The place is really not worth staying. Avoid it.
From the get go, we did not receive any information prior to arriving at the accommodation. Once we got there, we were greeted by a woman with a dog who was a bit weird and made very invasive questions about our plans and personal lives. She showed us the room and the dog entered also the room that we were staying, without her asking if we were ok with that. The whole house and our room smelled like wet dog - disgusting. Towels were ripped, we had to ask for toiletries as the room had only hand soap, bedsheets were stained and when I lifted the mattress, it was stained. Curtains were ripped and moldy and I am sure the sugar in the open bowl has not been changed in ages. One of the worst places I have stayed ever both in terms of amenities and staff professionality.
Good location easy walk to town.
Bathroom unclean and no toiletries
David and Aoife were exceptional hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. With only a 3 minute walk into a beautiful town. Our room was spotless with a comfy bed. We will definitely be returning
Friendly host, who enabled me to check in early. Good location 5 minutes walk from town on a quiet street with parking right outside.
The room was very dirty and unclean, the bedsheets smelt musty, the towels were damp, there were damp patches and leak stains all over the ceiling and there were spiders in every corner of the room and bathroom in their webs. The chandelier literally hadn't been dusted for years. It was a very poor quality level of cleaning and hygiene.
Nice lady Aoife answered the door the breakfast was really good
A light in the ceiling couldn’t be turned off the milk in our room was sour there was very little interaction
David ,his sister and staff were welcoming, friendly and created a lovely ambience we thoroughly enjoyed.Old Ireland hospitality at its best.We highly recommend.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome in the house. Our room was very spacious with a seating area attached. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We also had a lovely breakfast before leaving.
The pictures didn't really reflect the outside of the house which did seem a little run down.
A beautiful B&B right in the heart of Clonakilty run by the friendliest hosts - couldn’t recommend you stay here more if visiting the area. It’s a short walk to the Main Street in town with lovely restaurants, cafes and shops but yet feels like a peaceful escape in West Cork!
Very central . The owner Dave was so nice . We couldn’t get taxi to the hotel where wedding reception was as it was outside town and he gave us drive . So decent
Good ensuite kitchenette room with everything we needed. Dave and his sister were excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, we cannot praise them enough.
Nothing, it was all good.
The room was nicely designed and very comfortable. Everything was tastefully considered.
Nothing.
Convient to the town. Separate sitting area. Friendly staff.
The room decor and furniture was tired and worn. Could do with a refresh.
Location was perfect- close to town. Secure parking, comfy beds. Having the additional area with sofa, tv etc was great to have somewhere else to relax during the day. Staff friendly.
The restricted time for breakfast. Was staying 3 nights and 2 mornings was told we were having breakfast at 830am. Having the option of breakfast times would be more beneficial. Also towels/ room not freshened up during stay. Photos especially the outside ones weren't a true reflection.
Accueil chaleureux, environnement calme, bon petit déjeuner.
Everything, no complaints!!
Great location to visit Clonakilty and CourtMacsherry Lovely town with plenty of places to eat and to listen to live music Parking outside the property Breakfast was excellent Staff were attentive and friendly Bathroom very clean
The photos on booking.com didn’t match the actual room The WiFi kept dropping Nice seating area outside where we had breakfast but is looking a bit tired now and could do with a bit of TLC
The room was decorated beautifully and very spacious. The room included a small refrigerator. Bathroom was wonderful. Check in was easy.
Room cleanliness. A cup of coffee was left from a former guest. We were also disappointed that the breakfast was 30 euro per person -- it seemed rather pricey so we opted out.
Beautiful suite with bathroom and separate sitting area and balcony. Gorgeous breakfast served in the garden. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. We will be back.
It was a beautiful clean room with a really comfortable bed. The location was great for a stay in Clon and the price was affordable. Breakfast was great and staff friendly.
Location & owner was very pleasant. Delicious breakfast
We stayed at Nordav the night before checking into the wedding venue for the wedding we were attending and we were blown away by the friendliness and beautiful decor. Aoife was absolutely lovely and we’d come back in a heartbeat.
