Was zoals thuis komen.
This was a great resupply stop for a GDT hiker. This B&B had a comfortable room with updated bathroom, a hiker box, a full breakfast, and laundry facilities. I was able to resupply using the hiker box and two convenience stores in town.
So charming! The owners were lovely, the sheets divine, the clawfoot bathtub quite luxurious and the furry faced reception pup was ever so sweet. Breakaways delicious. We’ll be back!
Nothing to complain about.
Dawn was an excellent host who made us feel welcome the minute we walked in! Quiet sleep. We were easily able to control the room temp with the AC. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious!
Location, character of place.
Nothing
Didn't have the breakfast, just don't eat, but that didn't stop the host from trying to her best to make me everything under the sun, just so she could serve me. All of the staff went over and above, by Loki was my favorite. Sorry guys haha
Absolutely nothing .It was fabulous service, the bedding was some of the softest in the world, and a clawfoot bathtub
A welcomed sojourn This was a hidden gem. We arrived tired from a day on the road and landed in the town of Coleman. We arrived early in the afternoon and were greeted by Dawn and dog Loki, we asked if we could check in early and they were able to accommodate us. Dawn gave us a tour of the house which included a beautiful outdoor space to lounge in the sun, a small library with many cooking books, Canadian history books, fantasy books, and Roman classics as well as the most welcoming arm chairs for the serious reader. In addition there is a small place for espresso and coffee and the FAMOUS cookie jars that have the most delicious cookies. The rooms were clean and nice. The showers were hot and the WiFi was fast. In the morning we were greeted downstairs with a full breakfast of fruit, yogurt, and muffins before being treated to a hearty entree of waffles topped with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon - so delicious! All served with orange juice and coffee. We wish we could have stayed for longer than just one night. This was a fantastic experience. Dawn was a wonderful host and we hope should we be passing through Coleman again we would love to stay again. It checks all of the boxes for us: friendly host, clean and welcoming accommodations, great amenities, and also at a very reasonable price if you consider that you will get cookies and a delicious breakfast. Please consider supporting Dawn and her business, it was a wonderful experience and we would love to see others enjoy the same excellent experience.
The stay was exceptional, nothing negative to say.
Wonderful hosts, wonderful rooms, & breakfast is always amazing! We've been staying here almost yearly for a few years now. Favorite stay

It was very cute, the patio was amazing, and the breakfast was so cute and way more than expected.

