Very comfortable room. I felt cosy in the very nice ambience room and felt at home. I settled in very quickly and felt welcome when I arrived. You can use the terrace at the top which is nice. Staff are very helpful. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for my cosy stay!

The location is amazing and the view from the rooftop is very beautiful, the area is super cute and close to a waterfall. Anket is an amazing human being and he has a beautiful energy.

The room I was staying at didn't have any window towards outside and that's what I miss a lot staying at this place, and in Rishikesh the electricity is a topic that for some hours per day you don't have electricity.

Everything was perfect

I will say Samani Homestay is offering something I could not find anywhere else in Rishikesh. Of course there are many homestays in the area so you can easily find anyone for your budget. But the service, attention, and quality of the rooms you won’t find anywhere but here. After staying many places and then Samani I will not stay anywhere else now. The host is attentive and the vibe is very peaceful. I highly recommend to all travelers coming to Rishikesh.

I really recommend Samani Homestay. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully decorated with so much personality, charm, and style. The owner is exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always available, whether to answer questions or help with anything you might need. Staying here truly feels like finding a second home in India, a place where you feel comfortable, cared for, and deeply at ease.

Very good facilities, fridge and the electricity is running all the time, fast internet. Ankit, the host, heartfully runs the place and all the time available and helpful, really good communication and service. The room gave me a familiar feeling, nicely decorated and with good taste. There was hot water at the sink as well, which for me is rare in India. I liked that there are good water filters for drinking water. and the property is very safe. Really clean and very very quiet, which for me was a problem in other places. I loved that I could rest with no noise at all. I really enjoyed staying at Samani, I felt like I was in a nest. It's also not too small, not too big, very nice terrace with space for yoga and enjoying sun in the morning.

I had no window directly outside, but there was a window towards the common hall and that helped overall, it was ok also like that, maybe having no window outside made it really quiet and good to properly rest and restore.

Quiet location nearly at the top of Upper Topovan. Room tastefully decorated, modern, clean, with a comfortable bed. The host, Ankit, is extremely responsive and helpful. He gave me a ride on his Scooty to get dinner my first night, and he's full of suggestions of places to eat and visit here. You pay a slight premium compared to the big hotel stays or homestays, for the higher quality room and always-available host. After staying somewhere else for a few days, I came back here because the premium was worth it.

Not a great view from the room. My first stay, I didn't have a window at all, but second stay/room looks out onto the street.

Très bel endroit ! Plein de chambres différentes avec des avantages différents :) Vous pouvez trouver du plus abordable au plus luxueux dans des prix vraiment raisonnables. Même la plus petites des chambres reste belle et agréable ! Le lieu se trouve dans les hauteurs de Tapovan, sur le rooftop il y a une belle vue sur les collines, aussi il y a une cuisine disponible sur le toit (pas disponible pendant la mousson mais il y a plein de restaurations à même pas 10min à pied). Sur place il y a una machine à laver à disposition (en supplément), il y a possibilité d'également prendre des cours de yoga dans le même bâtiment ou bien à proximité. Au besoin l'hôte est de bon conseil ! PS: la lumière chaude est fortement appréciée !

The room is a private room in an apartment building. The atmosphere is very peaceful and respectful. Located in a very quiet area, with only a few motorcycles passing by. Tuk-tuks and cars are not allowed. It has a balcony with beautiful mountain views. The room is very clean and well decorated. The lighting and details make it very cozy. It has a small kitchen area with a sink, a fan, and the Wi-Fi works well. Upstairs, there is a very large terrace with mountain views. You can also hang clothes. There is a common area with a washing machine, a refrigerator, and a water filter. The owner is friendly and you can ask him anything you need. There are all kinds of shops nearby, including cafes, restaurants, yoga schools, fruit shops, and supermarkets. So, I highly recommend it. I've had a wonderful time there.

