Crossroads Cottage

Such a cute house! We loved it! Supplied all the wood we would need to burn on cold nights which is SO generous!

The bathroom on the ground floor (the one in between the bedroom and second bathroom) kept getting stuck and my friends got stuck inside. The lock mechanism needs to be looked at.

Hostess Lali and housekeeper Hellen were fabulous and very helpful. Lali provided my wife with a quick tour of town and provided recommendations for dinner, flyfishing, and sightseeing. Hellen helped us with laundry. Our boys loved the upstairs bedrooms and the unique raised play area. The whole family enjoyed the fireplace at night as the house cooled down. The location was a short walk from restaurants and shopping.

The garage was a snug fit for the four-door Hilux but with spotters we were able to make it fit. The master bedroom mattress was adequate, but a more comfortable mattress would enhance the sleeping experience. The kindling for the fireplace was very wet and wouldn't ignite, but Lali saved us by deliving some dry wood.

Crossroads Cottage is an excellent stay for anyone looking for a soulful and quiet stay. It has modern amenities yet maintains the prestige of older priorities. It boasts a lovely homey feel. I'd highly recommend it.

The property is comfortable and well equipped. The owners have thought of everything, including a bread machine which we thoroughly enjoyed using.

The rooms are not en-suite (I didn’t realise this) but it does not take away much from the overall comfort of the accommodation. The property is close to the road and one can hear cars zooming past, which is disturbing when asleep.

Schönes, altes Haus direkt in Dullstrom. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Leon ist ein wundervoller Gastgeber, sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

An einigen Stellen merkt man dem Haus sein Alter an. Die Betten sind etwas zu hart für unseren Geschmack.

Beautiful cottage with all amenities that you need. The electric blankets and heaters were great at night. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The enclosed braai area is great for sitting around and braaing and the garden is beautiful and lush. The home is also serviced daily, which is a plus.

Our favourite area was the large enclosed back porch with braai area. Great for those chilly Dullstroom days. A nice casual area to sit and chat.

The small double bed mattress downstairs needs replacing.

The host is very helpful, and the house is beautiful, quiet, and close to the main center. It’s peaceful and well-equipped with everything you need.

Wow, as a family of 5 adults we had a wonderful stay at Crossroads Cottage! The house is in an immaculate condition, and extremely well equipped - from the kitchen to the lounge with a lot of books to read and games to play. The house was warm over one of the coldest weekends with heaters, fireplaces, winter linen - we did not even need to use the electric warm blankets! A huge plus is the enclosed warm braai room. Most certainly a home from home to enjoy the lovely town of Dullstroom. Location is fantastic - walking distance to main street in Dullstroom, with a great local pub and Mrs Simpsons restaurant around the corner down the road. Excellent service from the owner, our host Leon and Helen who is available to clean the house over the weekend, as it suits you. Highly recommendable and we will surely visit again.

The location is amazing if you want to be in town! The house is so comfy, we loved the sun room (braai room) and spent a lot of time reading in front of the fireplace. Great place to spend time with family/friends and relax.

We were four staying at the house, and the hot water ran out after three people showered. The geyser might be too small for eight people in winter times.

The house catered for all of our needs plus some. It's brilliantly located. It's cosy and extremely comfortable. Leon was so helpful upon arrival. We would stay here again and again. Can't recommend this place enough

The cottage is equipped for everything you need for a self-catering stay. Lots of blankets, heaters and wood for the cold days and nights. Lots of space in the cottage for a bigger group of people. Exceptional service from the staff. They helped us at 22h30 when we accidently locked ourselves out.

So neat and cosy. The people were really friendly and we felt so welcome.

We loved the intimate gathering areas, cozy tea times in the sun, fireplace conversations and the spacious kitchen. The interior decor had such a calming effect 😌 Location was great and the alarm and security installments made us feel secure and safe.

Comfortable executive accommodation walking distance to town. Large bedrooms that do not make you clausterphobic and enough bathrooms for a home that can accommodate 8 people.

The front steps are maybe a bit high for the elderly. Railings would be a good idea.

Stunning house, everything was in place upon arrival, and we really enjoyed the stay, was home away from home for us.

The main bed was a little hard for my wife.

Beautiful accommodation with very convenient location! The hosts went through a lot of effort to ensure a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend for a bigger family or group of friends.
