A little bit hard to find and the males that hang out in the streets outside the hostel were a little bit unsettling

Tolle Unterkunft, schöne Dachterasse, tolles Frühstück, sehr nette Menschen und freundliches Personal. Hatte einen schönen Aufenthalt dort haben sogar einen Tag länger gebucht. Es war auch sehr sauber.

Etwas schwierig zu finden, es gibt kein Schild an der Tür, aber ist machbar :)

​I am writing this review to warn future travelers about my experience at Hostel Marrakchy. During my stay, I was in a vulnerable situation having recently been the victim of an assault and scam in Dakhla. Instead of professional hospitality, I faced exploitation and harassment. ​When I initially asked for assistance in setting up a payment plan to cover my stay while I sorted out my legal and financial matters, the management refused to cooperate and mocked my situation, suggesting I create a GoFundMe. I was eventually forced to involve the police to mediate a fair agreement. Despite the manager agreeing to a fixed price in the presence of an officer, he unilaterally increased the price the very next day. ​Furthermore, there are serious issues with their business practices: ​Illegal Taxation: The hostel attempts to charge a 20% VAT, despite the standard legal VAT for tourist accommodation in Morocco being 10%. ​Withholding Services: Over the course of my stay, they systematically stripped away basic services. Breakfast and AC were removed and had to be fought for, and my internet connection was cut off entirely for the final three days. ​Hostile Management: When I raised these issues, the manager adopted a dismissive and entitled attitude, claiming he was 'doing me a favor' by allowing me to stay. ​Lack of Documentation: They consistently refused to provide receipts for cash payments. I was only able to receive a receipt upon my departure by insisting on it in front of a police officer. ​I strongly advise against staying at this establishment. There is a complete lack of integrity, basic respect, and compliance with local hospitality regulations.

Es war unglaublich schön gestaltet. Gerade mit den verschiedenen Stockwerken und der Dekoration ider den Fenstern im Haus an den Wänden. Es war auch schön mit Farben eingerichtet und wirkte aber nicht zu bunt. Ausserdem wzrde jeden Tag gereinigt znd die Betten gemacht. Es hatte wie beschrieben eine Klimaanlage und man konnte Frühstpckt auch später erst bestellen. Es wurde immer frisch zubereitet und war echt sehr lecker. Die Dachterasse hat mir echt sehr gefallen und war sehr heimelig. Gerade fpr die Abende und man hatte einen super Ausblick auf die Stadt. Ausserdem waren die Mittarbeiter sehr freundlich.

Viel Negatives gabe es kaum. Leider war die Türe sowie das Haus nicht angeschrieben, was etwas blöd war zum finden. Auch hatte es keine Klingel, was ein Klopfen erforderte, welches man nicht immer hlrt, gerade wenn man ganz oben ist. Danach hat man natürlich einen Schlüssel. Im Uassenbereich tropfte manchmal Wasser von der Klimaanlage heruas, wesshalb der Boden dann nass war aber der wurde dann immer am nächsten Tag von einer sehr netten Mittarbeiterin gründlich gereinigt. Eventuell auch etwas aufpassen wegen den engen Gassen. Etwas gefürchig manchmal, auch wenn Einwohner dir immer ein Geschöft anbieten wollen😆 ist das etwas stressig aber das war halb so schlumm, wenn man nicht drauf eingeht, gehen die wieder

Onestamente il bagno in comune non era un vero e proprio bagno ma c'erano al piano terra e al primo piano due piccoli bagni, al piano terra due docce e nell'area ricevimento e nella scala del primo piano due lavandini molto piccoli per potersi lavare davanti a tutti. Partendo presto entrambe le mattine abbiamo chiesto di poter avere la colazione al sacco e inizialmente per il primo giorno ci hanno detto di no e per il secondo giorno hanno detto che probabilmente sarebbe stato possibile, ma poi non abbiamo avuto nulla.

Had a great stay, the rooms and facilities are clean. I slept really well and breakfast was amazing.

The hosts were exceptionally friendly and proactive; they reached out to us prior to arrival and even escorted us back to the property late at night. Our room and the shared showers were spotless, and the air conditioning ensured a comfortable night's sleep. Overall, it was a solid stay that offered good value for money.

