The room I stayed in had a window that I couldn’t open due to birds being outside being noisy. The shower was freezing cold, I ran the shower for 10 minutes and it didn’t warm up.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Stayed a couple of times with our dogs. Staff are lovely. Travelled myself with 1 dog last time. I was able to bring the dog into the bar for food in the evening and breakfast the next day. The food was great. Room was very comfortable. Comfy bed, spotless bedding

The hotel is an old fashioned ( in a good way ) country establishment. The breakfast was very good. We had dinner, twice. Very good. Staff were great.

The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and lots of little touches added to make it a very enjoyable stay. Room had a microwave and fridge which came in handy. The staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was lovely and had dinner there one evening which was also great quality. There is lovely seating and lobby areas on each floor. Had a great stay will return hopefully in the near future.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Il personale super accogliente la struttura è un po’ datata, ma non manca nulla, per noi è stata una sosta tra una località e l’altra però nel paesino ci sono molti pub tra l’altro e lo stesso albergo un ristorante pub quindi potete tranquillamente cenare lì. Colazione buona si può scegliere tra più varianti. Si sceglie da menu e si può assaggiare la classica colazione irlandese e anche cornetti o i classici scones(da provare).

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Had a such lovely room with a small balcony as booked and considering it's right in the centre of the town much quieter than I expected. Contacted the hotel a few days before arriving asking as much as possible for a quiet room very quick response too. Charming old world hotel a lovely guest sitting room on the floor with big comfortable seats. Great breakfast had something different from the menu over the 3 mornings plenty of choice. Definitely will return and great value for money.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026The facilities in our spacious apartment were extraordinary, and the staff (reception and breakfast) tremendously and genuinely friendly and helpful. We were even invited in to a live folk music jam in the evening — a rare blessing!
Some not-so-fresh (slightly mouldy) smells here and there, perhaps due to the age of the building's plumbing. Not disturbing enough to put us off, as other aspects were so good. Food was fairly good but not exceptional.

The markets were on when we were there (Thurs & fri). The village is so clean and bustling with life, and ODonovans is in the heart.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026What a fabulous place to stay. A warm welcome after our long trip from Wales. The town is fantastic and everything is close by. I’d already researched the pubs with live music I wanted to visit. 2 fantastic ones less than a minutes walk away. A very comfortable room, and bed. Would definitely stay here next time we visit

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Location is good for exploring the town. Property has a lot of history displayed around the building, and we appreciated learning some history. Room was good size and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was also quite satisfying.
Fortunately we stayed over a holiday and so parking on the street was free. Only eight dedicated parking spots behind the hotel on a first come first served basis which is not enough for the hotel when busy.
