Country Glamping

Amazing little find. We have family in the area and wanted to stay over before a long drive home. This was just perfect. Glamping is something we've always wanted to try and I have to say we will be coming back here again. Everything was clean, access was easy. We included breakfast and the onsite café (The 68 Cafe) was really good as well. Top marks all round.

Excellent location, close to both Kynren and town centre. Comfortable pod with everything one could want or expect - including bed linen, tea, coffee, milk, washing up liquid, shampoo and shower gel. The adjacent cafe served food of really great quality, for a very reasonable cost - added bonus was 10% saving for pod occupants (it should be advertised in the pod, though!). Also, the staff were friendly and most responsive to our requirements.

Advertise the 10% discount on cafe food within the pod!

The cabin at Country Glamping was the perfect spot for our stopover on the way to Scotland. Clean, very comfortable, a lovely scenic setting, not to mention a fantastic breakfast! Will definitely come and stay again. Highly recommend The Bishop's Lodge nearby (about a 10 minute drive) great food and service, good value too.

Not a complaint, only a comment...it would have been nice to have an area when dogs could run freely.

The pre check in form was difficult to access and it would have been better if it was sent the day before as we were driving and had no wifi or reliable phone signal.

Lack of storage - we had luggage for 2 weeks in uk and nowhere to put it We had a query regarding payment for breakfast on our last day and the company did not respond to my message via Booking. Make sure you get an email confirming your breakfast entitlement!

Easy check in and check out, clean, comfortable, lovely views. Quite close to Kynren and Raby Castle.

Empty shower gel, hand soap and shampoo containers meant we had to get these thinga from the supermarket.

Access codes and clear instructions provided, so late arrival was not an issue. Site is very quiet despite being close to an A road. Stay was very comfortable and warm. Plenty of room. We only stayed one night after a whole day at Kynren so didn't make use of the facilities available, but the brochure looked promising. Also liked that even though it was a weekend in the summer holidays there was no minimum booking. One night was permitted.

On an evening the pod would get very very hot so had to sleep with the windows open, not a massive deal but then flys and spiders would come in

Lovely place - pod had everything you would need and was well laid out. We arrived late at night so didn't see the lovely view and the horses until the morning so it was a lovely surprise. We had a really nice breakfast at the Cafe on site.

Had a bit if a hiccup with the access code but it was easily sorted with a phone call.

Spotlessly clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Really impressed with our overnight visit and would have liked to have stayed a bit longer. On site cafe is fabulous with friendly, hard-working staff. Would happily stay here again.

Lovely location and views. Very easy to find and access on your own. Love the decor in the pod and bed was very comfortable. Cafe 68 was very close by and the food was great. Will definately stay again if we're up in the area.

As we have had a lot of extreme heat it would be nice to have Fans to cope with the heat , but that is not the fault of anyone,

3rd visit to Country Glamping, we were there this time at the time of the eclipse, obviously nothing like the 1999 one but perfect place for viewing it. As always lovely and quiet, clean and wonderful views across towards weardale. Each glamping pod has it's own dedicated wifi router with really good strong free Internet connection. All pods are fully equipped for cooking your own meals, and the luxury pods include a dishwasher. As usual breakfast in the 68 Café attached to the site was a great start to the following morning 🌄. Another point is that should you expect to arrive early the Café does really nice and good value meals. Be sure to arrive early enough as they close around 16.30.

Second visit lovely place to go for wonderful views and peace

Having stayed previously, we decided to have a quiet night away again, only issue this time was a young family with 2 sons, mum had obviously had enough of them and told dad to take them outside and wear them out, just a shame he decided it would be managed by playing football as far away from their own pod, and play noisily outside our pod, however as unhappy stare from our porch seemed to put a stop to it 😉

2 TVs in the pod but no working remote control. Salt and pepper not filled.

The glamping pods are beautifully presented . Clean and spacious with everything you need for a short stay.

The only thing we found was the sofa bed was a little uncomfortable for my daughter. Maybe her personal taste but a topper would have been great to soften it.

We loved everything - the location is quiet, the pods are beautiful and the facilities are lovely! We especially liked that it has a separate bedroom so one person could stay up without disturbing the other! Having a bathroom as part of the pod is so very nice - not having to go across to a toilet and shower block!

We liked the view of the countryside and how easy it was to drive to local attractions and walks. We also liked how modern the pod was and the food at the cafe. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We were disappointed that the yoga/exercise tent had been removed, and the proximity of the main road to the pod.

Location is great out the way but also close to the essential that you’ll need. The view from the pod was absolutely stunning!

Wonderfully clean and inviting. Four of us stayed and plenty of room.

Pod itself was well equipped, reasonably clean.

Not as advertised, there were no “domes”, was advertised as two domes that have yoga and kids area. There was an empty muddy area where they once stood. No communication that they were no longer there, the welcome pack still advertised them. On main roads, so didn’t feel safe to walk with kids anywhere. Pod itself just looked onto other pods. No contact from the owners despite calling several times and messaging. The sofa bed, bedding left under the bed and needed to be made up, did not look the cleanest sofa bed. No comment for the breakfast option as we packed up the same night and left, overall very disappointing. Confused about the reviews, seems to be a very different experience!

It was a lovely little space especially for one person and had everything I needed-great wifi, large sofa, good telly reception and an excellent shower. Also a great view to wake up to. Quiet.

We booked on the basis that there would be a chill out zone and yoga/workout pod. Neither of these were available when we arrived. They were being took down which was such a disappointment. We feel like we should of been told this when we booked.

Convenient location and secure site. Extremely well equipped for such a compact space. Super comfy bed. Very clean. Lovely bathroom. Second time we’ve stayed with our 2 small dogs, once in November and in February, when it was cold outside but it was so cosy and warm. We will definitely stay again.

Wir empfehlen, im Pod noch eine Garderobe zu integrieren, den Fernseher anders zu platzieren und zusätzlich zu den Online-Infos per QR-Code auch eine gedruckte Informationsmappe anzubieten. Wir persönlich fühlten uns durch die flächendeckende Videoüberwachung im Außenbereich in unserer Privatsphäre eingeschränkt.

The views The onsite cafe

The glamping pod ended up being better than expected. It was very cozy and comfortable, with it being very clean and warm. The shower was also very powerful and warm. The location was perfect for where we needed to be the following day. The Wi-Fi was of a strong signal and very easy to access. Car Parking was nearby and safe, with having a barrier to stop anyone coming in. With being due to move to the area very soon, i will be recommending all family or friends to stay here in the future.

Very comfortable, good sized glamping pod. Great to have a cafe so close. Well looked after communal areas. Bed in main bedroom was so comfortable. Well equipped.

Pull out sofa bed was uncomfortable. Couldn't take our dog into the cafe so we had to have takeaway breakfast - food was great though.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans deux pods, confortables et bien au chaud. Les propriétaires ont gentiment ouvert le café plus tôt pour le petit déjeuner, merci beaucoup. Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner anglais, délicieux!
