Bloomfield Farm and Eco Resort is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you leave. I honestly don’t know if I have ever felt such complete peace, calm, and contentment anywhere. And the FOOD!!! I have never eaten better. Fresh from the garden, beautifully and exceptionally prepared, and absolutely delicious. I had at least three servings at every meal and would have happily kept going! You can taste the freshness, care, and love in every bite. The entire property feels pure: fresh air, beautiful nature, quiet, kindness, and a sense that the rest of the world has simply disappeared. It is paradise. As a 60-year-old woman traveling alone, I felt completely comfortable from the moment I arrived. Arun has such a strong, quiet, gentle presence that immediately put me at ease. His warmth and kindness are genuine, never forced, and perfectly reflect the spirit of this special place. I didn’t just enjoy Bloomfield. I felt restored by it. I am already planning to return with friends in March, and I am seriously hoping to stay for an entire month next time—to slow down, breathe deeply, eat that incredible food, and let the noise of the world simply melt away. An unforgettable place. An unforgettable experience. Pure paradise. ❤️
Nothing
Beautiful property nested in greenery, taken care of by the warm host, Mr.Arun. He was super diligent in seeing to all our needs, he even arranged driver for all three days of our stay. All through our stay, we had healthy and delicious food. My parents preferred to always head back for dinner as they loved the food prepared here. The property has lovely plants, well maintained garden and is surrounded by trees. It was truly beautiful. My mother went on to say that staying here was the best part of our trip to Darjeeling. Would recommend this place 10/10 for anyone planning a trip to Darjeeling.
The approach to the property can be improved.
Extremely helpful staff. We had to leave a day earlier and they modified the dates to help us out with their own initiative. Saved us a full day's cost. Never experienced this kind of hospitality even in fancy places like Sinclair's and Mayflowers. Not to mention the perfect view of the Kanchenjunga peak from the hotel.
Loved everyrhing
I like the serenity and calmness of the place. The food served here are amazing , host were too good . The rooms or we can say little bunglow were spacious, hygienic and well maintained . One of the staff named Harimaya Chettru is so courteous and professional and always helpful for everything. I would definitely like to visit again here.
Everything is good here
Serene location. Simple but quality food.
Owner hadn't displayed prominent board near hotel and on the way. Not very easy to find out or tress the location. It takes a bit of a walk (uphill) to reach the hotel from the vehicle. It can be a hassle for very senior citizens.
I like how peaceful it is at the property and at the same time I don't feel alone as there are plenty of people to meet in the dining hall and have great conversations.

Great experience, satisfied with food and hospitality and feels like family.
Merveilleux endroit

The property was beautiful! Arun was an awesome host. We showed us a shortcut to town. It’s a 6km walk through villages with the most beautiful views. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend getting breakfast included, we had a home cooked Indian breakfast every morning. We ate dinner here sometimes too and the food was just as good. The room was very cosy and comfortable. So many blankets were provided and we even had an electric blanket, I was never cold!
Nothing!
The cleanliness and the behavior of the host.
A small room heater, hair dryer is a must for wet weather. People with knee pain will have hard time to reach the resort and back from where the car drops.
Bloomfield is very peaceful and the staff are very cooperative. The food was very good and felt like homemade food.
Very spacious room. Nice breeze at night. Quiet I could sleep so well!
Location is excellent, in the middle of the Tea Estate. Quite & Serene. Rooms are quite big & comfortable with Electric Heated Mattresses
Beautiful farm, with bountiful vegetable terraces, orchids and gardens, forest and mountain views, great hosts and great food.
Nothing really to complain about, though be sure to pack warm clothes if you are travelling in the mountains during colder seasons! Night time can be quite cold even in spring.
Beautiful place to disconnect, most welcoming staff ever and spectaculaire view
Hard to reach, not all taxis want to go
Room ,cleaning, location
The Room was very clean, and staff were very friendly. A simple dinner meal comprising of 2 veg curries and 1 dal along with rice and chapatti which was freshly cooked was very satisfying. We had an early check out at 6 am, the support staff was very helpful and ensured a smooth and timely checkout and also prepared some tea and coffee for us before we checked out. They had an electric warmer installed on the bed which made the sleep quite comfortable.
