Near the beach.

It wasn’t spacious. The furniture and interior were old. The road up to the pension wasn’t paved.

La pension est un lieu charmant à 5' de la plage. Les propriétaires sont serviables et toujours là.

La salle de bain est peu commode pour 4 adultes et il manque un racloir pour sécher le sol après la douche.

Lovely location!

We booked the studio (101호). The space was lovely, more than enough for two people. A third person could have been accommodated on the foldable mattress easily! Kitchen is functional, with a fridge and a freezer compartment, and everything needed to cook basic meals (only things missing were cutlery and chopsticks. Maybe we didn’t find them?). The bed area is elevated so it feels like a little room in the main space. The bathroom is big and towels and shampoo/bodywash are provided. It was really near the sea, their private beach (shared with other pensions around Eungabi) is pretty, clean, and not crowded at all. The view was beautiful and it is far enough from the road to enjoy fully. You can enjoy a barbecue area right next to the rooms if you are into outdoor dinner! The cats on the property are a bonus for us, as they made our departure quite cute and enjoyable despite the bad weather! 😁

Privacy, quiet at night, Sea Tea Bus stop right across the street, beaches very close by. Bed was comfortable and clean. Love my stay.

Nothing in particular. It's just that if you have a large luggage, the initial steps (5 meters) to the units can be a bit difficult. Nevertheless, Mr JJ was very kind to help me.

We appreciate highly the comfort and peace during the stay at EUNGABI PENSION ROOM NO. 101 from June 5 to June 13,2026.The hospitality was associated with warmth and kindness by the couple (who took our care) was exceptionally good. We highly recommend visitors to stay at this place very close to beach and lake, location is wonderful and ambience delights.

Authentic Korean feel. Superbly clean. Staff were very helpful. Nice quiet spot. There is a great seafood restaurant about half a kilometer away, near the burger bar.

Korean map apps do not appear to have it listed so it was not easy to find but taxi found it from the directions on the Booking.com listing.

Very helpfull staff and comfortable sleep

It was so cozy and the porch was great for hanging out with friends. It was enough room for 7 guys. The staff was absolutely phenomenal, they treated us so well and were incredibly welcoming.

Beautiful space, clean, well maintained, excellent location

Languages barriers are difficult, so clear check-in instructions are always helpful. But the hosts went out of their way to meet us and hand over the keys even with our late-night check-in, so it was still great!

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is fantastic—just a two-minute walk to the beach—and visiting in November meant the area was peaceful and quiet. The room itself was spacious, very comfortable, and very clean. While having a car is helpful for getting around the area with ease, there are convenience stores and cafés within a short distance. Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily stay again.

La maison type San Francisco est trop jolie quand on arrive de nuit avec toutes les guirlandes. Une arrivée autonome est possible mais les gérants ont attendus qu'on soit là. Gel douche, shampoing, dentifrice fournis, trop bien. Belle taille du logement et grand parking !

Nous étions en voiture, indispensable pour l'emplacement.

There was no where to wash clothes and without a car you are quite isolated from the town

We only stayed here for one night as a stopover. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we couldn’t do much. The pension is close to the beach, and there are two convenience stores about 500 meters away. The room was nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We had a pleasant stay here!

De woeste zee

Als iemand die met het ov reist was dit geen goede plek. Er was niets in de buurt. Voor restaurants of winkel was t n paar km lopen. Verder was er niets te doen. Op de kaart leek het alsof je midden in de natuur zat maar overa bebouwing de weg nabij eas best druk. Dit in combinatie met aanhoudende regen maakte dat ik eerder ben vertrokken.

Super kind people in a very cute place

The accommodation was very comfortable. It was also within walking distance of the beach, and it was within driving distance of many parks, restaurants, and cafes.

The walls were thin, so we could hear the neighbors talking loudly and banging around until past 2am. Additionally, the beds were not comfortable, so we had a hard time sleeping.

