Monsieur Michel

After our holiday in France, we decided to stop in Dinant as our final destination, and staying with Valérie and Michel was the perfect choice. We received such a warm welcome from Valérie and Michel. Everything was explained very clearly and in such a friendly way, and they were extremely helpful with anything we needed during our stay. 🫶 After the long drive, we were especially happy to be welcomed with Belgian beer and some snacks — such a lovely touch and exactly what we needed to relax and arrive properly. Michel also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, and we had a wonderful dinner. The accommodation is very central but still wonderfully quiet, with everything within easy walking distance. From the terrace, there is a beautiful view of the mountains and the owners’ lovely garden. But the real gem is the apartment itself. It is part of the owners’ house (but separate), and has been created and maintained with so much love, care and great taste. You can really see how much the owners care about their property — everything is beautifully looked after, spotless and thoughtfully arranged. It immediately feels cosy and welcoming. They have also thought of so many little details: toiletries, slippers, bathrobes and everything else you might need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was excellent, with such a great variety that we couldn’t even manage to eat everything! We are so grateful to Valérie and Michel for their wonderful hospitality and for making our last day of vacation so special. We wish them all the very best and hope they continue to have many wonderful guests. 🫶 A well-deserved 10/10 — we would absolutely love to come back, and recommend it 👌🏻🙌

Welcome was exceptional, felt we were staying with friends. Beer and snacks were really unexpected and really appreciated. Location was great, place was amazing to explore. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and lots of choice. Will definitely return.

Wir hatten eine fantastische, leider zu kurze Zeit in dieser Unterkunft und haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen. Schon beim Check-in wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und die beiden Gastgeber waren während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts äußerst zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. ​Das Zimmer war makellos sauber, gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Auch die Lage ist einfach perfekt: Man erreicht vieles schnell und unkompliziert, vor allem das der Parkplatz inbegriffen ist. ​Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und kommen beim nächsten Mal sehr gerne wieder. Heerlijke B&B. Mooi ingerichte ruime slaapkamer, een aparte kamer om te ontbijten en een fijne badkamer. De tuin heb je tot je beschikking om heerlijk te ontspannen. De auto kan op eigen terrein geparkeerd worden. Voor de auto-opladers (info mist nogal eens) in het centrum (loopafstand) vind je Interparking, niet de goedkoopste maar centraal gelegen. Vanuit de B&B is Dinant makkelijk te bewandelen. Maar het fijnste zijn toch wel de hosts. Michel & Valerie zijn relaxed, vriendelijk, echt geïnteresseerd en geven je ruimte. Valerie brengt elke morgen een fantastisch ontbijt met elke keer een wisselend karakter. Een echt feest.

Die Tage in der Unterkunft waren einfach toll: die Lage zentral im Ort, die Zimmer in der Villa sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war lecker, vielseitig und reichte fast für den ganzen Tag. Die Sitzplätze im Garten, der eigene Parkplatz, die Ruhe und Stille. Valerie und Michel sind perfekte Gastgeber. Nur zu empfehlen, vielen Dank.

Ci è piaciuto tutto. In particolare la gentilezza e la generosità di Michel e la moglie, due bellissime persone che, nonostante non parlassero inglese, si sono fatti in 4 per rendere speciale il nostro soggiorno.

Eine sehr liebevoll eingerichtete Wohung im Zentrum von Dinant. Die Gastgeberin hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und das Frühstück war spitze. Für Paare sehr zu empfehlen.

Alles was top, perfecte locatie, warme ontvangst, het ontbijt was superlekker en alles maar dan ook echt alles is voorzien in het cosy appartement... want dat is het : gezellig ingericht, ruim en rustig. Dankjewel voor de fjine ontvangst.

Excellent breakfast with freshly prepared hot and cold food and with drinks all served in our own room. Great shower and use of garden with many seating areas. Michel and Valerie couldn’t have been more generous! The breakfasts were usually enough for our lunch too. We had a fridge, so in went what we couldn’t eat in the morning. We were there in the June 2026 heatwave, so they provided ice creams and cold beer as well! We also had no less than 3 electric fans which were life savers, especially at night. There’s a nice private bit of the garden we could sit in. It’s in walking distance of the train station and close to the centre of Dinant. The heat made it impossible to do everything we intended in Dinant, so we will certainly return and stay with Michel and Valerie!

Everything was perfect. We had a very nice welcome when we arrived. We have been to many countries and hotels, but I can say that this was the best breakfast, served personally by the owner. The apartment was decorated with great elegance, with attention to even the smallest details. The central part of Dinant was very close. I can only recommend this place to everyone.