Very nice eclectic place.
Rustic charm — a chance to “live” the history of the area (in a clean room with modern amenities and good food). Morning coffee in the room, whilst looking at snow-covered Crowsnest mountain against a blue sky is a heaven sent experience.
All good with the property.
Very nice little boutique Hotel. Nice homemade breakfast and charming vintage rooms. Will definitely stay here again.
It has character! The breakfast was awesome and all things we enjoy eating. The location was very suitable for our needs. We were comfortable and well taken care of.
It is in a historical building so that means small rooms and uneven floors. We like the character but these could be liabilities if you have mobility issues.
Our whole experience was wonderful! Our hosts were so kind. We had a very nice visit with them. They were a joy! They recommended a super little place to eat right across the street. Also recommended a trail to walk. Breakfast was yummy. Their puppy was sweet. The house was decorated so neat. Highly recommend this little place! .
Everything was just amazing!
Incredible breakfast! We felt like we benefited from Dawn's catering experience, and the dining room and cooking area was a lovely set up.
Loved the decor and character!
No complaints!
The breakfast and location were both fantastic. We were able to walk to dinner and a gas station in minutes. All spaces of the hotel were clean and quiet. Our room was so comfortable. I would definitely book again.
The only thing that could have been a bit better was the space in the shower/ bathroom to get ready in the morning. There was no where to put soap, shampoo, etc. in the shower which made it a bit awkward. We were attending a wedding, and the space for hair and makeup was also a bit awkward! Besides that, 0 issues :)
Bien situé Bon déjeuné
Homemade breakfast brought to your table made fresh when you arrive to the dining room. Comfiest sheets I ever slept in. Such a neat place I plan to stay at again.
The hosts Dawn and Mark were so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was great and the rooms were very clean. We had such a great stay here and will come back definitely!
Breakfast was hearty. Location was perfect!
The beds were not as comfortable as expected and both the hot tub and sauna were not working during our stay.
Very interesting antiques at the accommodations, beds comfortable and cozy
The property was very quaint, evoking a nostalgia in our old hearts. It was also very clean. The hostess was very friendly and informative. The breakfast served was excellent.
There was nothing.
Great. Great. Great.
I appreciate your hospitality and your home. Thankyou for having my daughter and I. I appreciate your generosity, the coffee, tea, cookies and the lovely breakfast. Your old fashioned hospitality is noticed and appreciated! We enjoyed the area you call home, when we return we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thankyou
I had a special request regarding the check-in time, and the hosts kindly accommodated me. Everything was organized perfectly. My room was clean, tidy, and had all the amenities as advertised. I really liked the interior — it’s not something you see very often. I would definitely choose this place again without hesitation if I have the chance. And by the way, Dawn, thank you again for the breakfast!
In my opinion, the mattress was not the most comfortable, or maybe just different from what I’m used to.
Beautiful location, amazing staff, facilities, and food. Loved the shared history and unique trinkets throughout the building. Hand-made Jewelry and jarred goods. Mountain view Wish I could have stayed longer to explore and experience the beautiful building.
Great breakfast! Neat old building with fun antique decor, and wonderful family running this small bed and breakfast inn.
Location perfect for exploring/walking after a long day of travel. Breakfast was delicious!
The breakfast was exceptional, clean, fresh, and offering a wonderful variety of options. It was truly a great way to start the day
Everything was fine Overall, the service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the stay very comfortable. Everything was handled professionally and exceeded expectations.
Very pleasant place to stay.
Nothing.
great breakfast and good coffee. Host was friendly and had lots of travel stories. nice room and comfortable bed.
Our room was very cozy, filled with beautiful and interesting antiques. The owner/staff were very welcoming. The home-cooked breakfast that was included in the price was delicious.
We loved our comfortable room, the atmosphere at Country Encounters is warm & hospitable, the breakfasts are absolutely delicious & it was a treat to sit out on the beautiful deck to relax & enjoy the sunshine!
There was nothing we didn't like.
Breakfasts were yummy, freshly made; staff friendly and helpful
Rooms were cosy and comfortable. Location was quiet and quaint with restaurant easy walking distance
This is a great vintage home with lots of characters. The owner keeps the original flavour of the home as munch as possible and adds modern convenience. The breakfast was made by the owner which is outstanding! The owner also lives on site and is available to help. The location is close to the museum in town and other attractions in the Crowsnest Pass. I recommend to stay here for a day or two to learn the coal mining history of Canada.
The building could use some more safety features like warning strips for stairs. We have witnessed several near misses of trips and falls during our stay.
Great service, very clean and nice rooms
Excellent breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere
Nice heritage building with friendly staff.
No fridge in my room, I was worried about disrupting people making several trips to the fridge in the common area for beer.
I liked everything especially the breakfast
Nothing
Breakfast was delicious, hearty and offered a variety of food. Lots of juice and coffee and friendly conversation around the dining room.
What can I say? I have stayed here several times and will stay again. Welcoming hosts, funky building and furniture, clean rooms, comfortable bed, lovely towels, excellent breakfast. What's not to like?
Nothing
Awesome breakfast,different every day.
More time to enjoy the establishment.
Le style, le calme, la gentillesse de la patronne,l'envionnement, vaut la peine d'être connu
Very cute and spacious
Excellent breakfast. Excellent owners
Great historic Bibb
Comfortable and very clean room in a heritage building. We were in the "1920's Room" with corner winds and dining nook so it was especially heritage. Being right in the town core, it is a refreshing change from facilities along the highway. Close to restaurants. The included full breakfast is great. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
Nothing to not like. We were nervous about being close to the railroad but the sound of trains was strangely unobtrusive - they seem to idle through town without sounding horn or bells so actually soothing.
Everything was well kept. The view from the upstairs patio was perfect to watch the sun set. Breakfast was exceptional!

Value for $$. Welcoming, friendly host and excellent breakfast!
Nothing.
Clean and quiet great hosts and great breakfast
Clean and quiet
The building and amenities were fantastic. Felt very homey, like staying at a grandparents house. My partner and I enjoyed the back patio space the evening we stayed, which was fantastic. The common room area was well equipped with books and a tv and a large comfy couch. There was nothing I needed and could not get or find. She also has a little coffee station with homemade cookies open for use whenever! The breakfast she makes in the morning is lovely, as well.
The beds were not the most comfortable but not terrible. Other than that, not much to complain about!
Great people, excellent food, great overall experience 👍
Nothing
I would give this place 11/10 if I could. The owners were beyond fantastic and the accommodations were amazing. Well definitely stay there again anytime we are passing through. The owners are incredibly good hosts.
Breakfast awesome, great proprietors on site. Beautiful area . Thanks for the tip to visit the falls near Frank.
That we only had.1 night
Rustic setting. Staff is very willing to help in any way they can. Homemade cookies and big delicious breakfast.
In a quaint town on the rebound; nicely redecorated yet in period style.
Staff was very warm and welcoming. Accommodation is an "inn" in the old-fashioned sense and quite lovely. Comfortable, pleasant communal spaces. The owners have clearly worked at finding ways to make the place a success, and it is nice to see family businesses that have continued to thrive in the small towns of the Crowsnest Pass.
It's always nice to have a bit of choice for breakfast, and there wasn't much choice. Small repairs in room (e.g., door handles) could improve presentation (and functionality!)
What a gorgeous place to stay! Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and we'll definitely be back! Loki was also a very sweet and friendly assistant manager :) Everything was magnificent!
We had an awesome private lounge area to visit during the evening. Breakfast was excellent.
Great place with lots of history
