Tastefully decorated, very comfy bed. Breakfast was a lovely addition. Excellent directions and easy check-in.

Everything was the very best quality and had everything we needed as well as a very pleasant view overlooking the town and out to the lighthouse. Nice to be able to park the car right next to the front door and great to see the huge array of solar panels which means out visiting footprint was less The owner was very kind and very responsive. We will try and stay here next time we are in the area … which is very pretty and worthy of future visits warranting longer time.

The breakfast being a combination of cereal yogurt fruit milk toast and spreads was an unbelievable bonus, there was also option of coffees teas hot chocolate, much appreciated thank you Joss and Glen

I especially liked the cleanliness of the suite. It was very complete, had nice artwork, and the view towards the lighthouse was lovely. Would stay again.

We had a great stay here. The room was huge, smelled new, and anything you could want was provided. It was modern, quiet, and comfortable. It was a great base from which to explore the Catlins area.

Appartement dans une nouvelle maison, bien décoré, très propre, vue dégagée sur la campagne. Plein de petites attentions des propriétaires (céréales, beurre, confiture etc).

Il manque un lave linge pour que l’équipement soit parfait. La situation géographique n’est pas très favorable, loin du centre ville, impossible si pas de voiture

This was a beautiful, comfortable, super-clean place on a hill outside town, with a great view and plenty of room. It was nicely decorated and of high quality. Check in was convenient and we met the hosts while we checked out -- a very nice, friendly couple. We very highly recommend this place!

Very well appointed, quiet, comfortable, cozy (under floor heating). Modern and pretty much everything has been thought through well. I've stayed in many 4 star hotels and B&B's in NZ and around the world. I can't recall a better experience!

Minor thing really - only coffee option was decaf (although heaps of other options - tea, green tea, chocolate)

I really enjoyed how clean and modern it is - very relaxing.

Whole stay was perfect. Joss and her husband went out of their way to ensure they were home to greet us. The room was perfect, so cosy and warm and the breakfast was lovely - didn’t have to think about a thing. After a day spent in the rain and driving up from Milford Sound, this stay was exactly what we needed.

Staying at this property was real treat. So completely well equipped right down to new toothbrushes should you have forgotten yours and food supplied was just great. The view from the private deck looking out over Balclutha was a bonus off street parking made being there easy and convenient. All the fittings and fixtures top of the line would highly recommend staying during your travels of the south island. Thanks for having us . Lou and Howard

Of all the places we have stayed in NZ this has to be the best place we have stayed. Immaculately presented and a credit to the owners. Highly recommended

What a fantastic wee place, it was clean, cozy and had a beautiful wee breakfast set up. Bed was super comfy and the unit was private. Loved everything about it.

all the little things like breakfast items available for us, the Moccona coffee, Sky, Netflix and close to shops.

Nice little apartment which was well set-up, including Netflix. A good selection of good quality material offered for breakfast.

Would have been nice to have been closer to the centre of town.

My stay was exceptional, I was there overnight for my daughters graduation, so needed somewhere local to stay. It exceeded my expectations, it was very tidy, clean and the attention to detail was much appreciated.

It was perfect.

The view was stunning. The apartment was very comfortable, in a quiet but convenient area, very private. Just ideal.

What a beautiful and comfortable place to stay! Piwakawaka Suite was to find and was only a few minutes drive into town so the location was perfect. My husband got the pleasure of meeting the owner, and she was so friendly and lovely. The room was warm, the bathroom large and it was all very modern and well equipped. There was so much choice for breakfast - cereal, toast and spreads, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We loved our stay there and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Immaculate property, very quiet

Suite is outfitted to a high standard. It has a hilltop location so views from the balcony or via the suite's wall of windows afforded wonderful views of the valley all day. Enjoyed dinner on the balcony, also watched the sunrise from bed. Superb.

Comfortable, quality all around, didn't want for anything, nice breakfast, quiet and the hosts have this unit right. A good example for other hosts to follow.

We weren't expecting an Air BnB, so were a little disappointed when we drove to the spot. This quickly changed when the host met us and we realised what a superb place it was. Perfect for exploring. Quiet and I lay in bed and watched the Sunrise. The breakfast was great and plenty of it. The only possible suggestion I could make would be an Esspresso machine would be good.

Everything was provided for our comfort! Breakfast was just what I like. It was quiet & peaceful, & we totally loved our stay. Will go back again. ,

The suite is situated in a new residential area, 5 min drive from the city centre. The flat is quite big for two person stay and the bed is extremely comfy. The host has also provided breakfast and basic utilities for our stay. I would definitely come again.

Not much dislike. The location is considered acceptable. But the restaurants nearby closes at around 6-7pm. so better get meals before the time.

An amazing oasis to relax in after one of the more heart stopping All Blacks games we have been to!! The room was warm when we arrived and we quickly made ourselves at home to watch the soccer on the large TV! Overall a great stay, thoroughly recommended.

Would have been nice if there was a stove top for cooking during longer stays

My daughter stayed here for 2 nights for her Nursing placement and could not believe how nice the suite was! She felt like she was really living in the lap of luxury. I wish it was available the next two weeks for her. Her favorite chocolates in the fridge really topped it all off. Very highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😃

There were so many special touches to make the room homely and comfortable.

Brand new, super clean, fabulous breakfast provided, loved the quality linen and towels. Best place to stay in Balclutha. Joss was amazing with welcome text and fresh towels each day👍🌸

We loved everything about the suite! It was super modern, had everything we needed to cook, eat, shower and watch TV (the Netflix and cable tv was a great bonus). Joss was super accomodating and helpful after the start of our was delayed. This was our favourite accomodation that we stayed at in New Zealand and we will definitely be back next time we are in the country!

This was a beautiful spot for my daughter and myself to get away for a few days. The suite was gorgeous and so clean. Had everything we needed with the added bonus of breakfasts which was very cute and would cater to most people. Loved the coffee as well. We went exploring the catlins during the days and were so happy to return back, chuck some pasta in the microwave, chill out and watch Netflix, the TV was bigger than ours at home. The weather wasn't the greatest but that didn't damper our excitement for everything. The bed was super comfy we had the best nights sleeps which is so important for us. Joss was lovely who we met briefly and made us feel at home.

Couldn't fault it or think of anything else that could be improved.