The approach road to reach the hotel is slightly difficult when travelling with senior citizens. However, it's beyond their control. It can shock you the first time, when you reach the hotel, however the second day it was easier as you know what's expected.
Simple yet comfortable with all basic needs satisfied
Nothing that i didnt like à
Breakfast was very good and so was dinner and lunch. But one has to climb up and down quite a few steps for reaching property from road.
Both the toilet and room need improvement.
The views were amazing from your room. It was in a quiet location.
For the price that you pay( which is pretty high in comparison ) there should be a source of heating the rooms. You only have a heated blanket making it unbearable to be in the bathroom or anywhere out of the bed. Also, the room you take your meals in needs some source of heat. You have to be in your jacket shaking while you eat. The biggest disappointment was the behavior of the owner. He should watch how he speaks to solo female travelers. Completely inappropriate comments making me feel soooo uncomfortable. Absolutely unacceptable.
Das Hotel liegt etwas weiter weg und talwärts von Darjeeling. Wenn man die Ruhe sucht, ist es genau richtig. Nach Darjeeling zu Fuss gibt es Short Cuts. Einfach den Besitzer fragen.
Its located in a bit offbeat location . The balcony offers stunning views . Good if you want to experience some quietness away from bustle of darjeeling mall
No heater
We enjoyed the quiet and serenity at this homestay about a 75 minute walk just outside of Darjeeling. The staff were very attentive. The views of the mountains and valley were lovely. We discovered a number of trails nearby to hike in the tea plantations which was fun. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended our stay an extra three days. We had great views from our window.
The shower in our room didn't work very well. It was very difficult to control the heat when using the shower head.
I really enjoyed my 5 days at Bloomfield Eco Resort as a female solo traveller I felt immediately at peace and safe. The Farmhouse is in a quiet location, after the business of Delhi, Mumbai and other cities this was the perfect stay to wind down before heading home. Darjeeling has lots to do to keep you occupied. Bloomfield is located amongst the tea fields and forests, this suited me well and I did not mind the walk to the main road. The quiet and unpolluted surroundings provided clear views of Kanchenjunga. Arun the manager was at-tentative to everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and relaxed from organising a Driver (Chetan) to meals at the times I needed them. Arun showed me local walks that I would not have found on my own. The meals were delicious and made with local produce. I ate breakfast and dinner there most days and enjoyed the simple variety.
I liked everything about Bloomfield.
The property is very good and our stay was comfortable. The staff is also good, warm and welcoming.
The road leading to the location is under construction and is not very easy to walk.
The peace.the silence attract me

Beautiful and quiet location. Tasty and varied food provided for breakfast and booked for dinner.
Cold rooms ( in December) and very firm mattress. It was a long way downhill from the main road into Darjeerling, which made it fairly dependent on a car/taxi to get into town.
The location was exceptional, beautiful views and an amazing cultivated garden. Without exception all the staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. They made us feel part of the family. The meals were exceptional, freshly cooked with produce from their own land and each day we had a beautifully different menu. We wholeheartedly recommend the Bloomfield Farm and Eco Resort. The staff and the venue made for a perfect stay.
There was NOTHING we did not like. Everything was perfect.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful, it was very clean, provided heated blankets on beds, and the food was very good!
The only negative could also be a positive. The property is not in Darjeeling town. It’s a 45-60 minute walk uphill to get to town. I don’t think this is a reason not to book it! The owner is very quick and helpful with arranging affordable rides to and from town. And because it is in the country side it’s quiet and clean. A beautiful and peaceful place!! You can even walk to a tea garden and a waterfall!
La disponibilité du personnel et le lieu
Un peu éloigné de la ville
Breakfast and diner were excellent. We had a fantastic view of mount Kangchenjunga right from our window. Arun, the manager made our stay in Darjeeling very enjoyable. He took care of finding very good guides for us and was very kind and helpful. A wonderful, quiet and peaceful place to stay.
Beautiful spot with amazing views from the front rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, we hired scooters and used the taxi from the hotel to get into town and back. Amazing experience all in all
Nothing
As we had imagined, this is a beautiful place to enjoy the natural environment and the home food prepared by people who care. They are very friendly and are always ready to address any needs, whether it is food or transportation. One can freely move around the property and enjoy the greenery and peaceful surroundings, including the Kanchenjunga ranges. On the whole, it is an unforgettable experience.
