The location, the people, the service, and the options for things to do. They made sure everything is comfortable and that we get the best experience

Only thing is about the shower, and a little expensive compared to other places, but still really worth the value.

The view was incredible, the staff were so accommodating and the Inn was very clean.

A place to sit and relax would have made the terrace even better - they did have one hammock but a couple more would have been nice!

The location is right in the middle of the UNESCO Batad rice terraces. Picturesque view. It’s very clean and the staff are nice. Rooms are decently comfortable. Really great hiking to the waterfall and thru the rice terraces and village.

We booked 3 nights but only stayed 2 nights because there was no WiFi for my boyfriend to stay connected to his work. The WiFi only worked the first night. It was out the whole next day and night and into the following day. And we couldn’t go another night and day with no signal. They didn’t offer to give us a refund for the 3rd night. So we lost that money. The room would’ve been more comfortable with some sort of storage to unpack your things.

Beautiful Rice Terraces View … when you open your room window. Host Nisha , Josephine and staff are all accomodating. First accomodation near the carpark. The trekking tour if the rice terraces and waterfalls are all worth it. Amazing experience!

Flies during harvest season ( can’t help it). Open glass wall … not safe!

Small but the bathroom was crowded in the morning. However, they did have signage that another option was available. I just waited. Like I said, very small

Josephine the host and all the other staff were incredibly friendly. Very helpful booking transport and guides for hikes. The food was great, and the decor of the hotel is perfect. The views were spectacular.

We booked an overnight stay here, but it was not mentioned in the description that reaching the property requires around a 20-minute hike uphill. Our elderly companion with asthma had a very difficult time getting to the location. If this had been clearly indicated beforehand, we probably would not have booked this place. There is also no cellphone signal in the area, and Wi-Fi is not free, so guests are limited to the property’s paid internet access. We bought 3, 12 hour voucher for internet and we were given only 3 hours. It was only corrected when we checked out. The food is quite overpriced as well. Another downside is the lack of a proper hot shower. We had to endure very cold water in the morning, which was especially uncomfortable given the weather. That said, the view is beautiful and the host was kind and accommodating. It would just be helpful if the Booking.com listing clearly stated that the place is more suitable for backpackers and is not elderly-friendly.

Really loved this place. 10 for the staff: The staff was really awesome! So friendly and always happy (to help). 10 for the view! Probably best view in town and you dont have to walk down to the village. The food is good but the portions are a bit small for big guys. Atmosphere is nice, but add some more hammocks and other chill places to make it excellent

There's only one bathroom/toilet for 5 rooms, which sometimes feels not enough. In busy hours you can use the other bathroom downstairs. The bed is Asian standard, but for us Dutch a bit small (140?) and short (190?).

Nisia & everyone at countryside inn were amazing - so helpful in helping us to organise our trip. The space is beautiful - we ended up staying an extra night to soak up the calm beautiful vibes.

This hotel has the best view, delicious food and very kind and helpful staff. But what we loved the most was our guided tour! We were a bit reluctant on hiring a guide, thinking we could simply hike ourselves. Then we met Ramses and Sarah, two friendly locals who not only took us to a breathtaking viewpoint no one talks about, but also shared so many stories about Batad, and even cooked hand-picked vegetables for us! We also learned to pound rice and took it home. It really felt like being with friends, we felt so lucky! If you want an unforgettable local experience, make sure to ask about them. We will cherish this experience forever!

Our room had a door facing outside with a large space at the bottom and the top, so we had a few insects in the room. It could be nice to replace it with a full door to avoid this. Other than that, everything is very clean and comfy.

The whole property, the staff was very kind and helpful. I recommend this beautiful place in Batad.

No air movement in the room

The team is wonderful, they made everything to make our stay easy and enjoyable, from the pick up at Banaue to the tours in the terraces and to the falls. Then, obviously, there is THE VIEW. It is stunning at every glance. It’s beautiful. The efforts the inhabitants put into the preservation of the multi centennial knowledge are humbling and they are to be praised. So don’t hesitate and treat yourself with the best gift (plus the food is delicious).

