Reviewed Feb 22, 2025This is the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The cottage is located on the beach itself, we admired the sunsets every evening. The cottage has everything you need for a perfect vacation, even more! The owner of the cottage was very hospitable, helped us with all the questions, you can also rent a bike from him. I hope to come again if possible.

Reviewed Nov 2, 2024My son and I loved our stay at Village Cottage! It is perfectly located on Dikwella beach. Moments from swimming and surfing, and a short walk from the town. Within walking distance to Turtle Point Beach and with Hiri just down the road, it really is a great base to explore the area. Having your own garden facing the waves is amazing. The trees provide great shade for little ones to safely play outside during the day. And, who doesn’t love the sound of waves?! The cottage is really clean and comfortable, and has everything you need. Jasin is wonderful, super helpful and kind. We consider him a friend now and look forward to visiting him again when we return. I can not recommend this place enough. It is a little gem, in a great town, by the sea ☀️🏝️ Thank you so much for having us 😊