Beautiful comfortable room, with a small sitting room off and a verandah.. Highly recc Aoife was charming and could not do enough for us
Great staff. Lovely food. All very good.
We stayed for just one night, but it was a really lovely experience. What made our stay extra special was the very attentive and welcoming host, who made us truly feel the warmth of Irish hospitality. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. The location was very convenient and close to everything we wanted to see in Clonakilty.
Si mucho
We liked the kitchenette in the room, a safe place to park on the premises behind a gate, & the short walk to town. The town has cute shops, several good restaurants, & pubs with live music. The room was clean & the hallways were quiet for the duration of our stay. Breakfast smelled great, though we had to be on the road early. Painless check in & out.
TLDR: check bed size to be sure it matches your reservation, be aware of windows/ fan situation of it's supposed to be a warm day, & check the shower drainage all immediately *before* settling into your room. We reserved a king bed junior suite at Nordav in Clonakilty for our 25th anniversary trip. We very specifically booked all lodgings at places offering queen or king-sized beds as we sleep in a queen at home, knew it was supposed to be warm, & we both like room to sleep. We landed in Dublin around noon, started driving, & arrived at Nordav around 7pm (Booking listing stated this was within check in times). The host was short with us when we arrived as the World Cup game was about to start on the television which didn't initially bother us. We dropped our luggage in the room, opened up all the windows to try and cool it off (no window screens), & ventured out on foot to grab a bite to eat and find a trad session to listen to. We came back around 10pm ready to wash our day of travel away and crash - we had been awake for about 36 hours by this point. My husband jumped in the shower while I tossed the king-sized top sheet we brought on the bed (no beds in Ireland or Scotland have top sheets). The sheet almost hit the floor on both sides of the listed "king" bed. As I stood there puzzled, from the other side of the bathroom door there was a *slosh* sound, a swear from my husband, and a tiny tsunami of sudsy water into the main room from under the door. The shower had *no* door, *no* edge to keep the water in, & a very sluggish drain. We frantically used every last towel provided to dry the area in the main room in front of the bathroom door, sluice all the water back into the shower, build a dam out of the soaked towels, & we waited for the water to drain. It is now 10:15pm, the room is still hot, there are no dry towels, the bed is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than I reserved and paid for, & *I* still need to shower.
The location was fine, it would help if they had a sign saying it actually was a b&b . We had difficulty finding it.
the room was cluttered with everything, ancient statue , fridge, hot drink options, too much furniture, , poor choice of wall pictures, we felt overwhelmed in the space, a power shower should be considered, The electric shower is dated , a bit like the house, we could smell the breakfast been cooked from early morning as if there no proper ventilation system in the kitchen . We were shown where to eat our breakfast in an open space at the back of the guesthouse. As soon as the food arrived so did a swarm of wasps, there must be a nest close by, One of staff quickly brought us to front of the guesthouse to eat only for the wasps to find us there as well.
The man was very accommodating and let us use the back space to play cards and relax. The ladies were very nice and had good recommendations for coffee. Seafood recommendations were not good. Try the whales tail!
The back area to hang out in should have been clean. It is peak travel season and there were no lights, and no clean areas to sit and relax at the house.
The cuteness of the room and the hospitality of the owners! We had a very very warm welcome. Highly recommend this place! 😊
Nothing at all!!
The couple were lovely the location was perfect
Na
Sehr freundliche Gasgeber, gutes Frühstück
Great host and hospitality.
La stanza è ampia e l'arredo è elegante. Ottima colazione
Qualche ragnatela, scarico del bagno pigro
It was in the Centre so near everything .The lady was very Helpful and advised us about eating places as we had our Small dog with us .
The Photos that Show the property must be from many years ago as the property from the outside looks fine but the inside is very dated and needs a lot of upgrades which is a pity the bed was ok but quite Small for myself and my Husband not very clean .The shower had a string to keep the shower head up again needs dusting a lot of Cobwebs and spiders . We didn’t eat at the property as we found a lovely Pub called Cassidys And they love dogs even gave her a cream bowl with treats she was very happy 😄It was very exspensive to stay here .I would only rate this as a 2Star 😫
It was wonderful. 5 minutes walk to everything in Clonakilty. Breakfast was fantastic. Aoife and David were the best. Both so welcoming, definitely recommend Nordav.
