Lovely secluded villa, set in well developed grounds about 15 minutes from Tauranga. Good interaction with the host. Very comfy bed, Sunny outdoor spot for a late morning breakie or cuppa. Plus lovely cuddles with Juno, the most affectionate cat. Well layed out & everything I needed for a short stay away from home while I had bathroom renovations done.

Absolutely stunning property from the moment you drive up the entrance. Everything was exceptionally clean. The host provided little extras like different body wash for men and women. It was a real treat to stay there. Everything was top quality. Loved the location, and also getting to have chickens and the goat on the property. Staying at the sanctuary was the highlight of our trip. The only thing I would say, is it gets cold when every window doesn’t have drapes, but the air conditioning works well. Just be more efficient to have drapes. We felt totally spoilt to stay at such a beautiful property.

This recent stay was way better than a Motel, where I would often stay in Tauranga. Modern, bright and well appointed. Great comms with the host. Will be booking more stays.

My stay at the villa was absolute bliss, the whole place was utterly stunning and our host was incredibly welcoming to me and my wife . We loved the serene peace and quiet, it was like a total escape from the chaos of everyday life, and the cherry on top was the breathtaking tennis court right next to the house - felt like we had our own little slice of paradise! The gardens were also truly magnificent, full of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and we even spotted some gorgeous animals grazing in the paddocks right behind the fence, the stunning swimming pool is located at the back, overlooking the host's equally beautiful house, which added to the overall sense of luxury and tranquility . it was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. The whole experience was just incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating, we felt so lucky to have had the chance to stay there.

We loved everything about the villa, and leaving it was bittersweet we were so sad heading back to Auckland, almost like we wanted to turn around and go back, but we had to head back to Auckland because we’ve got a bunch of stuff lined up for tomorrow

A home away from home, very clean and beautifully presented. It had everything we needed, private but yet close to town.

There was nothing we didn't like

This place is idyllic! We didn’t want to leave! So quiet, the owners are easily reachable but leave you to it during your stay. We loved the location! The owners dog also popped over a few times to say hello to us. Unfortunately it was quite stormy over our stay so we didn’t make much use of the pool, however we did get out on the tennis court! Spent most of our time relaxing, reading and just enjoying a restful stay! The guest house is very well equipped, the only thing I’d add is a washing machine so if you’re staying longer you have washing facilities, but there is a utility sink in the bathroom so you could hand wash if you needed. We’d love to stay again!

The pool is completely off the villa like atleast 100m off and it’s in between the hosts private property so wasn’t comfortable accessing it.

Everything, very secluded location, clean and modern! The bed was super comfy, the house was spacious and clean. I regret not booking more than a night. They also have an adorable doggie that hangs around the property, she’s extremely friendly too! Not to mention a tennis court and pool all to yourself! Surrounded by veggies to pick, flowers and animals around the home, what’s not to love.

Amazing secluded space. The Villa felt very luxurious and we were surrounded by beautiful gardens and animals. Very comfortable bed and loved the full kitchen that we had to cook etc.

The property was absolutely stunning. High ceilings made the space feel extra spacious. Plenty of room to relax and unwind in your own separate spaces. Loved that there was a tennis court and rackets which we put to use. The goats and chickens gave gave it an extra touch of country which added to the peaceful feel.

I did notice the outside bar near kitchen window was a bit dusty and had a few cobwebs around the window but we didn’t have a need to use this so was no issue at all for us.

Absolutely amazing property. Amenities are fabulous the kitchen is amazing well thought out it’s quite comfortable and the visits from Merlin & Lily were amazing. I felt totally relaxed staying there had the best sleeps. Managed by a fantastic owner who is caring (but leaves you alone) and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Didn't really find anything I didn't like Taking into account the time of the year we were there

The villa was absolutely lovely, it was warm when we arrived later in the day and had all the amenities anybody would require during their stay. The different animals in nearby paddocks were a delight, and the Californian quail was a bonus to see the next morning. So close to the city, but it felt like you were miles away from bustling Tauranga. Host (Janelle) was very helpful with any queries I had, which was much appreciated.

The photo of the house and pool on the website was a bit confusing, as I hadn't viewed all the photos upon making the booking (missed the photo of the villa) and I thought when we arrived that we'd gone to the wrong section.

Excellent use of space, very comfy, fantastic shower, awesome kitchen and a lovely bed. Everything was great. The tennis court just outside was a great bit of fun. We loved how friendly Merlin was :)

We loved the Sanctuary, our hosts were very accommodating and made sure it was warm on arrival ( which I really appreciated ). Had everything we needed for mini getaway. Will definitely be back again.

