There was a kitchenette area with a fridge, a table for eating, the bed was really comfortable and the property a shortt walk.from camelford. Where there was an excellent Nepalese restaurant/ takeaway. There was also a main guest lounge equipped with board games would. Recommend.

Clean, had everything we needed, and wanted. Very comfortable. Room on the small side but in fact this was not a problem for a one night stay. Easy parking The proprietor went out of her way to try and help us with a problem we had before our check-in time, and came up with a potential solution. She then offered to check its feasibility and rung us back. She went above and beyond.

Das Highermead House liegt etwas versteckt am Ortsrand von Camelford. Vor dem Haus gibt es genügend kostenlose Parkplätze. Ich hatte dort ein kleines Apartment mit gut ausgestatteter Küchenzeile. Alles sauber und ordentlich. Die Besitzer sind häufig unterwegs, daher ruft man nach Ankunft die bei der Buchung angegebene Telefonnummer an und bekommt Instruktionen zum Eingangscode bzw. Zimmer.

Alles einwandfrei und praktisch für uns Radfahrer...vorallem liess sich die Heizung einschalten und wir konnten unsere nasse Kleidung trocknen. Räder wurden von Vermieterin versorgt. Super praktisch ist auch die kleine eingebaute Küche, nur schade hat sie keine Kochplatte...( in England hat leider die Mikrowelle das Kochen weitestgehend übernommen...) Die Vermieterin ist eine sehr freundliche Person.

We where extremely positively surprised. Online pictures definitely don't do this place justice. We would give 20 stars if there was an option. From the outside, the building looks a little tired. The garden and facade are currently being renovated. Inside, the property is fully refurbished with a cosy, smart design—it is very clean, smells fresh, and feels airy. The kitchenette is extremely well equipped. The Wi-Fi speed is definitely worth mentioning, with several boosters located across the entire building. There is also free, spacious, and easy-to-navigate private parking for about 10 cars. Best of all, it's only a 5-minute walk from 'Peckish Fish & Chips'—a busy spot that is definitely worth a visit. Be sure to order the Cod Bits, as recommended by Kasey, the lovely hotel owner. We did, and we only wish it were closer to home! Thanks for your hospitality. Anna (room 8)

Very well kept, very modern and close to Camelford high street and those looking to walk up Rough Tor. Very relaxed hotel with communal area we didn’t get to take advantage of and free parking. WiFi also very good.

A lovely place to stay close to places like Tintagel and Port Isaac, with other gems dotted along the coast. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good parking. We can highly recommend it.

Love Highermead House..excellent location, very quiet. Rooms are excellent with everything you would need.. The Hosts Kacy & Jon are lovely people who are always on hand to help if needed. Would definitely recommend as this was our 3rd time staying here and are definitely staying again next year...

Perfect property for visiting Cornwall . Plenty of parking, Room was very clean and comfortable. Perfect Easy access to local pub, Fish and chip shop ( best to pre order) and a bonus of music in the pavilion in the summer months

The owner is so friendly & accommodating. Easy to get in upon arrival & she soon came to make sure everything was as to our satisfaction. Rooms a nice size with a comfortable bed. Super lighting in the room & neat ensuite with shower. A good sink area with a microwave, kettle, coffee, tea & sugar provided. A decent instant coffee too. Also a small fridge with a freezer that was very handy to chill & freeze for keeping things cool the whole of the next day. Even a small bottle of milk was lef5 so you can have a hot drink once arrived & settling in. Thank you

We are repeat customers, which says it all. Exceptionally clean, well presented rooms with self catering facility incorporated. Thoughtfully designed, giving ample space to relax in comfort. Restaurants, take aways, pubs,shops all nearby. Easy to find, free parking and Kasey and Jons relaxed attitude. Value for money accomodation which excells at what it provides.

Great location for visiting the local sites, also just a short walk to the village, which has a few pubs, one selling beer at just 3.45 a pint, there is also a excellent fish and chip shop. The accomodations clean, with all you need for a couple of nights, there is a kitchette, kettle, toaster etc, but no hob for cooking. There is a garden to the front and nice internal patio for having breakfast outside. We slept very well indeed. Great job to the owners!

For travellers such as ourselves, would be nice to have a communal clothes washing machine, there are ones that you can buy with pay systems, For us a couple of nights, we hand washed the clothes though.

