Reviewed Aug 31, 2026The place was spotless,imnaculate condition and most beautiful views.It was absolutely peaceful, sp tranquil all through the day and night.the house had everything we needed and was so cozy ,spacious,comfortable and so well done and kept.everything was convenient.it was the most relaxing stay I ever had and will definitely recommend and revisit this unit and will hopefully try the other units in this portfolio. Thank you! The host was pleasant and very helpful.

Much as I only realised later that the key for the 4 sleeper is behind the door. We arrived very later and could not access the 4 sleeper and only used it the following day. We were only 6 and could not bring other family members because we had a funeral and the propoerty could not accommodate our request to postpone to a later date.

Did not have a coffee plunger. Also the house is as really noisy at night. The braai fell open at 11pm and woke up the house. The manhole was also open which caused a draft.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Well-equipped house with excellent facilities, DSTV, full kitchen, braai and fireplace. Beautiful views of the mountains and Clarens village, and the surrounding golf course. Electric blankets and AC in all the rooms ensured a good night's rest.
Wifi was off due to service provider problem, host came out immediately to investigate, but it wasn't an issue for us. DSTV worked.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026Stayed in Unit 208. One of the best stay. Close to shops and restaurants (Approx 1-2min drive). Unit got Solar power. No issues with water when we stayed, when the city was having no water. Nice location.

We booked the 4 and 3 bed villas as we were a large group of 14 people celebrating 2 x 40th birthdays and we were told that the two houses were around 90m apart, however, they were more than 1.2km apart and they were also not walkable and we had to drive between the two houses which was really not ideal. We would not have booked here had we known that.

Lots of space to spread out and lot of space for entertaining, with very comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms and brilliant pressure in the showers. The open veranda has amazing views over the mountains and towards the town of Clarens which offers a really relaxing atmosphere. It's safe and secure in the golf estate but only a stones throw to Clarens and the nature reserve. Really lovely house that you can see is a well loved holiday home!
Having stayed in quite a lot of self-catering accommodation around the world including SA, it was a pity some of the usual self-catering elements were missing, such as a complementary and basic supply of tea, coffee, salt and pepper in the kitchen and hand soap and basic toiletries in the bathroom. Besides toilet paper and washing up liquid, there was very little else in the house and a basic kitchen fit out meant if you were planning to cook you'd need to bring quite a bit with you. Only one hand towel per bathroom and wire hangers could get tricky if you were staying more than a few days. The TV offering is both satellite and smart but DSTV had a poor signal meaning there is a constant buzzing with the audio

Reviewed Dec 14, 2025What a magnificent property, which was spotlessly clean and impeccably decorated. Beds were comfortable and cosy with good bed linen and heated blankets for the chilly evenings. Bathrooms were equipped with laundry baskets and kitchen had a dishwasher . The views from the property were beautiful with the backdrop of the mountain range. A peaceful and beautiful location for a relaxing vacation.
The bathrooms should have soap dispensers as the soap provided finishes very quickly due to the hard water.

Only suggestion would be to have towels replaced more frequently, to only have it on the 3rd day is not ideal.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2025it was self catering, if I could fault. but being a cater I am very aware of Chipped plates, unmatched plates and cutlery. this is just me.. no one else noticed. on booking I said we had a physically challenged person. It was impossible for my mom to shower. the step into shower was far to high. so when they do a revamp make 1 shower with a flat entrance so that it is easy for a physically challenged person (1 leg) to be able to be wheeled into the shower. the shower must have a hand held shower too.

Rooms with a bathtub and a shower. The kitchen have everything 😍. Owner is very quick to respond and assist. We were also provided with an iron. We will surely come back again when we decide to go to Clarens.