Just one thing there was no curtains in the kitchen area but was totally fine.

Huge property, private villa away from owners house. Kitchen fully equipped, comfy bed and inside was everything you need. Goats were friendly and got a visit from their dog Merlin!! Unfortunately rain prevented us from using tennis court and pool.

Private detached Villa, own private parking and very comfortable.. beautiful layout. Animals are charming and hospitable. Close to all amenities and the beach. Ideal if you want some me time. Tennis court outside your door alot of fun. a smooth check in. Villa is open on arrival for you, which I think is fantastic. Only one negative' be nice to have a soaking tub either inside or outside would have been a 10.

The location was superb. I loved it. So peaceful and very well maintained place. I was so amazed about the place.

Was a bit disappointed that we had to share the pool facilities with the owners. Especially as it wasn’t mentioned on the website booking. Was looking forward to a swim but husband wasn’t to keen as it was on the owners back yard. Otherwise loved staying there. Was also a bit far out from town.

A beautiful and spacious garden house with every modern convenience, kitted out to five star level and located in a big estate and a great environment. A welcoming host and a convenient out of town location to visit Tauranga or Rotorua. Good value for money.

The entire facility was neat and tidy, offering plenty of relaxing activities around the property, such as interacting with the sheep, goats, and chickens. We had an unexpected but delightful encounter with Merlin, an amazing host dog who kept us company throughout our stay. He was incredibly well-behaved, and we will miss him dearly. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back soon!

Beautiful space,well equipped kitchen. We loved our visit from the dog, playing tennis and spa/pool. Great communication from hosts.

The property was exceptionally beautiful, so peaceful, private and quiet. I arranged with the owner to prepare a surprise engagement for my sister and brother in-law and it was absolutely perfect! The villa was so cozy and the owners were very accomodating to our requests, we will definitely be booking here again in the near future ☺️

Beautiful stunning wish I had the money to buy 😍 Swimming pool and spa peaceful hosts were lovely let us enjoy some veggies from the garden some fresh eggs were given and welcomed my partner with some chocolates bubbles and a card for his 30th had an amazing peaceful 2days never wanted to leave. Place was very tidy spotless they had some animals over the fence and 2 lovely dogs who love to great you witch my partner absolutely loved wouldn’t had asked for a better stay and next time I need a break from Auckland I know where to go .

This place is perfect for a couple, it has all the essentials needed for your stay, the host was very lovely and very accomodating. The garden was the cherry on top for us as we love cooking and found it very useful. 10/10 and well deserved.

Superb property shape, modern and new. Very tidy and clean all way through. Perfect calm place in nature. Amazing surroundings, nature, farm, sheep and goats, we also meet a cat when she join us playing tennis. Very peaceful and calming. Wish we could stay longer.

It was such a quiet and peaceful place to rest. Small farms for free veges, nice pool and spas and sheep and chickens are in the backyard, we kept a great memory in this place. The owner was so kind and made us feel like it was home.

Everything was excellent. The villa was beautiful; the host had everything you could ever ask for in this villa, and being next to beautiful farm animals (Goats and chickens) made it that much more beautiful. On top of the animals, shout out to our new dog friends Merlin and Lilly, who are such beautiful animals who will visit you and keep you company throughout your stay. Thank you to the host for this beautiful villa.

To be honest, the main reason I booked this villa was because the pool looked amazing in the photos, and its aesthetic really drew me in. I was a bit disappointed to find out that the pool wasn't part of the villa itself but was actually located at the owner's house nearby, making it a shared pool area. While that’s totally fine, as introverts, we felt a bit shy about using the pool since it was at the owner's place. In the end, we didn’t get to use it as much as I had hoped, which was a shame since the pool was the main reason I booked the villa in the first place.

Everything was well thought of, high quality, clean, quite and peaceful. Having chickens, sheep and goats over the fence to talk to was lovely too

the location is absolutely fantastic relaxing and very peaceful. chickens sheep and goats plus gardens, an orchard and a tennis court next to the villa you really couldn't find a better place to stay in my view. great bedroom really comfortable large bed, great bathroom lounge and dining kitchen. Also a laundry area if you need it , i personally didn't but a great facility none the less.

Everything we needed was provided for and more. Perfect for anyone who wants to explore the surrounding area. It was a very relaxing stay. We could tell that the host really wanted us to have a pleasant experience and they succeeded. There is also a lovely dog who greeted us in the morning which was a great surprise!