Everything about this place and the owner is perfect. The rooms are large, clean, and with “like at home” vibe, as Ankit wants the homestay to be. There’s a fridge and washing machine for your clothes available in the hall. Filtered water available all the time. The location can’t be better. Straight in the main road but on the top so still quiet. Ankit is a very cool young man who is beyond helpful. As a solo female traveler I felt safe thanks to him and his homestay. I loved the cozy, large room that had a nice big bathroom as well. The bed was very comfortable! The natural light that floods the room during the way, and the mountain view out of that window is uneabtable. Ankit went out of his way beyond measure to make sure that I was comfortable throughout my entire stay. Nice touches like creating a meditation corner for me in my room was so nice. The large armour was great for all my belongings. There is a washing machine on site, and my room also had an AC, which was amazing during the hot, humid nights. The location is really nice. Away from the hustle of the main road, but close enough to walk to Ganga and all of the amazing cafes and restaurants. There are also so many options for drop in yoga classes, sound healing, massages, meditation, etc., or you can simply unroll your own mat on the terrace Overall, anything that I needed Ankit was there with it. I would come back here again, and again! My stay was the best!

It was a really good place, very beautiful room, hot water and cocine. There is a fridge shared Wich is perfect for cool water. They have water supply in all floors and good thing is that shoes are not allow in common areas. It make the spaces clean

I had a great stay in Samani home stay! The location is perfect, close to coffee shops, and stores, but not on the busy main road, so it's peaceful and quiet. The building is new and feels very safe, the rooms are cozy and nice. The host was also super helpful and made everything easy. Highly recommend if you're looking for a calm and comfortable place to stay!

The thing which i liked about the property is cleanliness. And the boy, named Ankit was very good to attend the visitors. That boy was very humble and cooperative.

There were not bins in the bathroom. The curtains could be thicker for better privacy as I could see people's shadow passing in front of my window inside the building or outside. The showers can be cleaner

I had a great experience with my recent stay. The room was nice and had everything I needed. I also appreciated the flexibility in booking options, which worked well for both short and long-term stays. The host was very responsive and attentive to my needs, which made the stay even more comfortable. Would definitely book again.

Clean and spacious room, nice location in quieter part of tapovan, friendly and responsive host

The host was very polite, kind and welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy. The room was neatly decorated and absolutely loved the lights. The location is perfect, right in the middle of some of the best places of Rishikesh. The secret waterfall is right round the corner too. I would definetly recommend staying here.

Room was ok

we booked this place through booking. they did not save a room for us , instead we were sent to the floor below- belong to someone else. which we saw maybe once in 3 night stay. so no one to tend to. they didn't have change- we were supposed to receive after 3 hours. after 3 days we contacted the original place on the upper floor to bring us the change. the bathroom door is very low ( so I can still the marks on my head to remind me how I liked this place...). and just to make sure- this is not a homestay- a family liver in the first floor. no interaction with them- it's more a guest house/hotel

The rooms were big and clean, and beautifully decorated. Located in a quite area and not too far from the river, it is at a walkable distance.

The staff behaviour was discriminating and off. We booked 3 rooms for 1 ni and were travelling with family. He asked us to pay a 'Deposit' amount in case our 'Indian' family damages something. We obliged to pay him an extra deposit and which got refunded when we left. The Problem was next day I asked other people (mostly foreigners who were staying there and some were from the yoga school below) staying there if they had paid him a deposit, they clearly answered 'No'. So I understood since we were looking like an Indian family, he asked us to pay the deposit, and I didn't liked the feeling of this discriminatory behaviour that he judged us from the looks (that Indians are messy and forigners are clean). It is fine to pay deposit if everything was communicated clearly before in advanced when we booked the accomodation. But he didn't, rather we were told on the time of check in that, we have to pay a deposit, so we didn't had any other choice and rather oblige, and feel a bit humiliated for the discrimination. After this he asked more from us, the person wanted me to cancel the booking on the booking.com and pay him in cash so that he saves comission for the booking.com. It was a problem to do that for us because we needed proper documentaion of our bookings and travels and this person insisted alot and did't understood our concern. This whole argument and talk lasted more than 30 minutes and it ruined my mood and motivation to visit the city. I reminded him that we are only staying there for one night and we don't have much time to enjoy, he kept insisting to cancel the booking officially online. I have stayed in multiple countries with different type of accomodations ranging from rooms to airbnbs, feeling discriminated in home country feels hard. One request to the owner, please communicate everything in advance when the bookings are made.

The location is up on the hill which is nice and quiet compared with down the bottom in Tapovan. The room was very comfortable for the night

The room is really big and nice decorated with cosy lights. It's great to have an own kitchen. The shower was comfortable warm. The best was the very helpful owner, he helped us with renting a scooter, recommended us lovely places and great events!