Good location, and the lady was very helpful. She gave us everything we needed. The place is equipped we were able to cook and make our own coffee :)

해변에서 매우 가깝습니다. 근처에 편의점도 가깝습니다. 펜션 주인 내외분이 모두 친절하십니다.

해변까지 걷기는 좋았고, 형태, 크기는 가족이 숙박하기에 무난했습니다. 호스트님 친절하시고 수건, 에어컨 사용하기에 괜찮았어요

5인가족으로 숙박하는곳 찾으며 욕실 두개라 하여 좋았는데 펜션을 가보니 하나는 화장실 용도로만 사용하게 되어 있고, 세면기가 없어 손을 씻기에도 불편하여 거의 사용 안했어요. ㅠ. 큰 욕실은 샤워, 화장실로 무난했지만 바닥타일부터 전체적으로 어둡고 환기도 잘 되지 않아 상쾌한 느낌이 들지 않았네요. 에어컨 없는방에 준비되어 있던 써큘레이터는 소리가 너무 요란하여 켰다가 놀라 바로 끄고 사용 포기 했어요. ㅠ

La proximité de la plage. La chambre est plutôt spacieuse. Les hôtes parlent bien anglais et il faut appeler un numéro lors de l'arrivée pour les contacter.

Les fenêtres étaient ouvertes et il y avait une menthe religieuse et un frelon dans la chambre que nous avons du chasser. La literie n'est pas très confortable, ce sont des matelas à ressort, et ne correspond pas aux photos. (sur les photos elle a l'air plus confortable)

펜션들이 몰려있어서 찾는데 살짝 헤맸어요. 아무래도 펜션들이 몰려있으니 시끄러운 건 어쩔 수 없어요. 넷플릭스 시청은 가능하나 로그인을 직접 해야 해서 로그아웃을 하고 가지 않으면 다른 사람들이 제 계정으로 봐요..ㅎㅎ...

A quelques pas de la plage. Appartement superbe ! Très confortable ! Le personnel très accueillant. La plage est magnifique. Des supérettes à proximité et des restos aussi. Tout ce fait à pied.

The place was amazing. The room, especially the bathroom, was bigger than expected. Everything was clean. The hosts were super friendly and generous. They were very helpful to tell us about the area and also lend us beach supplies when we were going to the beach. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there, and I am looking forward to going back for another vacation. Thank you to the lovely hosts for ensuring we have a good and comfortable stay. (The room looked exactly like it does in the booking photos)

The bed was missing bed linen. There were no towels. Untidy outside. Old-fashioned. Kitchen lacked essential kitchen utensils.

Quiet, comfortable, close to beautiful beach, friendly owners, surrounded by gardens and nature

This place is a dream — just a 5-minute walk from one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches I’ve visited in Korea. The pension is stunning; in June, the garden is full of blooming roses. The staff were incredibly kind and always happy to help. The room was spacious and cozy. 🌹

Just one small detail: the fridge didn’t smell great — probably because the previous guest left kimchi inside. Maybe a more thorough cleaning next time :)

The incredible nice owners who helped with everything they could. The pension itself is very pretty and cozy- we loved the morning sun on the balcony. The near distance to the beach. Café and convenience stores are in walkable reach.

About the property itself there is nothing to not like. But if you’re traveling by public transport the bus timetable wasn’t always accurate.

The location is exceptionally good if your purpose is to see Korea’s cleanest, beautiful beach~ A barbecue set was also good, the owner provided us kimchi, onions for free of charge too 😍

Nothing to complain

I travelled to Gangneung with my family and chose to stay at this place. Staff was very friendly and answered all our requests, room was clean and cozy, there is barbecue zone where we cooked meat. Seaside is just 5min walk. Will choose to stay there again next year.

I loved the cosy and comfortable atmosphere of this pension stay. The owners were very kind and helpful. Once I locked myself out of my room and they helped me right away. I would love to go back and stay there for a longer duration.