Compared to all the positives, the negatives are insignificant. The signage to the farm could be better, especially considering the fact that there is no proper pathway leading to the farmhouse and one has to walk through some steps through the local settlement. We felt cold in the room, especially as we are from a hot and humid place. The water from the faucet of the wash basin is freezing cold.
L’emplacement avec la vue exceptionnelle sur le Kangchenjunga et la gentillesse des hôtes
We were warmly welcomed by the team at Bloomfield and treated to a fantastic dinner made from fresh produce from their beautiful garden. The rooms and beds were huge and very comfortable. The place is a little outside the city but the team called a taxi for us and also arranged a taxi to NJP station when we checked out. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There was a kettle with tea in the room so we could keep ourselves topped up. Our host took us on a walk around their garden and showed us the surrounding tea gardens. Everything came with a warm smile and hospitality. Arun was a fantastic host. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
Everything was great
Le cadre merveilleux et la gentillesse de nos hotes
Just wow. The property was everything we had hoped for. Location was peaceful, staff wonderful and accommodating- honestly they had a ‘fix’ for everything. Breakfast and supper were delicious and they had good coffee. The room was really nice with a thoughtful amount of storage and usable surfaces. The terrace was a wonderful bonus. The views were to die for. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
Not much to moan about- but if pushed I would point out that there is little soundproofing between the rooms so please be courteous. A squeegee for the bathroom floor would have made things a little less hazardous. The property is a bit out of town you will need to hire a motorbike for a couple of days - or avail your self of the taxis services you are offered.
I recently stayed at Bloomfield Farmhouse & Eco-Resort and it was one of the most peaceful and memorable getaways I’ve had. Nestled amid the serene tea gardens on Bloomfield Road, the place offers a perfect escape from the bustle of Darjeeling town. The views of the Kanchenjunga range are simply breathtaking, and the lush green surroundings create a truly tranquil atmosphere—ideal for nature lovers and anyone looking to disconnect for a while. Our room was spacious, clean, and incredibly cozy. The bed heater was a blessing in the chilly weather. What stood out most was the warmth and attentiveness of the hosts and staff. They made us feel like family, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and helping with anything we needed. The food was another highlight—home-style meals made with ingredients from their own garden. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and full of local flavour. The location is a bit away from the town centre and there's a bit of a climb from the parking area, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. That said, I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful, nature-filled stay with stunning views and genuine hospitality.
In a harmony with nature in an eco farm with fantastic food and a wonderful host.
Endroit charmant dans la nature et personnel à l'écoute
Un peu éloigné
La gentillesse du personnel, la qualité des repas et le calme du lieu.
C'était un peu excentré, mais le gérant organise facilement les trajets.
Good stay, good staff but a bit far from town
Great location - only the climb down and up from the road for Sr citizens is a challenge
In a short term, it was an excellent experience, the hosts are so helpful that I can not explain. One of the best resort we ever stayed. The view of Kanchenjunga was absolutely clear from the hotel balcony. The homecooked foods were always fresh & delicious.
Nothing really, except the approach road which is bit difficult for the senior citizens and the kids.
Friendly staff, location, food.
the entry to the resort
Krishna and others were warm and friendly hosts. They got us healthy and tasty food. The location was picturesque with clouds flowing near us.
The common washroom near the garden bridge was stinking. So we had to go to our room to attend nature's call. The property doesn't provide lunch. But since we were out touring the city in daytime, it wasn't a problem for us.
View from the room was awesome.
Location and weather with silences and piece and staff attitudes .

Beautiful place on the slope of a hill to enjoy in the midst of Nature .They are very cordial .The gardens are nice ,and I watched Kiwi fruits in the garden. I enjoyed it a lot.
We visited in May 17-19th in 2025 . Unfortunately, the weather was a little foggy, raining frequently.Place being little outskirt ,little difficult to reach without hiring vehicle..not found public transport, but again natural beauty is super
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great home cooking food Clean and comfortable rooms
We would have appreciated a bit more local information on available sights, times and routes
Everything!! Wonderful place to be
Location, room, bathroom, balcony
View from room window
Entire property is very good and closest to nature
Approach from car park to property , lil difficult for senior citizens and kids
A beautiful property so calm and quiet yet so close to the bustle of Darjeeling. It’s an oasis. The owners and staff are so friendly and couldn’t be more welcoming. As soon as I arrived I felt like an old friend who had stayed here many times before. Delicious fresh food everyday. Meeting many of the guest who gather around the fire every night.
