The ambience

Clean, quiet and comfortable, well situated for touring around Jebel Akhdar. Lovely outside space and outdoor kitchen area, perfect for managing during Ramadan. Very responsive host, allowed early check in which was great. 1 minute drive to sevwral good local restaurants and shops.

The location only

I was very disappointed with my stay. The room was not clean, and there were many insects and mosquitoes inside, which made it very uncomfortable. The bedsheets also did not look clean. I had booked two rooms, but only one was provided. The staff told us not to open the doors and windows to avoid insects, and we followed this instruction. However, the problem was not because of that—the place was already not clean, and insects were already inside. This really affected our experience, and overall, the stay did not meet my expectations.

Location was great but this is where it ends.

The flat we stayed at is in some serious need of TLC and deep cleaning. Dirty floor, fridge, bathrooms , living space, kitchen etc. Shelving in the bathroom is literally falling apart, no towels, no soap/body wash. Just a few tissues and one toilet roll.We came to dirty bedroom that was infested with ants. When we brought it up , it was my husband that was asked to spray them with the ant repellent. One pillow per person and even that was a very questionable quality. Not to mention the bedding that also had weird stains.

The place is extremely clean, and everything you need is available in the room. The décor is inspired by the surrounding environment. The location is in the city center, close to the mosque and all services. Value for Money.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experience I had during my recent stay at the Rose Guesthouse. The chalet was beautifully appointed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The attention to detail in the décor and the well-thought-out amenities made me feel right at home. The breathtaking views and serene surroundings provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the chalet. It was evident that the team takes great pride in maintaining high standards. The facilities were fantastic. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning to the Rose Guesthouse in the future and i have already recommend it to friends and family.

Let's start with the fact that the owner waited until the end of the free cancellation period, although the accommodation was booked long ago, and then he told us that only 4x4 cars were allowed into this location, laughed mockingly at our questions on WhatsApp and offered transfers for 50 reals one way, although they found a police station near the police post drivers without problems for 20 reals. The apartments themselves correspond to the photographs, but besides you there will be cockroaches living there, they will be everywhere, water was running from the refrigerator, no towels, no soap, no shampoo, no dishes, the owner didn’t even put a bag of coffee or tea in the kitchen, as I understand it the owner thinks that guests should take all this with them?! The apartment is terribly damp and cold, the air conditioner is humming, but it doesn’t add comfort; when you wake up, you will feel all the “joy” of getting out of a damp bed and putting on damp clothes! I highly do not recommend these apartments and the “hospitable” owner of these apartments!

So so many mosquitoes everywhere around the property especially outside the door of the apartment in the staircase area. It was terrible as we couldn’t open any doors.

Very spacious, good value, privacy, nice backyard with eating space, location near good hikes, internet, good communication with landlord, responsive.

Kitchen and silverware could have been cleaner.

We arrived earlier than expected and we could leave our bags which was really great. It was a clean space, right near the front door but very quiet. There was an outdoor kitchen we could use though it had some ants.

There wasn't a sign out front though so it was a little confusing about where to go. Once we contacted the owner via Whatsapp the caretaker met us outside though.

I booked a property for four guests I was surprised that the property only fit two people. The host charged me extra money to get mattresses for my kids. Also the entrance was full of mosquitoes, although the cleaner was aware of the situation but nothing was done to get rid of the mosquitoes before our arrival The family hall does not have curtain, not suitable for family to stay comfortably at evening time.

TV is available but not working. Now Wifi. No towels. No bath or shower kit.

Everything about the lodge was pleasant and memorable. Loved the stay.