You need some time to get up the hill to this accommodation, but that doesn't have to be a disadvantage, as it is a bit more quite than staying next to the main road and you have nevertheless lots of restaurants, massages and events in this area.

I loved the decoration, felt like home! And the host is so helpful with good advice. It’s a very good place to stay long terms if you are looking for that!

Cold season everywhere in India has cold buildings/rooms. This is standard everywhere, but something to note.

Everything was great. Spacious and quiet room, nice decor (especially dim lighting), kitchen facilities, reliable hot water and strong wifi. Ankit is a lovely host caring about guests' comfort, and always open to feedback.

I had a short stay in Upper Tapovan at Samani Homestay. The location is quiet and away from the noise, and yet still accessible to main road and river (good for fitness the walk up from main road). The room I had was the corner top floor, with sunny aspect and was spacious and clean. (Note some of the rooms have windows to the inside only). Ankit was a delightful host. He really is going out of his way to make your stay comfortable! Do not hesitate in asking for what you need as he will do his best to accommodate. He is also making improvements all the time. This is a great option if you want to economise yet have a really friendly experience. I have rated homestay based on the improvements that are imminently being made (see next point)

Ankit is clearly working to improve his homestay. At the time of my stay it was a little too cold for me. A heater or hot water bottle are needed in the colder months - Ankit did kindly provide me the latter when I mentioned the cold. He is also planning to add some small carpets on the tile floor which will greatly improve the comfort.

It was wonderful experience..Rooms are with so much esthetic vibes and clean . Most important thing host is very good for any kind of help with guest . I will highly recommend this place to people please once visit there you will have wonderful experience☺️

The Homestay is really nice. It is located in a quiet area, which is great and in December, I really appreciated that it was warmer than in most other accommodations. It was also the first place in India that had an ambient light for the evenings. There is a nice rooftop where you can practice yoga or just enjoy the sun.

If there is anything that you are not happy about, talk to the owner, he will fix it for you.

I can't recommend Samani homestay enough. The rooms are large, cosy, and with a private kitchen space which turns out to be such a luxury. The location is ideal, in a peaceful part of Tapovan close to the jungle, it felt like being in a village and not busy Rishikesh. Another nice element is the rooftop, allowing you to enjoy the view over the hills and practice yoga, or dance, considering the owner is also a Chhau dancer eager to make you discover this classical indian dance form. I felt really comfortable while staying here. It was nice to be close to nature and still have easy access to everything. The view from the rooftop is really beautiful and peaceful. The room was very cozy and clean, and they responded quickly when I asked for anything. I was satisfied with everything. If you are planning to stay in Upper Tapovan, I highly recommend this place.

Very nice rooms here at Samani Homestay, the host is also very hospitable, generous with his time and only too happy to help his guests I stayed for 1 month, so he gave me a very good deal and it’s the perfect place for long stay guests also. I had private bathroom, hot water, good pressure and kitchen also, Comfy bed, big spacious room, everything you need to make it a home away from home!!! Highly recommend! Yoga hall and terrace to relax and hang out with Mountain View’s and most importantly for Tapovan area, peaceful and quiet at night

The owner is really nice guy and helped me with everything with trips in the area and all. His place is a new place and is a quite place in Rishikesh and that’s rare. Also, the shower is the best with hot water I ever encountered in India. I really recommend.

The bedroom is really good and it fits easily for two people. Also, there is a great view in the rooftop and you can do yoga practise at day time. Finally, the host is helping with everything you need.

The location is great as it is a little away from the busy Upper Tapovan road and very close to the waterfall. But at the same time it's only 10-15 minute walk down to Lower Tapovan. The room is newly painted and the building itself was only just finished so everything is still new. There is a big terrace on the roof to watch the sunrise from and a nice yoga shala available to be used. The guy that runs the place is very friendly and helped us with any issues we were facing. Plenty of restaurants around the area, don't forget Tulsi and the pumpkin soup! Great place to stay!

It is a bit of a walk down to Ganga but it's not an issue if you like walking.

Ankit was extremely helpful. He was there to attend us and assisted us with our needs during our stay. Recommended for sure. Its a new property and it's extremely clean. Nice experience