I found the bed very hard.
Pleasant farm house, away from the noice of the main Darjeeling street. We felt here comfortable
The farmhouse location is awesome. Perfect location for vacation with family.
Arran, panda and the staff plus Chetan were wonderful hosts providing organic food from their beautiful, vegi patch. We were u well when we arrived and the family cared very beautifully for us. We were very grateful for their warmth and care. The dinner and breakfasts were always fresh and delicious as well.
I chose to stay at the Bloomfield Farmhouse based on the reviews, it exceeded my expectations...and they were so right. The peaceful setting was just what I was looking for. Nightly bonfires, great food and incredible staff quickly moved it to the best place I have stayed during my travels in India. I definitely will come back
I can't think of one thing I would change
We loved the serene environment. We woke up to birdsong everyday and the view of hills in the distance. The surroundings are very green. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Mr. Arun and Mr. Rajiv Rai are thorough gentlemen and very helpful. Arrangements for cars to visit nearby places could be made from here. The food was excellent. The rooms are equipped with blanket warmers for chilly nights and also electric kettles. So tea and coffee lovers can have a cuppa whenever they like. Basking in the winter sunshine on the terrace adjoining our room was lovely.
The toilet did not have a shelf to keep toiletries. It was a little small for a three bedded room. One has to go down a flight of steps from the main road to reach Bloomfield. This poses a problem for those with bad knees or for senior citizens.
By far, Bloomfield EcoFarm is your best option when seeking to stay in a safe, quiet, and serene place. The place offers you clean, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Above all, it's the family like atmosphere that makes your stay enjoyable! The staff at Boomfield Eco is totally committed to your having a memorable experience. I loved my stay at Eco, as you can see. Spending much time on the road, you learn to appreciate the bonuses, only the best offer. A bonfire to warm up the crisp nights and a place to socialize with fellow travelers, an early hike through the mysteries of EcoFarm and its surroundings, and help when you get stuck in town with no available taxis. These are just little examples to show how committed these people are! Thank you, Milan, for making the reservation process such a personalized easy one. Krishna (the madter cook), Shrijana, prianka, and Pragya for your company, excellent food and cleanliness of the place. Panda, thank you for the entertainment: the lovely hike in the morning, the laughter, and the stories you shared. Anil and Nayan for the lovely organic garden, which yields the vegetables served to our plates. Those who appreciate farm to table, it's for you. And last but not least, Arun, for orchestrating this wonderful symphony. For your sensitivity and concern. I heard the guests were calling you 'The fixer', the one who is able to find a solution wherever needed. But I have seen you with my own eyes helping a couple go down the stairs after having one too many beers in town:-) Thank you all for taking care of the environment
Absolutely nothing, but one should know it's out of town. It's either you walk or get a taxi to Dali Fatak (junction).
The staff here are amazing, they are so welcoming! They helped set up tours and with Mr Panda i got to explore the local town and learn so much about the area. Chetan the driver is very friendly, can take you on some awesome tours and can do pick ups and drop offs from bagdogra airport for a good price. The food was super tasty and a great price. The campfire each night was really nice to meet others staying there. The area was very peaceful and beautiful. The views whether its completly clear or not are amazing and i was lucky to get a clear day to see the kachugunga range. Was my favourite place i stayed in 2 months in India!
Make sure you let the hot water heat up for a good 30min and watch out for power outages. Otherwise the place is a bit far from town but its a farm stay so its best to chill and relax near it. If your going to town the staff are super helpful at arranging ways to get there walking or by shared cars.