The property is located overlooking the terraces. You will have the view while sleeping, eating or just hanging out. Generous comfortable pillows. We had 3 each. The hot Nisha has been really excellent catering to our needs. There’s 8 of us. A Bit chaotic and all over the place but they have been very patient. Eric, our driver and tour guide was a cherry on top. My Aunt struggled to finish the Batad your but he took time and waited and helped pull her until she is back in the property, even under the rain. The property kindly provided 5 big sturdy umbrellas during the rain. The communication and information provided before the check in has been very clear and timely. So happy I changed my booking to this property.

Shower pressure has been low but otherwise everything is just into our liking and convenience

Fantastic place to stay in Batad. Views are incredible. Lovely and helpful staff. Millen is very friendly and funny 😀 Good menu choices and delicious food and shakes. They help organise transport from Banaue and local guides, which was all great. Excellent value for money. Thanks everyone.

Everything good

Our Family Room had its own private toilet and shower, a luxury in the whole area of Batad! It had amazing views of the rice terraces, was huge with 3 double beds and located on the ground floor. If you have a chance to book it even if you are a solo traveller or a couple, go for it. Nisha the owner arranged our transfers, our tours and guide and massage. All were of good value. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and efficient. Thank you to our guide Darwin, our masseuse Josephine, and Millen at reception. The Inn has a little shop at the reception area that sells souvenirs, toiletries, snacks and most importantly, imported chocolate like Hershey bars, Mars and Kitkats which was a treat for someone with a sweet tooth. I liked that it was also the one closest to the road and had a restaurant onsite. Overall, for us, it's the best choice to stay in when in Batad, it provided us with the creature comforts in an area that is beautifully rural and quite remote.

Clean, authentic, peaceful and comfortable with delicious food and homey vibes. This was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Nisha, Josephine and the staff made us feel very welcome. Great massage by Josephine. The hike they arranged for us was awesome with a local Ifugao guide who told us a lot about the indigenous culture. Would highly recommend staying here if you enjoy quiet places in nature- the best stay of our trip so far!

De ligging en het personeel was erg vriendelijk.

Geen idee. Voor het gebied waar het ligt kun je niet alles verwachten.

Personnel super gentil, possibilité de réserver des tours dans les rizières avec Éric, ainsi que les transferts vers la gare routière. Le restaurant est très bon et la vue sur les rizières est sublime.

Vue splendide et bons petits déjeuners. Repas corrects aussi. Cependant les chambres sont très très simples et les toilettes sont communes. Personnel très serviable et bon massage. Après le rapport qualité prix est très correct.

Come for the views, stay for the hospitality. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Good attention to the shared bathrooms as they were clean for the duration of our stay. Strong value offering.

Light sleepers will want to bring ear plus as there is little soundproofing from neighbors (humans and animals).

Vista meravigliosa. Cibo ottimo, la titolare e la sua famiglia sono accoglienti e disponibili, organizzano tutte le attività e i servizi necessari. C'è anche un' amaca su cui riposare dopo il trekking.

Niente, ma bisogna essere in forma fisicamente per raggiungere la struttura, meglio non avere valigie pesanti con sé.

I had a free breakfast as a Genius member. There were several choices from Continental to Filipino breakfast. It was served at the requested time, the plte was well presented and the food was delicious.

I understand that it was a free breakfast but it would have been more enjoyable if it were not too limited in the amount per serving of the main dish.

Friendly staff and nice food. They helped arrange the transfers from and to the Banaue Tourism Center (extra charges applied).

The heater isn't hot enough for me for the shower but overall it's good!

Stunning views, closest to the car park, food is superb. the staff are superb. Superb value for money.

