Malipaya Villas

Beach front.

The dome has a strong plastic smell probably because the material of the dome under the sun. And the toilet is separated from the dome, a bit inconvenient.

The hotel complex was absolutely gorgeous - clean and specious. It is exactly as shown in the photos. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday and at the same time is very close to Luna.

The pool, there wasn’t many people and the fact that is so close to the water that you can enjoy the view while you are having your coffee

Great quiet Location, the tent is confortable, and beautifully located. The pool area and beach access are very open and spacious and clean A short bike ride in to town.

Amazing sea view, close to the center via motorcycle

Excellent pool and views and grassy verge for each dome. Layout to each done good and priavte and spacious deck . Awesome separate bathroom Great views Great beach Friendly staff I really liked

Roosters nextdoor property was annoying to sleep. Adjusting the fan or aircon to the right seeting so less noisy was important I found abut right on my 3rd night.

The dome type - family friendly accommodation was something new and interesting. You can open up the curtain to appreciate the view.

There was a faucet in prior to entering our unit to wash off sand. It would have been better if it where a shower type so that we cam wash of sand from our head and body prior to enterting the unit.

This is a quiet and nice place for families to stay, within a reasonable distance from Surigao's main Tourism Road, where the heart and life of the town can be felt.

No complimentary breakfast included. It would be better if they offered a complimentary breakfast.

The room is big, clean, very nice and comfortable except that the bathroom is outside the room. We had beachfront and it was simply beautiful . We had good supplies of drinks!!! Ryan and his staffs were very very accommodating! They provided us with what we requested. They even lent us the van with the very nice driver to downtown as complimentary. They provided us a long table as we came with 15 pax in front of the beach with BBq, cooler with ice plus plates/cutleries and cozy lights. We will be back and thank you very much Ryan and staffs ! You made us all feel at home!!!

No food outlet (but the resort staffs were very very accommodating and helpful). Also the bathroom was outside the room ): but it was spacious and good shower!!

The location was great and the stuff always available for questions and to accommodate requests. The stuff got us a scooter the first day, we kept it and returned it exactly in the hotel, so very convenient

The bathroom is great, very nice but there is not much air circulation

Staff friendly and helpful. Pool was nice. Room was comfortable. Appreciated the drinking water, microwave, coffee.

Would love to have had paddle boards or kayaks to use. A bit out of town but works still stay there again

The place is in the quiet part and has its own beach and pool. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. It's also not too far from town and on the main road so public transpo is not a problem. Room is comfortable and bathroom is spacious. The place is super spread out as well so you feel like you have the whole place to yourself and I barely noticed the other guests.

There is no breakfast or any restaurants/bar in the premise or within a short walk. There is a ref and a microwave in the room so you can buy food/drinks in town and keep it for breakfast, snacks or drinks after. Going to town is super easy too and is just 20-50 Pesos per pax depending on time of day.

The dome was really spacious for us,3 adults. I like how serene the outdoor pool/beach area is. The staff were really accommodating and helpful. Over all the place is neat and tidy.

Not that we didn't like, but it is far from the down town of general luna where all the restaurants/cafes are located so it takes time to go to/from Malipaya to there. At night time, it was hard to access transportation to get to GL.

The place is amazing—very relaxing and peaceful. My family loved the pool and the beachfront. We enjoyed swimming both in the beach and the pool. I can definitely say we’ll be coming back again!" This place is a wonderful spot for a getaway. I highly recommend it to my family and friends. Lorna.

Beachfront and cool concept. Pool onsite.

Location is a bit far from the center. Transport is inconvenient at night time.

Location: If you have a rented bike, then the location is 101% perfect because it's not too far from Gen Luna but far enough from the noise of bars and parties. Villa: It's perfect for 4-pax groups/family. Everything we need is available (Fridge, microwave, safe, hair blower, beach towels, a lot of cloth hangers, etc) Pool: Our family enjoyed the pool while other groups are using it too yet it has more than enough space for everyone to swim around. It looks small in the picture but not really in person. Check-in/check-out: The process is smooth and they also have a golf cart to help you carry your luggages to/from your villa.

The villa we got is older so the transparent part of the tarp is kinda not that clear anymore to see the outside. This part of the beach is not that great. There are lots of seaweeds but it's not a deal breaker because the accommodation is still really great.

We had a brilliant 5 night stay here with our 2 children they loved the pool and the open space to run around on the beach area ! Such a peaceful place so chilled, just outside the maid street so we rented a a moped to get in and out which was perfect. The owners are very nice and chilled out they offer paddle boarding and peddlos for free plus plenty of games to use. They went out there way to re arrange things so we could have a late check out. Rooms are spotless and beautiful everything you need and having a separate bathroom is a positive for us . We loved the owners dogs to very gentle and friendly always happy to see people. We loved our mate coco! I don’t usually write reviews but this place we really had a fantastic 5 days in paradise!

Property is near to the town center where shops and restaurants are found.

No restaurant

The staff

The dome has a strong smell inside.

