the guest house. The breakfast was a good idea - served in a basket on our doorstep at 7 a.m. Delicious pastries, fruit and tea / coffee.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Lage für unsere Zwecke sehr gut. Die Einfahrt ist jedoch von der Straße aus leicht übersehbar. Großer kostenloser Parkplatz. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Managerin. Super Gartenblick vom Zimmer, mit Hühnern, Enten etc. Sehr interessante Idee, das Frühstück im Körbchen zu servieren und vor der Tür abzustellen, so dass man nicht an Frühstückszeiten gebunden ist. Es könnte allerdings etwas reichhaltiger und variabler sein bzw. ein Wunschmenu für den nächsten Tag beinhalten. Einige Pubs und Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr schöne ländliche Gegend.
Keine Ablageflächen im Bad, auch im Zimmer sehr wenige Ablagemöglichkeiten. Nur eine Sitzgelegenheit.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026De gastvrouw was super vriendelijk. We hadden de de luxe kamer op de begane grond met openslaande deuren naar het terras waar je fijn buiten kon zitten. Het bed was goed. Er was een gezellige huiskamer alleen voor de gasten waar lekkere cake voor je klaar stond. Sochtends stond een gratis ontbijtje in een mandje voor je deur. Erg attent.

Reviewed Apr 16, 2026Second time I have stayed here and with two dogs this time. Shannon host remembered me and her and daughter said hello to new puppy. Big room, big bed, good nights sleep - quiet. Love all the chickens in the backyard and the cockerel, and the large green spaces. Is in a good location. Has Parking. Breakfast delivered to your door with tea and coffee in the room . Is a bargain such good value for money. Will stay again. Help yourself to cake and put donation in the honesty box.
Shower a little bit too small. Note no tv but there is a lovely lounge with tv for guests.

Wir hatten vom Bett aus einem tollen Ausblick auf den Garten Um Haus laufen viele Hühner und Gänse frei rum, ist natürlich nicht jeder Manns oder Frau Sache. Wir hatten unsere Freude an den Tieren Ist aber trotzdem Ruhig Sehr Freundliche Gastgeberin Gute Idee mit dem Brotkorb zum Frühstück. Da ist aber noch Luft nach oben, da keine Brötchen, Wurst oder Käse dabei ist Das wir das gewusst haben, haben wir die Sachen am Vorabend selbst eingekauft

The house is beautiful, with a spacious and lovely decorated communal area and we stayed in a room on the top floor - which was absolutely beautiful. high ceilings, lovely decor, lots of space, bathroom ensuite (with a lovely hot shower), very big and comfy bed! Breakfast comes with fresh juice in a cute basket right to your doorstep. i was traveling with my senior dog and they even stored some precooked food for him as he wasn't too well (which was very kind).
Wifi wasn't working too well but didn't need it so i didn't ask about it

La posizione ottima, a pochi minuti di auto da Hastings dove ci sono locali molto carini dove cenare. Consigliatissimo!
