Es war ein richtig schöner Aufenthalt. Der Host und seine Familie sind sehr nett und helfen einem bei allem weiter. Wir haben viele tolle Touren gemacht. Der Host hat uns mit TukTuk überall hin gefahren, wo wir wollten und das Essen in der Unterkunft war super 👍🏼

I had such a lovely stay here. The family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they really helped make my time in Habarana special. The room was comfortable, and the guesthouse was a peaceful place to stay while exploring the area. One of the best parts was the food. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, homemade and different each day, so I got to try a really nice variety of Sri Lankan dishes during my stay. They also arranged everything for my visits from picking me up at the train station, to Pidurangala, Sigiriya and the elephant safari, which made exploring the area so easy. As a solo traveller, it was especially nice not having to figure out all the transport and logistics myself. The whole experience felt very personal and genuine. I’m really grateful for how well they looked after me and would happily recommend staying here, especially if you’re travelling solo and want a friendly base for exploring Habarana and the surrounding area.

We stayed at Lavender Resort expecting a clean and nature-y accomodation. We got that and so much more. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights and got a great deal out of it. Firstly, the food is absolutely delicious. We always made sure to eat at the house. When we came back from a daytrip the family made sure we feel welcome. Also when we told them our plans for the next few days, they offered to organize everything and did so superbly. Through daytrips we eventually got to know the whole family. We did a Safari Tour in Minneriya, went to Anuradhapure for an authentic buddhistic experience, climbed up Pidurangala and visited Dambulla with the Rock Caves and also could go to the market. We also got an Ayurvedic massage nearby and on our last day we went to Polonnaruwa. Lastly and what will stay with us forever is the connection we felt with the whole family. They were openhearted towards us and we got the feeling that they really enjoyed having us - so we loved staying with them. We recommend the Lavender Resort to anyone who wants a comfortable accomodation and an authentic experience getting to know a Sri Lankan family.

A wonderful place to stay! The homestay was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and felt very welcome. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again! ❤️

Great welcome by the host and his family. Very easy and stress free train pick up and a tailor made program for the next day around Sigirya and Dambulla temple

PERFECT SRILANKAN BREAKFAST. THE OWNER WAS VERY HELPFUL. HE ORGANIZED SAFARI AS WELL. HE FOUND A GOOD DRIVER.

A LITTLE TO NOISY A/C

Such a wonderful place in the jungle! Lots of biodiversity, it feels so good to be in here. Sanje and his family are such amazing and caring people. They cook the breakfast for me several times, it was delicious and ask me to join them for dinner. We've been also to Pollonaruwa together I highly recommend this place, and that's not far from Habanara Train station, very practical. Hope to come back soon

The owner Sanje and his family are very kind and caring hosts. The room was excellent for the price, very clean. Sanje also organized the safari and personally drove me to Sigiriya and Sri Magallena stupa in his tuk tuk, saving me the hassle of arranging everything myself. A special shout out to his young sons. It was really sweet of them to accompany me on the safari so that I didnt have to go alone :-) To top it all off, he is a professional chef and the meals he prepared were amazing.

What I loved most about my stay was the family who runs the hotel. They are incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely caring people who make you feel like part of their home from the very first moment. Their hospitality goes far beyond expectations — always smiling, helpful, and attentive.

Super accueil dans une maison neuve et très propre. Tout fonctionne l'eau chaude, la douche... Le petit déjeuner et le dîner sont délicieux et très copieux. Une belle terrasse attenante à la chambre. Le lieu est très calme, pas de bruit la nuit. Nos enfants ont adorés. Petite balade agréable juste à côté.

Die Gastfamilie war überaus hilfsbereit und freundlich. Alle haben mitgewirkt uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten mit vielen Tipps wie Elefanten Safari golden Tempel Sigarya Felsen etc.

I spent one night in this hotel. I appreciated both the location and the hosts' desire to offer quality service. Indeed, I went for a walk by a pond and visited a temple on the way, then I went to meet the elephants with the family, it was a pleasant moment. On the other hand, my host kindly made sure that I arrived at the train station with peace of mind for my connecting flight and sorted out a logistical problem for my fellow travellers. This hotel offers quality service: room, shower room, food, environment and hosts. Thank you very much.

I have stayed at lavender resort in last month. Starting from first impression to last impression I felt like a home because their hospitality incredible & food was really delicious. furthermore room also comfortable with other amenities. room area & bathroom clean & tidy. highly recommended Lavender resort for everyone who looking budget & comfortable place around Habarana area.
