Cactus Arugambay

El lugar tiene mucho encanto. La habitación era pequeña,pero muy cómoda y estaba muy limpia,y tenía tetera,tes y cafes. Hay una cocina compartida que puedes usar libremente, y un pequeño jardín donde se está muy agusto, y es muy propicio para conversar con otros huespedes. Y todo a un minuto de la playa. El chico que lo lleva es encantador,siempre con una sonrisa y en un momento te soluciona cualquier cosa

Everything. The stuff is great, the facilities super nice and clean and close to the beach and lot of shops

The host was very nice and the location was amazing, very close to the beach.

Some of the drawers were dirty or had a hole inside, but it was not a big deal for us.

Perfect location, very close to the beach. Has a kitchen you can use and is a very cosy vibe. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. You have your peace and quiet when you want it.

Very well located, restaurants, supermarkets and the beach are all just two minutes away. Super cheap. And the friendliest staff, extremely helpful, no matter what.

Good location and staff was very kind. I think they maintain the pllace it can be great place to stay. If your kind of hippie and you don’t really care it’s ok. Bed was clean and comfortable.

Bathroom was disaster sorry. We are use to very local condition but these place need cleaning. Water is problem in Arugambay in general, but here was used well watter through the water tank and somewhere mistake happened because water was smelly and orange. Staff warned us to not drink the water but we weren’t able even brush the teeth or wash the face. Also there is no privacy, windows couldn’t be closed properly and since there is restaurant at the property we could hear everything.

Super friendly staff! They helped us alot when we wanted to take the night bus to Colombo, also comfortable beds and the beach was suppeeer nearby!

Location was very good!

The accommodation was perfect location just a short walk to the beach and all the main shops. The bed was comfortable and free tea and coffee and water. The outside area was always clean and tidy with relaxing music on which made the place a completely tranquil environment. Overall stay was very relaxing, even extended my stay.

The water in the shower can be a little temperamental but overall the stay was wonderful.

the WiFi didn’t work well in the room but that didn’t affect our stay no hot water but it’s so hot in Arugam Bay that it doesn’t matter

I liked this hostel because it jas a great vibe and is close to the beach (2 min walk) It has a few private rooms and one dorm so its not the biggest, which i like. The room is only with single beds and is quite big. There is free waterrefil and the restaurant (buddies cafe) is a nice place to just have a chill or get some amazing food! The people are also very nice and will help you all they can. I stayed here 4 nights!

I only stayed one night however would've stayed longer had there been vacancies. Very chilled out, homely atmosphere. The room was clean and the staff made sure I had everything I needed. You can nip straight down to the beach and just a short walk into the hub of town.

It is actually very cheap and I met great people there. The outside area is great.

Great place and very authentic. Lovely size room with huge bed. Massive bathroom with fantastic shower. One minute walk to beach and restaurants. Lovely garden area to chill. Free coffee water and use of fridge. Fantastic friendly staff who were very helpful. Great value for money highly recommend

It’s a super cute place… I like the minimal style with plants and obviously cacti 🌵 location is great and facilities too… also the hosting is nicely balanced… it’s a calm place.

Lovely spot down the quite end of town, beach 100m away.

Staff is very helpful.They can organize private safari tour for you. The place is very calm and good for chill.

Good location

There were mice in the room in the lockers were I was locking my documents, so I had to take them out. After I left the stuff without a locker - somebody stole my international passport.

Great location in front of the beach and short walk to main strip of shops and restaurants

Very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed at a private room and unfortunately the rooms aren’t ceiled at all so you can hear your next door neighbours talking and flushing the toilet as if they would be in your room. The tap water is quite rusty but the bed was very comfy.

This place is new so they will improve But, water can be more filtered (common problem in arugam) Walls can be fixed for less noise from outside. Not a vibe of hostel yet...

It was a very nice little home for the night. It’s very basic. You get water, tee, coffee for free which is really nice. :) Worth a visit if you just pass through AB.

There was no planket to sleep, but you‘ll probably get one if you ask, towels are provided. I had my own planket with me so I didn’t really care. Also it was a bit warm with only a fan for me but I think that’s up to anybody’s preference.

Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed and good location.

There's no hot water tap and NEVER EVER I would use their laundry service again. All my white clothes returned as dirty as they were. I washed it better in my hand.