Vi kände oss mycket välkomna från första stund. Valerie och Michel bjöd direkt på en lokal öl i trädgården, något som satt mycket fint efter några timmar bakom ratten. Här fick vi bland annat tips om lokala restauranger. En perfekt start. Boendet inklusive den privata parkeringen låg centralt, ändå mycket lugnt och skyddat bakom låst grind. Lägenheten var en del av det stora huset, men med egen privat ingång. Den bestod av ett stort sovrum med sköna sängar, ett matrum med matbord, fåtölj, kylskåp, microvågsugn, kaffemaskin, vattenkokare med mera. Här fanns även en stor servis med porslin, koppar, glas, bestick mm. Utöver detta hade Valerie ställt fram dignande skålar med godis. kex, teer, kaffepods och i kylen fri tillgång till läsk och vatten. Toalett- och badrumsdelen var välplanerad och fräsch. Här fanns ett överflöd av tvålar, små parfymförpackningar, medicinskåp, skoputs, skönhetsartiklar mm fritt till vårt förfogande. Vi kunde själva välja tidpunkt för frukostservering och då kom Valerie med en välfylld frukostkorg och dukade fram på vårt matbord. Sedan valde vi att sätta oss ute i trädgården där vi hade ett privat bord just utanför fönstret. Trots att allt var perfekt vill vi ändå framhålla värdparets gästvänlighet som det som stod ut allra mest. Utan att på något sätt vara påflugna såg de till att vi hade det så bra som det bara var möjligt under vår vistelse. Vid våra resor värdesätter viii alltid boendet högt, att ha en bekväm sömn och inbjudande bas att hämta kraft ur. Det här var precis så, och lite till.

Die Gastgeber sind super nett und man hat eher ein Mini Appartement mit einer Terasse und riesigen Garten. Man ist sofort im Centrum, allerdings finde ich, die Stadt ist etwas runtergekommen.

Es war sehr schön, Valerie&Michel sehr freundlich. Haben uns ein super Frühstück zubereitet. Ein sehr schöner Garten. Absolut top. Danke

Valerie und ihr Frühstück, das für den ganzen Tag reichte. Ms. Michel und die uns vermittelte Erkenntnis, dass Paix Dieu das beste belgische Bier ist.

Sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Das kleine Apartment in einer schönen alten Villa war sehr charmant. Wir bekamen jeden Morgen ein gutes Frühstück mit ausgesuchten Leckereien einer hervorragenden Bäckerei. Das Auto kann auf dem Privatgrundstück geparkt werden, was für uns wegen der mitgeführten Fahrräder sehr angenehm war. Die Lage ist zentral und Restaurants sind fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Also unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Prachtig mini appartementje . Er is een prachtige tuin bij en het ligt op loopafstand van restaurants en het centrum van Dinant. Valerie en Michel zijn heel gastvrij en doen alles om je een fantastisch verblijf te bezorgen. Het ontbijt wordt in het appartement geserveerd en is meer dan compleet. Een echte aanrader.

Heel uitgebreid voor een B&B met extra kamer om te verblijven en spullen kwijt te kunnen. Privé koelkast was na een tijd rondreizen echt een uitkomst. Super verzorgd ontbijt, heel hygiënisch en echt een luxe gevoel met badjassen en badslippers. De adviezen over de omgeving waren ook erg goed. Elke dag een koud biertje uit de omgeving is ook super. De hosts zijn super aardig en niet opdringerig waardoor we ons heel welkom en op ons gemak voelden. Het terrein is afgesloten met een hek waarvan we de sleutel kregen dus de auto stond ook veilig met nog bagage erin.

The place is in a wonderful location and within an easy walk of most of the town. The room is a self contained annex with everything you might need. Breakfast was generous and delivered at a pre arranged time. The couple who run this place worked hard to make us feel very welcome. A beer on the lawn after our journey was a lovey touch. There’s secure parking inside the property too

I am not sure if it was an oversight but the sheets on the bed were not very luxurious. A shame as otherwise this was a 10/10

The attention to detail was wonderful (Coffee! Slippers! Candy! Etc etc etc). Very, very friendly owner. Ideally situated in the city centre. Truly delicious breakfast!

Ontvangst was zeer hartelijk. Locatie was prachtig en rustig in centrum met lekker ontbijt

Supervriendelijke ontvangst. Bij aankomst kregen we, naast een Leffe bier en chipje, ook uitleg over een leuke wandeling en een aan te raden (gravel) fietsroute richting de Maredsous abdij. Ontbijt was top!

In het centrum gelegen. Gezellig en van alle gemakken voorzien, leuke accommodatie. En met een een lieve host. Prima ontbijt en je krijgt zelfs een lunchpakketje mee voor onderweg.

