Lough Derg Holiday Resort

What a location!! The view from the breakfast bar while you eat is amazing . Ducks came to visit ! Great base for touring the area. We walked most of the lough derg way and drove lot of the west coast too.Never been to Ireland before , the locals are so friendly , helpful and welcoming, every shop, bar and restaurant we went to ,we’ll definitely be back. Excellent food in Pipers just up the road , handy for supermarkets in town. We had a great week and couldn’t have asked for more from Jeremy who is the perfect host . Thanks for a lovely week.

Very minor , bedrooms need mirrors near a socket so you can see to do your hair! Only possible in twin room.

The view is really good

We stayed 6 nights with 6 people. The host provided only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one bin bag, and two dishwasher tablets for the entire stay. We had to buy everything. Also, there were no basic cooking items like salt, oil, or sugar, and the kitchen did not have enough pans or dishes for six people. For the price we paid, this accommodation was not worth it.

Amazing house ... amazing scenery .. absolutely nothing negative to say! Owner is friendly & welcoming and has thought of everything to make your stay as easy as possible! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

A lack of basic condiments , sugar , teabag. No hand soap in bathroom. Otherwise a 10/10

I liked everything

Beautiful peaceful location right on the lake shore, but still within a few minutes if the town.

Struggled with the steps around the house, but that is purely a mobility issue of one guest, not a reflection on the house itself. Just something to be aware of.

Location and house was spacious and well suited for a family

Excellent location and host was very helpful.

The property is a beautiful cottage exactly on the lake. Situated in a very quiet area allowing you to benefit from the nature around it. The host was nice and very responsive too.

The heating in the property could have been better. The place was very cold every night when we returned and took long to heat up.

The house is in an amazing location, right on the lake. It was warm and cozy and comfortable.

The house location on the lake side is super. The rooms, kitchen, garden, etc exceeded what we expected. And of course the host, which took care of everything upon our arrival.

20feet from the lake! Straight out with the kayaks in seconds. Such a tranquil and peaceful location with wildlife floating by regularly. Honestly couldn't recommend the house or Jeremy more highly. House was fully equipped with everything you'll need and comfortably would sleep 6/7 adults.

Absolutely nothing to fault! Will definitely be back.

Lovely house, beautiful scenery. Great for kids, they had great fun & loved feeding the ducks. Great location also.

Nothing really we didn’t like about the property. I suppose a car is necessary as you’re not walking distance to shops/restaurants.

The cottage is right by the lakeside as in the lakeside is in the garden. It was almost too good to believe from the photos, but it is really true! The garden is also mostly enclosed, which was great with the dog. The cottage is near Killaloe, which is a lovely little town which was nice to visit.

It was amazing, so difficult to find anything. If pressed, the addition of some easy chairs in the garden might make the Lakeside Cottage even better.