The location was intimidating and confusing, completely lacking any signage. We were harassed by local youths demanding money for directions, who cursed at us daily when we refused. Since there was only one access street, we couldn't avoid them, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the breakfast was unremarkable, and management was little difficult to reach on our departure day.

The place is very good and well maintained. Ibra was very courteous and nice. The location was a bit difficult to find in the beginning but Ibra guided us on the video call. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy and everything was clean. The terrace was great to hangout late night. Me and my friend enjoyed our stay very much.

Won't say I didn't like it but as a suggestion it would be great to have small wardrobe, if not normal size, to keep the clothes in the room.

It was a very pleasant stay, the staff is very helpful and friendly :) Breakfast was great, the entire place has a very homely atmosphere. The only thing I’d suggest is to put more indications on how to get there as it took us a second to figure it out, but thankfully we bumped into some locals who guided our way:)

Fica relativamente próximo dos principais pontos turísticos dando pra ir a pé da hospedagem até eles.

Tendo em vista que nosso vôo chegou de madrugada eu fiz um pedido de check in mais cedo. O pedido foi aceito, no entanto, quando chegamos na hospedagem fomos impedidos de entrar. Nos sentimos muito inseguros na rua altas horas da noite. Depois de muita conversa o anfitrião permitiu que pelo menos ficássemos no hall de entrada até amanhecer o dia mas para isso nos cobrou €11 por hóspede; além da taxa extra de €5 que já estava previsto. Talvez tenha havido alguma falha entre o anfitrião e a plataforma; não sei. Só sei que isso gerou um desconforto muito grande.

Das Happy Marrakchy Hostel ist eine echte Entdeckung mitten in der Medina. Die Unterkunft ist frisch renoviert, sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet – mit viel Kunst an den Wänden und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Die zweigeschossige Dachterrasse ist ein tolles Highlight. Trotz der dichten Bebauung ringsum ist es im Haus erstaunlich ruhig. Die Größe des Hostels ist genau richtig – es gibt wenige Betten, was alles sehr überschaubar und angenehm macht. Der Gastgeber ist ein freundlicher, hilfsbereiter junger Mann, der mir unter anderem erklärt hat, wo ich meinen Mietwagen sicher parken kann – fußläufig in zehn Minuten erreichbar, aber außerhalb des engen Gassenlabyrinths der Altstadt. Auf jedem Stockwerk gibt es eine Toilette, im Erdgeschoss zudem Duschen. Das WLAN funktioniert nicht überall, was für mich mit lokaler SIM-Karte aber kein Problem war. Alles in allem haben die Betreiber aus dem Gebäude in dieser einfachen Nachbarschaft wirklich das Beste gemacht.

Der Fußweg zur Unterkunft durch die engen, dunklen und etwas unübersichtlichen Gassen der Medina ist gewöhnungsbedürftig – insbesondere im Dunkeln oder mit Gepäck. Man wird dort gelegentlich von Anwohnern angesprochen, die Hilfe anbieten. Gefährlich fühlt es sich dabei nicht an, aber wer das erste Mal dort ist, sollte sich das etwas Zeit für die Orientierung einplanen. Das Frühstück war etwas spärlich, und die Matratze hatte eine deutliche Delle – hier wäre etwas mehr Komfort wünschenswert. Die Waschbecken befinden sich im Innenhof, was etwas weniger Privatsphäre bedeutet, bei der überschaubaren Gästezahl aber kaum ins Gewicht fällt.

They could do with a sign or anything at all on the door to let you know you're there. We ended up doing what you're not supposed to do and paying a kid to show us where it was as if you don't have internet there is no way of knowing what door to knock on

É próximo dos principais pontos turísticos, dá pra fazer a pé a maioria deles.

A cama não é confortável, a iluminação do quarto é precária. Uma situação muito estranha que ocorreu é que, eu havia solicitado a entrada na acomodação antes do horário do check in previsto. O pedido foi aceito, no entanto, quando chegamos, fomos impedidos de entrar; disse que precisava esperar o horário de check in. O problema é que já era de madrugada quando chegamos. Depois de muita conversa permitiu que ficássemos no hall de entrada até amanhecer o dia mas tivemos que pagar €22 por isso, além da taxa extra de €5 que a acomodação já cobra.

Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites und zuvorkommendes Personal. Schönes, sauberes Zimmer und eine tolle Dachterrasse zum Entspannen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Lage ist ebenfalls super. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Die Türe zur Dusche ist leider defekt.

A szobák szépek és tiszták voltak, az épületben mindig finom illat volt, a személyzet rendkívül segítőkész és kedves volt, minden kérdésünk, kérésünk azonnal megoldásra került.

I bagni sono in comune e le docce non le ho trovate il massimo..potrebbe dare una sistemata

The room itself was good. Although a lot of light enters and you can hear everything. Staff is really nice.

The location is a bit sketchy. In front of the door boy wait to offer you help for money. They could put a sign at the hostel. We had 2 days of cold showers.

Das Hostel war sehr schön und liebevoll dekoriert. Es gab jeden Morgen frisch zubereitetes Frühstück. Unser Zimmer war gross, wir hatten reichlich Platz. Die Dusche und Toilette waren immer sehr sauber, es wurde jeden Tag geputzt. Es gibt eine Terrasse sowie eine etwas höhere Dachterrasse. Ibra und die anderen waren soo freundlich und lieb. Sie haben immer geholfen wenn wir etwas wissen wollten oder Hilfe brauchten. Es gibt viele Aktivitäten im Angebot, wobei wir eine 3-tägige Wüsten tour gebucht haben. (Sehr zu empfehlen!! Viele Stopps zwischendurch wie zum Beispiel Ait Ben Haddou Besuch) Es lief alles reibungslos ab. Auch ein Schuttle zum Flughafen konnte bei Abreise spontan organisiert werden. Wir fühlten uns wohl und hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt.

Het personeel van dit hostel is werkelijk geweldig! We werden onwijs goed ontvangen en meteen goed vooruit geholpen.

We hadden online niet gezien dat het een gedeelde badkamer was (onze eigen schuld), maar achteraf viel het reuze mee. Genoeg sanitair aanwezig en allemaal brandschoon

The staff was lovely and gave us a warm welcome. The room was fantastic, quiet, and very clean. We're very happy to have ended our trip around Morocco by spending a night at this hostel, perfect for relaxing and getting a good night's rest before heading home.

Ibrahim ( le gérant) est adorable et très bienveillant envers nous ! L'Hostel est bien équipé est propre, et le soir il y a une ambiance très convivial entre les residents.

Être sur un lit superposé, dificilite le rangement avec son casier situé en bas... et le quartier assez reculé

Best hostel in marakkesh! The staff were absolutely lovely, great rooftop and courtyard in the middle of the property and everything very clean. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back here soon!!

The staff were very helpful and super friendly. They made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed our stay.

The location was not well signed. The sign they had apparently got taken down. So when you are messaged by the hosts and offered to be met or helped to be guided in we recommend taking them up on this as the street is a dead end and it is difficult to know the location of the Riad! Also there is no bottled water given here in the rooms so make sure you grab some to keep with you! :)

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The room and bed sheets were clean.

Not easy to find but the host met us on the main street which was nice and very much needed. We were lacking the hand soap.

Das sauberste und schönste Hostel in dem wir je waren. Sehr schönes und großes Zimmer, sehr gemütliche Betten und ein wunderschöner Aufenthaltsbereich mit super Frühstück!! Super gastfreundliches und hilfsbereites Personal:))

Ein bisschen schwierig zu finden und ein bisschen unsicheres Gefühl in den Seitengassen zum Hostel, aber das Personal hat sich sehr darum bemüht, uns den Aufenthalt so sicher wie möglich zu gestalten (Abholung von der Hauptstraße, Empfehlungen,…)

Buen ambiente!! Un hostal para jóvenes en busca de una experiencia!! La atención, limpieza, desayuno maravilloso!! Esta ubicado en la Medina vieja. Fue difícil de llegar para mi con 60s .Un poco retirado del centro. Fueron muy amables conmigo!!

