Proximity to Adam's Peak - it's an easy walk to the entrance from the hotel. The manager and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Delicious buffet on the second night of our stay!

The room decor was extremely sparse and outdated (again, this is a backpacker's hotel). We only had cold water in the shower, but did have hot water in the sink. The linens needed to be cleaned. What was the most difficult was having to walk up and down three steep flights of steps to our room. This was a killer after climbing Adam's Peak.

Lummig och skön miljö, en lite bäck som porlade nedanför balkongen med rikt fågelliv och grädden på moset utsikt mot Sri Pada. Bra och väl tilltagen frukost, french fries till middag sticker ut, riktigt goda. Trevlig och kvick personal i största allmänhet god och vällagad mat. Här behövs varken A/C eller fläkt det är tillräckligt svalt för en nordbo och den iskalla duschen ser till att man vaknar på morgonen. Här går man ner i hotellet inte upp.

Die Familie, die das Hotel führt, steht einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und gibt wertvolle Tipps zu lokalen Naturschauspielen, z.B. Morey waterfall

Mooie uitvalsbasis om Adams Peak te beklimmen. Ligt vlak bij begin van de klim. Super aardig personeel die helemaal ingesteld zijn om ontbijt te verzorgen nadat je 's ochtends terugkomt van de klim naar Adams Peak. Mochten ook later uitchecken om even uit te rusten en te douchen.

I was so well taken care of! Felt like staying with family. Very comfortable and clean, and delicious food. Excellent location.

I wish my bed had a mosquito net. Otherwise perfect stay.

Die super Aussicht auf einen Fluss, den Garten und den Adam's Peak. Ausgesprochen hilfsbereites Personal. Tolles Frühstück, selbst wenn man sehr spät noch von der Nachtwanderung zum Adam's Peak kommt.

Wonderful staff, quiet location, within walking distance to the Adams peak trail

We stayed here as we wanted to climb Adams Peak in the morning. The dinner and breakfast were very nice and the hotel reasonable. The host was very kind and allowed us a later check out, as we had been up early to climb the Peak,

The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was very well maintained. We enjoyed a Sri Lankan meal, which was excellent. The night was peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend this place.

A lot of stairs to climb. Bathroom poorly ventilated. everywhere gets wet after a shower and you can't dry it some room have not been cleaned well enough and needs renovation

Family run and very friendly. A view of the Sri Pada - Adams peak. Delicious barista coffee - the best in Sri Lanka.. Got up early for us to pack a lunch before we walked up the mountain. Organised a guide for our Dad who was very patient. Communal dining area with great views up to Adams peak. Very accommodating for dietary requirements.

Хорошее расположение для ночевки перед восхождением на Пик Адама с красивыми видами. В номерах есть чайник, большие удобные кровати, большой хороший балкон. Состояние номеров уже изношенное, но провести ночь можно вполне комфортно. Были приятно удивлены великолепным знанием английского хозяина, у которого можно было получить всю необходимую информацию.

Единственная проблема, с которой столкнулись, это неработающий входной замок в номере - дверь не закрывалась, но достаточно быстро вопрос был решен.

Nous sommes venus pour gravir Adam’s Peak en hors saison. Parbu, qui nous a accueilli, a été extrêmement disponible et serviable tout au long de notre séjour elle nous a même donné des conseils et prêté du matériel pour l’ascension du pic. Chaudement recommandé.

Camera ampia, pulita e con una vista spettacolare su Adam’s Peak, a pochi metri dal sentiero: posizione perfetta per chi vuole affrontare la salita all’alba. Abbiamo cenato e fatto colazione in struttura: tutto ottimo, abbondante e gustoso. Lo staff è stato davvero disponibile e attento a ogni nostra esigenza. Esperienza consigliatissima!

Belles et grandes chambres eau chaude très appréciable Repas EXCELLENTS (petit déjeuner et rice&curry du soir vraiment inoubliables) mention particulière au chocolat chaud qui est très très bon et qui vous réchauffera suite à la montée au pic… Emplacement idéal pour grimper le adam’s peak car l’entrée est proche à pied (juste traverser le village à pied) Ouvert toute l’année même off-season Personnel très accueillant Vue sublime (quand le ciel est dégagé!!!) If you are going up Sri Pada it's a great location to base yourself. The staff are friendly and helpful and give lots of good advice. The facilities are clean and functional, I'd highly recommend!