This isn't just a room. This offers a bedroom with a 2 person couch, a great TV, and ample space. Separately, you have a dining room, which is also used for serving breakfast. This room features a fridge, espresso machine, microwave, coffee, and thee. The fridge had bottled water and cold drinks! The bathroom is adequate. We came in late fall but the heating was on when we arrived. I'm very happy I decided for Monsieur Michel instead of the nearby hotel.

Die Unterkunft war zentral gelegen, mit privatem Parkplatz, was in der Stadt sehr wertvoll ist. Die Einrichtung war wunderbar und es war alles da, was man sich gewünscht hat. Die Hosts Valerie und Michel waren sehr freundlich und haben uns ein absolut köstliches Frühstück zubereitet.

Hosts were very welcoming. After a long ride on motorbike, we were treated with a beer, property had everything you needed, lots of toiletries in bathroom, tea, coffee cold drinks included in fridge, property was very clean and bike was safe, could not have asked for anything more, lovely place, ran by a lovely couple, would highly recommend 5 star plus 😀

Het ontbijt was ongelofelijk uitgebreid en heerlijk. De eigenaren waren hele lieve mensen die in hun beste woordje Nederlands echt gezellig met ons hebben gekletst

Es gab jeden Tag ein sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Vermieter waren sehr, sehr nett. Wir fühlten uns willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Accueil très sympathique, dans une villa typique avec un beau aménagement à l’intérieur et des décos bien soignées. Tout ce dont vous auriez besoin est disponible. Proche du centre mais c’est très calme durant la nuit, stationnement sécurisé, jardin magnifique, petit déjeuner copieux et bon ! À recommander absolument !

Tout est parfait dans cette chambre d'hôte : l'accueil, la décoration, l'emplacement. Nous avons reçu bcp d'attention de la part de nos hôtes qui ont été aux petits soins que ce soit à l'arrivée comme au départ. Si vous voulez visiter Dinant, allez dans cette chambre d'hôte.

Gastfreundlichkeit der Gastgeber

Uns hat am besten der herzliche Empfang bei der Anreise und die Verabschiedung gefallen. Michel und seine Frau sind wunderbare Gastgeber.

Prachtig gelegen locatie, 5 minuten wandelen van de meeste horeca-punten en bezienswaardigheden. Het ontbijt was zéér uitgebreid, vers en verzorgd. En we kregen elke dag een aperitief hapje met drankje (lokaal biertje). De eigenaars waren zéér vriendelijk en alles was op en top verzorgd. Dit is een echte aanrader en zijn geld zeker en vast waard.

Fabulous self contained apartment in beautiful house with lovely outside space. Michel and Val are just amazing hosts. We were greeted with Belgium beer and nibbles. Incredible breakfast and excellent secure on site parking. 10 minutes walk to river side with lots to do restaurants, boat trips, cathedral. Make sure you visit the citadel via cable car. Ticket includes the best interactive historical tour we have ever experienced. (Allow about 2 hours)

Our hosts were absolutely lovely, kind and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were superb. The property was very close to the centre of town but very quiet. It had a lovely garden to sit out in. Its probably the best B&B we've ever stayed in.

It was perfect, there was nothing we didn't like.

Very nice place, served by very kind and warm people

This is a one bedroomed self contained b&b on a wing of the owner's property - perfectly situated in the centre of Dinant and with parking so we could leave leave the rental car in the driveway. The decor was gorgeous - very homely (the photo on this site doesn't do it justice!), Monsieur Michel greeted us on arrival and his lovely wife served breakfast at our requested time the next morning. Waking up and looking out over the garden was lovely! Thank you!

Monsieur Michel exceeded our expectations, the whole experience was totally amazing. The accommodation comprises three rooms on the ground floor of a beautiful old town house with access to the garden. Secure off road parking behind automatic gates so close to the town centre was a real bonus. The rooms were stylishly decorated and had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. Valerie is the perfect host, very friendly, helpful and welcoming and the breakfast each morning was a delight! We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Monsieur Michel.

On arrival the hosts were really friendly although we had limited understanding of the different languages, we were able to communicate ok. The property was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The hosts supplied a good range of drinks for our duration of our stay. Private off road parking.

The property was perfect, personally we found Dinant a bit too busy for our liking, the river front was beautiful but very touristy during the day, evenings were quieter, we stayed over a weekend.

One of the BEST places we have ever stayed. A beautiful restored wing of a traditional Belgian town house - so stylish and comfortable and the hostess was amazing - particularly recommend for motorcyclists!

Accommodation was absolutely fantastic with free parking and very close to the city centre. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast served at a time suggested by us was lovely. Would highly recommend a stay here, and we would definitely love to stay again in the future.

Great location to visit Dinant. Rooms are very nicely decorated and the hostess was very friendly! We have to come back in summer once to enjoy the terrace/garden.