Bien que proche des points touristiques la localisation est abominable ET pas indiquée. L'hôtel est placée au fond d'une impasse sombre et absolument rien n'indique la bonne porte, ni sonnette, ni panneaux ni rien. Je déconseille absolument de faire le check in de nuit

Buona posizione molto vicino al centro I ragazzi sono stati super accoglienti e disponibili. Ho fatto il check in molto tardi e mi hanno anche procurato l’acqua per bere. Colazione buona Bagno e camere sempre pulite

Very very clean. We had a great time due to the friendliness of the owner/managers/staff and the other guests who, as chance would have it were also great!

Nothing... except not being able to find it due to NO Sign on the door or anywhere saying you had arrived correctly. You are at the mercy of having to ask people who then demand money for telling you! It's obviously a scam setup by the local boys mafia! 😄

Die Dachterasse war super gemütlich, das frühstück war sehr lecker. Der Standort ist perfekt.

es war einbisschen ringhörig, wodurch dersch schlaf einwenig gestört wurde. Die Touren würde ich nicht mit dem Hostel buchen, sehr teuer und kann man an anderen orten günstiger buchen.

La atención de Ibra es excelente, no se puede ser más amable. Nos ayudó en todo lo q necesitamos para movernos por Marrakech. Y los otros dos chicos igual. Desayuno muy bueno. Cama confortable, sabanas limpias y buenas almohadas.

La ubicación es buena pero para encontrarlo cuesta un poco. No estaría mal señalizar con algún letrero en el callejón y en la puerta. La terraza y el patio son chulos, es donde sirven el desayuno y al no ser cubierto hace frío en marzo. No es q no nos gustará pero es a mejorar

Very clean, very pretty. The staff was super nice. Every bed has a curtain, light and outlet. There is a shelf with locks to keep your stuff. The terrace is very pretty. Toilets and showers were clean.

Lokalita, cena, personál, čistota

Nice hostel with excellent rooftop, traditional decor and good breakfast. The host Ibrahim is very nice, he let me join with Iftar to get a glimpse of Ramadan tradition which was very appreciated. The surrounding area is busy but well connected and has lots markets and souks, and I found the hostel easy enough to get to following Google maps. Nice hostel for price.

The room was a bit cold as it had been raining all day, so the courtyard and rooftop were also, but not much they can do about that. Otherwise it was excellent.

Tagterrassen var klart det største plus. Beliggenheden var også tæt på centrum og alligevel roligt. Smilende personale, der gerne vil snakke. Ung backpackerstemning.

Vi troede egentligt der var godt valuta for pengene, men vi skulle betale turistskat da vi kom hvilket vi ikke oplevede andre steder i Marrakech. Morgenmaden var ikke særlig nærende. Vi kunne ikke få æg selvom det står angivet her på bookingsiden - det bested mest af kagelignende mad og et par skiver frugt. Heller ingen mælk til kaffen. Det kostede dertil 2 euro pr. håndklæde pr. nat. Lidt utryg følelse at komme dertil gennem de sidste gader. Mere slidt end forventet og flere steder trænger til renovering af håndtag mm.

Our stay was lovely, we stayed in a private room as well as in the dorm for one night. It was very much worth the money, the location was a quick 5-10 minute walk to the first few shops/ restaurants close to the centre of the city. The host Ibra was the truly nice and helpful, he showed us a few places to visit in Marrakesh, gave us a few tips and helped us with all of our questions throughout our stay. Breakfast was also really nice.

The light in one toilet sadly didn’t work. It’s also hard to find at first.

Ibrahim was such a nice host, he even came to pick us up when we arrived in the mid of the night in the streets of Medina. The location is amazing, so many interesting spots nearby, no need to take an uber at all. We also enjoyed the nice breakfast and the roof terrace being a special spot in the hostel. If we come to Marrakech again, we will book this hostel once more!

La struttura confortevole e ti fa sentire molto a tuo agio! Ambiente giovanile e alla mano. Un posto dove è importante il benestare. È abbastanza vicino al centro e per la qualità prezzo è ottimo. Ibrah il proprietario è un bravissimo ragazzo! sa darti tutte le indicazioni necessarie oltre ad essere sempre disponibile! La colazione è ottima. Per concludere il posto è accogliente pulito e il personale cordiale. È il posto adatto per un giovane viaggiatore!
