Garden Apartment

We had a lovely two-day stay at the Garden Apartment. The location is perfect—it's very close to the village center (only a 5-minute walk!), yet it feels incredibly peaceful and quiet. The apartment is well-equipped with everything we needed. We were also deeply inspired by Jules’ beautiful artwork displayed around the place. Jules was a fantastic and welcoming host. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Matakana!

A perfect accommodation with the most comfortable bed and a gorgeous private garden! So relaxing to sit on the well sheltered patio and enjoy the garden and birdsong . Thank you Jules for a wonderful stay we highly recommend this property.

Location was great. Very clean. Lots of thoughtful 'extras' like an umbrella, coffee pods, chocolates. Excellent communication from the owner. Easy walking distance to the village.

Located in a very nice area, walking distance to a quaint town with restaurants, market and supermarket. Convenient to many scenic activities across the region.

This is an exceptionally comfortable, well-equipped property in a quiet and private residential area. Jules, the owner could not have been more helpful and welcomed us by helping us with our luggage on arrival. The private garden was a joy and to be able to sit there and listen to the Tui's birdsong over a glass of wine was an absolute delight. This is a five star property and we would unhesitatingly stay there again given the opportunity.

The tranquility, privacy and proximity to village and other attractions in the area. The apartment has a welcoming vibe, is modern and well appointed. Jules made us very welcome.

Excellent location just minutes from village.

Jules is the perfect host. We were welcomed on arrival. And our request for separate beds was fixed immediately. Information to access local amenities was provided. It's a nice 5-10 minute walk from the back of the garden into the village, which is a charming hub for locals and tourists alike. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed. The outdoor seating is undercover and looks over a sweet cottage garden.

We found the apartment very quiet and relaxing. The apartment looks out on a well maintained garden and pleasant surroundings.

It is a fantastic location to walk to markets or town for drinks. It's a great place for a weekend trip.

There was only one thing, and it is probably only because we are older, but the sofa was quite low, making it a little difficult to get up from it after sitting in it for some time.

Everything we could want. Modern, clean & spacious self contained holiday accommodation. The generous size private veranda overlooking the garden was a bonus as was the short walk into Matakana town.

Friendly welcome - superb apartment, comfortable, spotless - with everything you could possibly need provided. Apartment had a comfortable terrace facing a well kept and peaceful, private garden. Easy access to Matakana village, local beaches, sculpture parks and wineries. Would thoroughly recommend.

Garden Apartment was extremely clean, comfortable and well appointed. It is very private and there is a lovely view of the well kept garden. It is a very short walk to the Main Street of Matakana with all of the wonderful things it has to offer.

The location of this apartment was lovely as it looked out onto the garden and bush, very quiet and relaxing. Short stroll to the main shopping area of Matakana. Well appointed kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Tasteful and clean furnishings plus a very comfy bed. Great off street parking as well.

That we were expected to leave the window open for ventilation which meant there were lots of mosquitos and insects coming in.
