Way to location is slightly far from main market but if you have own car or cab then no issue in commuting. (Experienced driver needed on hilly areas)

Location and hospitality

The view from the property was surreal. It was quiet and you could hear birds chirping. You get the Kanchanjunga view from the balcony. They also arranged a cake for us for the New year celebration.

They charged us extra for the heater when it was already included in the booking. The property was very far from the cuty center, the taxi charged us 600 to reach the place

This homestay is perfect for a family vacation. The rooms are comfortable, the balcony, the owner is welcoming, and the breathtaking view is a delight. My absolute favorite part is the street cat named Ginger. The location is sheltered from city crowds and traffic noise, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts. Mrs. Bhagwati's cooking adds a comforting touch to the stay. To reach the homestay and other nearby tourist attractions, you'll need to take a cab. Plan to stay for 2-3 days to fully enjoy the peaceful environment, delicious food, and quality time with Ginger. If you visit, please say hi to Ginger for me.

The Pinewood Homestay was away from the hustle and bustle of the city . The view was phenomenal. The hospitality of the host was good . Excellent home cooked food by the host .

Property is situated at a breathtaking location. You open the door and the view is a treat to your eyes.

The property was situated at a beautiful location, peaceful and away from the din and bustle of Darjeeling. The views were amazing. The host, Rajwati aunty, was so warm and welcoming! After a tiring day of sightseeing, hot and homely food served by her tasted heavenly! Also, another best part of our stay was the unexpected and sudden visit of Mr. Ginger, the gorgeous cat who got really cosy with us. My parents loved the stay and I couldn’t be happier!

Well furnished new property with very friendly host (mrs. Bhagwati). A definitely recommend property by anyone who wants a peaceful stay just 5kms outside the bussle of the city with the view of the himalayas and night lights. Enjoyed the stay alot.

The host was amazing. The view from the balcony was mesmerizing . So we wanted to have our food at balcony, though there was option of having it inside the house on dinner table. They readily served the at balcony though they need to make couple of rounds up and down to bring the food and the food was served piping hot. The food was simple and delicious. Both veg and non veg options were available. Not to mention the tea served was so refreshing. Our stay was short ; just a night. We yearn to come back again and stay for more days so that we can try more of local cuisine and meet locals and explore more Definitely a worth stay
