Royal Residency

Staff was very friendly and welcoming , they helped me with everything. I wish them all the best

Nothing , everything was good

Hosts live on the property. Ideally located near the airport for those arriving in Mauritius late or have an early flight in the morning. The wife and husband were very hospitable and offered a set meal for dinner with a drink for a modest fee. Also they provided a drop off service to the airport to your timetable., also at a modest fee. The room; (mine was on the ground floor, others were upstairs) was very clean, mine was rather large with split unit airconditioning, Netflix at no additional charge and even a lounge. Bathroom was basic with shower , hand basin and toilet, towels and soap, but everything one needed. Bed was large, comfortable. And well presented. They also had a guest lounge with TV, tea and coffee, toaster, refrigerator with bread and butter for guests use and comfortable chairs and tables and even provided cake! I notice they did multiple trips to the airport to meet each guests timetable. Some were very early, mine was at 7.15 am and the other guests were leaving around 10 am. The location was acceptably quiet except for some religious “wailing” from dome temple in the area.

The facility is about 3 mins to the airport and about 10 minutes to the mall and that makes it a great location. the only challenge is that there is no convinence store close by which makes it difficult to get anthying small or evn a small breakfast given that it doesnt offer a standard breakfast.

I did not like theier offer for breakfast: only bread and coffee.

Close to the airport. Very friendly hostess. Staff going out of their way to accommodate your every need.

Surrounding neighborhood. My mistake was to miss the turn-off at night and ended up in surrounding streets which are very narrow and a bit dodgy. But if you go straight to the guesthouse, you will have a good experience.

Great airport transfer and very kind owners

Wifi was cutting off frequently

Close to the airport and great communication.

A lovely surprise near the airport. Very welcoming, relaxed, felt right at home!

Very close proximity to the airport (5 mins). Very friendly, helpful hosts/receptionist. Simple breakfast/tea and coffee selection available.

The bathroom was tiny (approx. 1,5 square meters) and had very poor drainage. There were added costs not disclosed when I made my booking. The amount I ended up having to pay was 30% greater than the price shown on Booking.com.

La proximité de l'aéroport

My room was comfortable and clean. Comfortable bed to sleep on and air-conditioning. My hostess was very friendly, welcoming, well informed and helpful. The collection from the airport and back again were very convenient.

There was enough hot water in the shower but no hot water in the basin. In the heat and humidity of Mauritius, cotton sheets would have been more comfortable.

FYI

La gentillesse des hôtes

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfortable and affordable accommodation close to airport and airport shuttle.

Nothing all was great. Well done to the team.

Correct, smooth and efficient airport pick up and drop off. Good communication English or French. Luxury Rooms, well equiped. Ideal for in between two flights long transit ( Rodrigues to Paris) fast check in. Friendly host, good service.

Magnifique patio. Une grande cuisine est à disposition. Très belle chambre. Dame de l'hôtel extrêmement gentille.

Problème pour régler eau chaude/eau froide

Team is very responsive and do assist in exploring Mauritius.

Large room with a big bed, just as pictured. Well furnished room with everything we needed for our stay. The rooms don't have mini fridges but there is a kitchen space with a fridge you can use. Staff are super friendly and helpful - even offer you the option of having dinner at the property. We had to drop off our hire car so grabbed dinner in the nearby town which is only 10-15mins walk away. Great location for the airport and they organised a car to take us to the airport at 2.45am (extra cost but extremely reasonable). There is a lovely open air dining room with sofas to eat/relax/work etc.

Maybe a slightly more efficient system for getting into the building as it seemed like the doorbell wasn't working but we just called when we first arrived as they have a number listed and it is on whats app - second time we knocked loudly. Honestly this is just nitpicking as everything was great!

The accommodation was close to the airport and served our purposes well. There is a lovely eating area out the back which was a nice surprise.

Very nice host and willing to help, the room is clean and quiet, and very close to the airport