Nothing. Perfect.
Aoife was warmly welcoming and ever-available throughout our stay. She offered excellent recommendations for dining and entertainment. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious each day.
We made our decision to stay here based on photos posted on Booking.com. The photos of the outdoor spaces were especially enticing. However, it seems these photos were taken a number of years ago as the outdoor spaces and landscaping now need extensive repair and/or replacement. The rest of our experience was top notch, but the exterior photos are misleading.
We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived and shown to our excellent accommodation. The whole experience was very nice including a very tasty breakfast in the morning. We will definitely be coming back.
Nothing
Aoife was a lovely host, very friendly and kind. The house is walking distance to the town. Breakfast outside in the sun was lovely.
Felt a bit close to home at times, didn't want to to wake others or get in the way of other guests.
Comfortabele kamer.
Location, off street parking, separate living space within room, beautiful breakfast and friendly staff.
Room was upstairs without a lift.
Very friendly owner and staff. Ideal location and very easy to get to all the amenities.
Just a pity there wasn't more parking inside the gate of the property as we had to park close to the hard shoulder on the road outside.
Ontbijt en de kamer

Lovely friendly service.
Amazing breakfast. One of the best I have had . Beautiful bone china The most comfortable, tasteful room .
Nothing
Super breakfast, attentive host, a lovely family home
Would have liked to parked within the property
Great location. Walking distance to the main street. The room was very nicely arranged. The bed was very comfortable. We had a kitchenette with bar seating which was nice for having our self made breakfast. Everything was very clean. Our host was very friendly. She even offered to arrange to get me a hair dryer somewhere, which I declined for just the unnecessary effort.
The house is very noisy. We could hear every move from upstairs up to the last drop going into the toilet. I am not a fan of no door showers, but that seems to be the new thing in many places. While it was a nice place, I think it was overpriced, but that's all we could find on short notice.
This guest house is just stunning, From the location to the rooms and the beautiful Aoifa who couldn't make us feel more welcome, thanks again from the Derry boys.
We didn't have our own transport once we got to the guest house, it was within walking distance of all restaurants, shops, bars and tourist attractions. As I am not able to walk long distances this was ideal. The room we stayed I had a small kitchenette and was on the ground floor. The breakfast was amazing and we were able to choose the time and to eat in our room. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
There weren't any cutlery, cups, plates or glasses so had to ask for them. This was surprising as the room had a kitchenette.
Aoife is a fantastic host. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, especially the fresh bread baked in house. Comfortable bed. Superb location to local amenities.
Having to choose a breakfast time the day before and eat at the coffee table isn't idea,l but this is just a minor grumble
Slept like a log nice quite area but still in the town

Nicely appointed room . Excellent breakfast, very conveniently located
Location Clean bed linen and towels
Photos did not reflect the place as it is today. We were told when we could have breakfast which was an hour after we had asked for. We were served breakfast at a coffee table and their dog allowed to come in the room. Dirty bathroom.
Ras
very frendly staff and owner, amazing breakfast, clean and modern rooms. Everything was amazing. Thank you!
Wonderful breakfast and Aoife was a wonderful host. Well looked after and would recommend.
Everything was perfect
Super friendly, lovely hosts very accommodating and laid back. Facilities were great with lots of space.
Nothing to add.
Molto bella casa e giardino. Stanza non grandissima ma ok pulizia
I travelled along the south coast of Ireland with my partner for eight days, spending each night in a different accommodation, and this was certainly one of the best of the whole trip. The location is very convenient and the house itself is beautiful, with a delightful retro atmosphere. The owner herself was always very kind and made us really feel at home (she even proposed to book for us a restaurant nearby to give support with English...). The breakfast she prepared for us the following morning was restaurant quality and very rich. Conclusion: excellent value for money, definitely a place not to miss if staying in clonakilty for a night.
Good location very clean and comfortable with lots of space in bedroom and anteroom linked to it. Lovely breakfast with options on offer.