It was easy to find with lots of parking. In nice grounds. The interior communal areas were clean and tidy and the bedroom was very nice with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The television was connected to streaming services. The kitchen area was well equipped with nice touches like tea, coffee, biscuits and milk in the fridge.

There isn’t much in Camelford itself so a car would be useful.

Clean comfortable rooms, great location for travelling around to see other places. Very easy to check in and out, great parking available on site.

Lovely quiet location just up hill from shops etc. loads of parking. Very quiet, clean and comfortable room which was nice and cool in heat wave conditions. Local maps, guides and sitting area for guests were a great touch.

Excellent location, easy walk into Camelford. Plenty of parking. Rooms very clean and finished to a high standard. Tea making facilities very much appreciated after a long drive.

My partner and I had a wonderful 2 night stay. Highermead is a convenient distance from the town centre and easy walking distance to the local fish and chip shop. There was free private parking available on site. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need including a fridge and freezer, and the windows have quality blockout curtains. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Though we didn’t have breakfast, there was an option for a cooked or continental breakfast available. The host was easily contactable, very friendly and accomodating.

Highermead house went above all expectations, the welcome pack in the room was such a thoughtful touch,for easy to find activities and experiences in the area. The facilities were beautifully decorated and clean, the bed exceptionally comfortable.

Really nice place in Camelford. I had a room with a kitchenette & fridge which was great & also a desk which was useful as I was in Camelford for work. Bed was comfortable & the place was very quiet at night as its up a lane away from the main road through Camelford. Plenty of parking. Continental breakfast delivered to my door each morning was nice. The bedroom and bathroom had been newly fitted out and were immaculate.

It was set out with all we needed for our stay, with the bed, en-suite, and kitchenette.

Ideally, the curtains need to be thicker to provide better mitigation against light coming into the room during the early hours.

Location was quiet and peaceful. Room was comfortable and had everything we required. We saw one or two guests in communal areas but never heard anything from other rooms. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

La camera era spaziosa, pulita e luminosa. La Host molto gentile e ci ha aspettato oltre le 23, a causa del ritardo del volo per Bristol. Comodo il minifrigo, non rumoroso! La colazione, consegnata in un cestino di vimini all'ora stabilita davanti alla porta, era ricca di buone cose, tra l'altro decise compilando un foglietto la sera dell'arrivo e prevedeva anche frutta fresca.

Il lavabo era giusto un lava- mani, ma d'altronde lo spazio era quel che era.

Sehr nette Gastgeberin hat uns beim unterstellen der Fahrräder und Fahrradträger sehr geholfen. Betten waren zwar schmahl, aber gute Härte. Die Dusche ist groß und hatte gute Armaturen ! Großer Fernseher ! Viele Steckdosen .

Das Waschbecken im Bad, siehe Foto, geht gar nicht, viel zu klein nicht zu gebrauchen ! Die Außenanlagen waren, außer dem Parkplatz , eine einzige Baustelle ! Die Küche ist klein, es fehlt aber ein Herd oder wenigstens eine Mikrowelle mit Grill ! Der Essplatz fürs Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr klein. Sehr verwinkelter enger Zugang zum Zimmer .

PARKING: open air private parking area in front of the guesthouse building. Area felt very safe and far from the main roads. CHECK-IN: easy, quick and uncomplicated as long as you sync with the host about the time of your arrival. STAFF: kind and nice, very welcoming. WIFI/VPN: worked. SIZE: large, very large. It was in fact a one-room apartment with small kitchen and sofa area. STYLE: renewed, but having some nice decorations and pretty corners in the common living room areas. POWER WHEN YOU LEAVE: stays on. CLEAN: yes, very much. BATHROOM: small but functional. Some soap products are offered as well. QUIET: yes, very much. You are 2-300 meters far from the main road of the village in a very green area. LOCATION: it served my purpose, I guess on a raining cold night you don't really have much other choice, than driving to get anywhere useful. SERVICES AROUND: didn't check, but arriving I stopped at a small grocery and petrol station. VALUE FOR THE MONEY: good, if you need to stop in this very area. RESTAURANT IN WALKING DISTANCE: didn't check. Nothing next door anyway.

Very clean and fresh rooms. Enough space, comfortable bed. well lit.. Nice shower and bathroom. No noise from other guests. Clean fridge and microwave. Nothing at all to complain about. Would have been happy to stay for a week.

There was no view from our ground-floor window.. and some of the outside areas are still a work in progress of landscaping.