Location is great. It was quiet and not too far from GL. The beach front is peaceful and calm, I loved to wake up to our view and quiet during our 6-night stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful! Also loved how spacious the bathroom was even though it has a separate entrance from the room, which may not even be a bother for most people. Best if you get a motorbike or a car rental to get around as there are only a few trikes that pass by. You may also ask their front desk / receptionist Junelyn for assistance.

Though the villas / domes are spacious and beautiful it may give off a plastic smell in the room due to the sun hitting the tents. The staff are very friendly and responsive, I'm sure they'll find a way to help your stay become more comfortable.

We love this place. They only have 5 villas for such a large area so it’s peaceful and not crowded. Away from the madding crowd but not too far. For us the location is perfect. The staff are very friendly. We’ll come back x

The place was awesome. 10 out of 10

Nothing

The villas are super nice, spacious, and clean. Very comfy beds with soft and smooth sheets and pilllows. We love the bathroom that is also quite big with very nice interior. The owner and staff are very nice and accommodating too. They have their own van available for airport shuttle.

It would be nice if they can offer meals also and provide a water dispenser and mirror in the villas.

As a family of travelers, we have stayed at countless hotels, resorts, and Airbnbs. We were very pleased with our stay at Malipaya Villas and I can honestly say that Malipaya is now one of our most favorite stays by far. Our host Ryan was courteous, responsive, and accommodating. The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The beach was just ok, but it wasn’t an issue as we had planned a tri-island trip ahead to visit the nicer beaches in Siargao. The pool was nice and well maintained. The property was very much like your own little paradise with all the beautiful plants surrounding the villas. The facility is also eco-conscious which we appreciate very much. Malipaya is bit far from the General Luna city center which we prefer because we like our peace and quiet. Lastly, they offer an airport transfer service at a reasonable price. We loved Malipaya Villas!

Nothing. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Siargao.

The amenities and the staffs were great, the villa itself was fantastic. The bedroom was in pristine condition, the ref and microwave worked well. Junelyn was fantastic! The villa met our expectations and we loved the spacious bathroom. Most important of all, it’s gated and highly safe. We would definitely stay again and recommend Malipaya Villas to our friends and relatives. Thumbs up!

Zero, none.

Everything was great. Just like in the pictures and even better. The kids so much loved the place that we had difficulty to get them out - there was swimming pool, beach, badminton, paddle board, board games for the evenings and cocos from the palms around! Just great. Very relaxing. And the owner Ryan was super helpful. Best place we stayed in Philippines. Hope to return one day.

Everything was great. Just note that the place is a bit outside the touristic center and the restaurants. It makes it calm and relaxing but you would need to get a lift to the city or walk 20-30 min.

I recently stayed at this modern property, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Its location near the tourism road offers easy access to a variety of dining options, yet the area remains peaceful and serene, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, making me feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for convenience without sacrificing tranquility.

After experiencing other hotels and staying at other places, I can't think of any that I didn't like at this place.

Everything was amazing! The room was beautiful, very clean, the staff and management were so nice and lovely. Perfect beachfront location. Highly recommended!😍

Everybody in Malipaya villa made sure that we had an excellent customer service experience, especially Jodilyn and Brian , they are very helpful and professional in dealing with us. Thank you very much to Malipaya Villas😍

Clean and the staff are very accommodating!

We stayed here initially for three nights, but extended for two more on the first day. The hotel recently opened, so don’t by hesitant for a lack of reviews, the place is incredible. Its located just outside general luna, and we recommend to rent a bike through the hotel if you do wish to go there. We did and the staff arranged everything, from bike to all sorts of other activities, as well as the airport transfer. The rooms are standalone , basically a dome shaped tent with fantastic airconditioning and each dome has a great open view to the ocean, as well as its own patio to relax and its own bathroom. And on top of this all: a private and very secluded beach! Even at the end, when we did not have enough cash tot the airport shuttle, the hotel owner helped us. Can’t thank you enough! Overall one of the best places we ever stayed at!

Truly can’t think of anything.

The concept is really nice. Modernity and luxury in a tent. It is very nicely designed and the beds are very comfortable. The shower area is amazing. Excellent wifi (in an area which is supposed to have bad connection), very calm because just outside from general luna ( only a few minutes by scooter) Clean beach and nice pool. The staff is professional and very friendly and are here to help you in your demands. Free activities, like badminton, paddle board, paddle boat, spike ball and board games. Very clean living areas and outside areas I highly recommend

Food/drinks option would be nice, (it will probably come in a close future) but there is delivery option if needed meanwhile

The service is really good and the facilities are well thought of even if they are just on soft opening. We are traveling with a toddler so they made it so easy for us including providing transportation. The queen beds are just perfect and the room has everything we need (or we could just request for it if we need anything and they will accomodate). We were supposed to stay in a different resort on our 5th night in Siargao but we came back here because we were just too spoiled (this is after comparing the service of the other resort ). There is no food service at the resort but they provide free transport to GL, you just need to tell them in advance.