I did not like Five rooms with one shared bathroom toilet and it has thin wooden walls and floor, you can hear the neighbouring rooms snore, cough etc. first night was noisy, the second night was very quiet.

We were warmly welcomed, and while waiting to check into our clean room, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast from the menu with a fantastic view of the rice terraces. Everything was well organized. Even before our arrival, we were given options to book transportation to the accommodation, tours, and a massage. Be sure to take one of the many walking sticks available at the entrance of the accommodation for the rice terrace hike — they are very helpful when dealing with the changes in elevation. The massages by Ate Josephine and her niece were very relaxing. Many thanks again, and also thank you for the lovely conversations and the excellent organization.

We had a great stay here for 3 nights - Josephine and Nisha are lovely, very welcoming and were always attentive to our needs. We also had a great tour of the rice terraces and waterfall with Wilkie. The place is very cosy and has an amazing view of the terraces. Food was also great, would highly recommend!

Heel erg mooi uitzicht en lief personeel! Wel lastig te bereiken als je niet goed te been bent.

Badkamer moest gedeeld worden met veel kamers dus dat was af en toe vervelend met wachten, aangezien de wc ook in de badkamer zat

Eigenlijk niets, het enige dat er soepel mee gedacht werd om van 1kamer voor 2 nachten te wisselen naar 2 kamers voor 1 nacht.

De weg erheen was verschrikkelijk. De modderige berg op klimmen. Een erg kleine ruimte om te zitten. schoenen uit, niks om aan je voeten te doen. 5 kamers met maar 1 toilet!! Heel erg gehorig. Ik hoorde de buurman de hele nacht snurken. Maar Een hele dunne deken en het was nogal koud. De maaltijden duurde erg lang en waren meer dan simpel. Kortom wij zijn na 1 nacht vertrokken. Geen enkele opmerkingen hoe onmogelijk de huidige ligging van de accommodatie is. Dat is erg slecht en onzorgvuldig.

Très bel établissement avec une vue incroyable sur les rizières. Un espace commun avec hamac, la vue, parfait pour s’y reposer. La nourriture est très bonne et le personnel très gentil.

Un peu difficile d’accès (commun à tous les logements) la route ne va pas encore jusqu’à Batad, ce n’est pas accessible pour tout le monde

Great stay with absolutely breathtaking views! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made our Christmas Eve dinner truly special — such a lovely and thoughtful experience. The shared bathroom was always clean and never too busy. There are also games available to play, which adds a nice relaxed atmosphere. The location is very convenient, it is not far from the spot they drop you of by tricycle, so you don’t have to walk far with your luggage. A wonderful place with a warm, welcoming vibe — highly recommended

Très bon séjour mais quelques points à noter : Difficile d'accès mais c'est ce qui fait son charme. Cela dit, c'est probablement l'un des hébergements les plus accessibles depuis la route principale. Le débit d'eau de la salle de bain partagée est très faible donc impossible de laver mes cheveux (cheveux épais et bouclés). D'autres membres de ma famille ont pu s'accommoder du faible débit d'eau. L'éclairage dans la chambre pourrait être amélioré.

We have stayed 2 nights in Batad Countryside and it was great! We felt at home! The view from both the restaurant and the rooftop is amazing! This is the best view you can have on Batad, because it's the highest guesthouse. Nisha, her mother Josephine and her cousin are adorable! Always nice, smiling and helpful. Breakfast was included and very good. You can also have lunch and dinner there. There are some board games if you want to play. The rooms are cosy, the common bathroom is clean, with hot water. We unfortunately didn't try, but Josephine's massages seem amazing! And very cheap (300 pesos for 30min and 500 pesos for 1 hour). One day, we didn't go out because of the strong rain but this place was the perfect place to stay to chill and enjoy the amazing view. Also, they saved our tour when our guide didn't show up, they could last minute organize a tour with one of their local guide who was great! We strongly recommend this place, thanks for everything!