It was a fantastic experience. It felt like staying with family in a peaceful rural setting. The vibe was so relaxing leaving the chaos behind. The food was home cooked and delicious and the hikes from.here with Panda were wonderful. Chetan the driver took us to all.the sights and is a careful driver. The room is basic but comfortable with a great sitting area to enjoy the view. The entire property is spotless and clean unlike most of India
Nothing all good
The farmhouse we stayed at had a phenomenal mountain view—the perfect place to find peace in nature. After sunset, Aroon lights a fire pit where guests, family, and neighbors gather to warm up and enjoy great conversations. Aroon treated us to a splendid home-cooked meal. We arrived after 9 PM, and he welcomed us with local tea and dinner. Every morning, breakfast was delicious, and even when I requested a special dish, he happily prepared it for us. All activities are easily accessible by taxi, and the farmhouse is just 15 minutes from Darjeeling train station. Enjoy a ride on the toy train, visit Mall Road, and explore the beautiful tea fields. Shedup Choephelling Temple is right behind the farmhouse, three minutes walks. Mussoorie is about two and a half hours from the airport. Truly the perfect place!
Access to the farmhouse is a bit steep downhill. There is a long set of stairs, making it slightly challenging to reach the cabins, but it adds a touch of adventure to the experience
The rooms are large and clean with nice views. An electric blanket on the bed made the cold evenings better. The food was great but the hosts are the best, they looked after us so well. The location is quiet and away from the main centre of Darjeeling.
You had to walk down step and a lane to get to the property but the hosts carried our bags.
The staff were kind, helpful, fun and educated.the grounds were peaceful, cared for and refreshing compared to the chaos of Darjeeling. The food was filling and varied. Tea was always on offer as were hot water bottles!
It was not the fault of Bloomfield that the sky was made up of thick mist to the tops of trees but this and the cold spoilt the stay. The room was cold even with a heater. Worst of all was trying to enjoy the delicious food while shivering in three layers
Location and well cultured staff
Thank you very much for the wonderful service.
The food, the staff and the surrounding
One needs to climb up/down nearly 60 stairs to reach the property, not suitable for elderly
Really nice local place to stay! Beautiful views of the mountains. All the staff are wonderful. Everything was clean. Rooms are simple but spacious. The food (we got breakfast and dinners) was delicious, healthy, and homemade. Milan, Panda, and Chetan were all fabulous hosts!
Not the most comfortable place especially in winter since there is no heating in the rooms and it gets very cold. Also, this isn't the best place to stay if you want to explore Darjeeling town itself, since it's a bit far from the town. The road to the homestay is bad, so local taxi drivers won't want to pick you up or drop you off there.
Atmosphere , location , hospitality
Facility, Professionalism are required to improve L
Our stay at this property was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their behavior and professionalism were top-notch, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. One of the standout aspects of our trip was the driver provided by the hotel, Sonam ji. Not only was he an excellent driver, but he also became more of a guide for us. His local knowledge and friendly demeanor added so much value to our travels. He made sure we experienced the best of the area, turning our journey into unforgettable memories. If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend requesting Sonam ji as your guide—he truly made our trip exceptional! The property itself was stunning, offering both comfort and beauty. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully catered to, making this a trip we will cherish forever. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary experience!
The farmhouse was one of the best stays on our trip. Nothing is too much bother for Arjun and his band of helpers. We had marshmallows by the bonfire, amazing food and a fabulous view of Kanchenjunga from our balcony. My family and I would love to come back again.
Very beautiful and cosy place with astonishing views of kanchenjunga Himalayan peak from the property. Host and staff make you feel at home and serve you with love and dedication. This place is a bliss.
Access road to the property is a bit treacherous( but that is no surprise in hilly terrain)
Clean, quiet and peaceful farm stay. Owned and operated by an exceptionally warm and welcoming family of brothers, sisters and cousins who are dedicated to sustainable and eco-conscious tourism. Delicious home cooked meals and friendly conversations by the fire. Beautiful views of Orange Valley and on a clear day of Kangchenjunga mountain. An hour’s walk into central Darjeeling, or a short collective taxi ride. Truly a unique experience. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Serene location.. spacious room .. bed heater was so comfy … Dining place is so good.. can see the snow peak when we walk through their backyard.. Bon fire was excellent .. Had a gr8 conversation with other guests .. Hosts were really good… They arranged vehicle for the sight seeing as well as to the airport with nominal rates and a friendly driver .. You get authentic food here .. Home stay food ..
Drive to the place .. experienced driver required ..
It is the best getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Stunning views of the Kanchenjunga from the property itself. Must visit i would say . I had a wonderful experience with my family. Everyone here is very friendly.