Beautiful balcony views of Adams Peak from our room and the dining room. Welcoming and kind staff ready to help with logistics if you plan to go up the peak. It is a short walk from the hotel to the beginning of the trail. Tasty food in the restaurant. Initially no electric kettle in the room but one as quickly brought when I asked.

Excellent stay, which we extended to spend 5 days in total. Room and bathroom were very clean, spacious, comfortable, and very bright. The opening to the private balcony was also very appreciable. The setting with the river below and the view over Adam's Peak was very southing. The place is very calm. The hotel manager and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. The food was very good. The location is perfect to do the walk to Adam's Peak, right from the hotel. No hesitation to recommend this place.

When we are eating in the evening, there is a TV screen in the dining room on which is displayed some pop music. I would have much more appreciated some local music ;-) ! Other than that, everything was perfect for us.

Great food, location and bed

Very bright and airy room with huge windows over Adam’s Peak, it was very clean and only a 10 minutes walk from the beginning of the hike trail. Very quiet with only the soothing noise of a nearby creek. I had the warmest and most powerful shower here after coming back from the hike!! The whole structure is very organised with screens showing info on how to get to either Kandy, Ella or Colombo by train and also useful weather info for the hike.

The bathrooms are connected through an open vent so you can hear your neighbour’s bathroom business. The food was nothing special (but then again I’m vegetarian so I only had a few options)

Cleanliness of bathroom and room floor (found hairs on the carpet). There was also an issue with hot water while I was there, but when informed they solved it.

Hotel room was clean and very spacious with a good view of nature. It was also a good starting point for the hike up to Adam's peak, the reason for us traveling to this location. Breakfast was good( fruit plate with a big flapjack).

We stayed in a family room with a mountain view. It was quite spacious for 2 adults and 1 child. The room had 2 large and comfortable beds, a table, a hanger, a TV, 2 armchairs, and an electric kettle. Tea, cream and sugar were also provided. Great news: there is always hot water in the bathroom! The staff was very welcoming. In addition, the owner gave us advice about the time of the climb, since a crowd of pilgrims had come for the Aurudu festival.

There is only one outlet for charging devices, but I think this is not a problem for most tourists

Slightly chilled was the perfect base from which to do the Adam’s Peak hike. The staff were friendly and highly professional, offering advice about the hike etc. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the room very clean. The location was perfect, a 10 min walk from the start of the trail and with beautiful views of the mountain. Would highly recommend!

We loved this place. Great room (22) fabulousbed (there was a single and double in the room) lovelybathroom with hot water shower. Superb balcony and view to Adams peak. The owner helped us avoid the queue on our 02.00am walk to the peak. Its a really good place. Superb breakfast

So many stairs after climbing Adam’s peak!

Cockroaches were not a problem, but three were a bit much and the toilet was broken. Compared to other similarly priced hotels in Sri Lanka, I would have thought you could check every inch of the room a bit more before accepting guests. Thank you very much.

Check in and out went well, DO order continental breakfast (good value for money) since the kitchen is not prepared for srilankan breakfast, the room was very clean, lots of hot water, good wifi and very cheap with a great view to Adams Peak. The staff/owner had good recommandations for nice walks in the tea plantations. Our last nice the "mamma" went to the kitchen and made us the best rice n' curry we had in Sri Lanka - so good!

Srilankan breakfast - please be honest that this is not a real possibillity to have. Your continental breakfast was real good!

One night at Slightly Chilled? AMAZING! The fancy room with a view of Adams Peak blew me away! Waking up to that mountain was incredible. Plus, the comfy bed and tasty food (loved the curries!) were fantastic. A perfect quick stay to feel refreshed!

We stayed for 2 nights to climb Adams Peak. Our room was spotlessly clean. The hotel manager was really helpful in every aspect of our stay and arranged forward transport. The location was very good on the edge of all the hustle and bustle with great views from the rooms. The food was really good fresh cooked by the managers mother. The taxi arranged for us had a really nice driver who was safe but made our long trip interesting. Very happy overall

Great location, super view. A bit further from the starting point of Sri Pada hike but more quiet. Spacious room, warm water😀 which in Sri Lanka isn’t given. Nice staff. Good food.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was airy and spacious and had a nice balcony. Nice touch including bottles of water and tea/coffee facilities.

There was a gong noise that repeatedly occurred throughout the night, my partner opened the door to try and establish where it came from but couldn’t work it out. Appreciate this May not have been coming from the guesthouse but something to bear in mind if you’re getting up early to climb Adam’s Peak. Also, service charge was added to the entire stay and items purchased in the shop, not just food and drink we had as meals.