It was really great location wise and staff was really really nice. The rooms are clean and well equipped with nice view also, even though we booked the first floor. The beach is like 5 mins walk and you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from there. And usually not many people so almost felt like a private beach to us! Highly recommend it ! 너무 좋았어요!

It's located in a very serene location, close to the beach. The room is bigger than what I thought and it's super easy to find the room even without internet.

There's only Seatea Bus 1 passes by and the hour is very limited. Please consider using a taxi to go to Eungabi.

The apartment was very comfortable and the owners were incredibly friendly. We were able to have our cat with us as well (for a fee). WiFi connection was excellent. The place is within driving distance of Gangneung.

The host is super nice and gave us good recommendations about the area. The place is perfect, felt just like home. Thank you Eungabi Pension!

We got definitely what we saw on the photos, the description and even more! The apartment was amazingly big, comfortable, totally cozy and lovely decorated as well as absolutely clean and everything seemed to be new. The kitchen offered everything we could have wished for so we could easily cook our meals for dinner at home. The hosts were super friendly and we where happy they proactively liked to help us with spots to visit, transportation options etc. The apartment was located just in front of the beach and the bus stop to go to other beaches or the city center. We absolutely loved the place and Gangneung and will definitely come back! ♡

Everything was perfect!

My friends and I enjoyed staying at Eungabi Pension for the weekend! Everything was very comfortable and clean. The check-in process was super smooth and the host was very sweet! Although we didn't end up leaving our bags after check in, she allowed us to leave our bags at the pension for as long as we wanted! They also provided us with a map of the city and gave us quick tips and recommendations, which I found very helpful!

The Pension was slightly far from the main city and downtown but close to one of the beaches, which was exactly what we were looking for. However, we did take a lot of taxis.

The owners were so nice and helpful. The accommodations were beautiful and clean. The room was nice and warm. They even added a heated blanket to the bed that was warmed and waiting for us at our arrival. There were also a great amount of towels. The bathroom was extremely spacious. The area was also the most perfect location. The owners also gave us brochures to help us navigate the area and find things to do. Gangreung is a beautiful place all year round. This pension and its owner made our visit evem more beautiful. Thank you so much 💓

A nice guesthouse not far from the sea. We were I think the only guests as it was the offseason. The room was interesting, as it was more "Korean style" than the ones we stayed in earlier, with a futon bed, a low table with no chairs. It was an interesting diversion from the regular guesthouse fare. The room was a bit cold at the start but we turned on the mattress heating and it was more than enough. The owners met us when we arrived, don't speak too much English but are very nice people. When we had a request, they were very quick to help. Theere was a parking lot next to the guesthouse.

The room looked like it was cleaned some time ago, probably due to the offseason.

Big smile, big heart, and helped us a ton during our short stay. Nothing less than exceptional. Moreover, the place was very clean and extra cozy.

It says there’s no bed so I assumed we would sleep on the floor but it did have a mattress. It’s also located right nearby a beach which was a plus. Absolutely gorgeous views if you go there at the right time. The staff never bothered us.

The price for the barbecue. 30k for just a place where you can cook your own meat and eat? That’s a bit over the top. The place doesn’t look like the photos. Certainly less attractive but nothing drastic. The bathroom had a smell of mold which made the whole experience feel like you’re spending your time in a retirement home or something. They did not provide a single-use toothbrush like other airbnb places do. No female hygiene products either, but to be fair they made it clear from the get go. Good place if you want to save up some money and treat this place as a sleeping space between exploring the city and beaches. Not the best place if you want some aesthetic experience.

The property was clean, a short walk to the beach and very close to several convenience stores. The property was also very beautifully decorated outside with flowers and fairy lights. It was clear that the owners took pride in the property and they themselves were very friendly — they offered us free drinks and food and were generally very kind when giving advice regarding taxis and getting to the beach.
