The owners are very friendly and helpful.

No air-condition.

The glamping setup is cosy and well presented. The in-room heater was a great addition for the cold weather, and the electric blanket together with the comfortable bed made for a warm and restful stay.

Unfortunately, several advertised amenities were unavailable during our visit. The hot tub was not operational, there was no fridge as shown in the photos, and no cutlery or crockery was provided. We also experienced a lack of hot water for the shower, which was disappointing. Overall, the accommodation has potential and offers a comfortable sleeping experience, but the facilities and amenities need to align more closely with what is advertised.

The surrounding area was load. People making a noise during the night. The room had a smell of urine. The towels did not smell fresh.

Journey Guesthouse is a great guesthouse. The owner and staff were very attentive and helpful. It was nice that it was walking distance from shops and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and I loved the electric blanket in winter. Would definitely book again with them!

We had a vehicle breakdown and had to book into Journey Guest house. Niel, the owner, was very prompt in communication. He sent all relevant information through right after making booking along with additional information on WiFi, places to eat ext. He stood and waiting while vehicle got offloaded and made sure us ladies were safe inside and the lady even left us a homemade treat. Niel went out of his own the following morning to speak to mechanic and arranged an appointment for us. The stay there truly made the whole journey so pleasant and very at ease for us (as a vehicle breakdown is seldomly a good experience) we were able to make the most of is as there was a cute cafe right across the road and I could see the guesthouse and workshop from where I was sitting. Truly a lovely location hearing the nearby farm life and watching the sun rise from the forest right at our stoep !

That our vehicle was fixed the next day and we couldn’t stay longer !

The people are very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were bigger than expected and the facilities was great.

Sorry my contractor's was making use of the accommodation but they loved the place

Aletta the hostess was more than helpful and professional with helping us feel welcome, and completely went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. All the facilities you need is there. Whatever is not there that you might need, you can just shoot a message to Aletta, and she will make it happen ASAP. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and helpfull.

The only negative thing we had,that is unfortunately out of the control of the host, was the location. The guesthouse is situated in a busy road that is located near hotels and liquor stores. We went over a long weekend at the end of the month, resulting in the locals drinking a lot, get drunk and then walk up and down the street shouting and swearing. We had an instance where 3 people were fighting right in front of the gate for about an hour at 2h30 in the morninng. I dont know for how much longer they would've gone on if i didnt go out to shut them up.

Nous avons dormi dans la chambre sleeping beauty qui est du "glamping" au lieu d'une chambre dans la maison principale. Grosso modo une chambre avec un toit en tôle ondulée avec des murs en toile de tente. On entend tous les bruits (camions, voitures, un coq fou qui chante dès 3 heures du matin, une nuée de moustiques la nuit (apparemment fréquent en février). Wifi faiblard.

We didn't request breakfast. We were given lots of space to use, (even a sitting area with TV and a fridge and couches) and the room was well-equipped with a fan and reading lights as well as a kettle, coffee and tea. Good, safe parking.

The location was extremely noisy (traffic and shouting in the streets all night) and the fan was almost as noisy as a generator, but we had to use it because of the heat. The toilet had no door and wasn't private enough.

The bedrooms were exceptionally neat and I loved all the facilities the place had to offer.

Didn't like that there wasn't any comfortable chairs to sit at around the fire.

Incredibly hospitable and accomadating hosts, we just stayed for 1 night but we were made to feel super welcome !

Somehow I requested accommodation for two people, when I booked the room I saw that there was different options, a option with a shower and a option with a bath or shower. It happens that when I arrive that the owner told me that I have booked two rooms neither one had a bath. and I paid for two room. I do expect a payback of the cost of one of the rooms

There was no cutlery in the room, no fan for this time of the year, which was provided after been asked for

We had a fantastic stay! We stayed in Room 1, which was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable—the bathroom was equally impressive. The property truly offers everything you need for a luxury experience. ​We particularly enjoyed the fully equipped braai and games area, which came in very handy, and the splash pool was such a lovely added bonus. The location is absolutely perfect, and the owners are wonderful, welcoming people. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway!

Suggestion only: extra roll of toilet paper. Thank you for the coffee, but no milk. And if the cleaners could empty the bins if the stay is longer than one night. Otherwise we had a lovely stay. Thank you

The owners are incredibly kind and will make you feel right at home. The room was clean and nice. The comfortable bed will let you sleep like a baby! I highly recommend it! The neighborhood is great, with shops and cafes nearby.

It was conveniently situated

There are no cleaning products, only one small torn cloth in the kitchen, no dishwashing soap or drying cloth . The shower floor is not clean.

The staff was was very helpful

The parking is not great very tight squeeze, our car got bumped inside the premises, as we went to bed early as we had an early start when we woke up to leave we saw some park in a way that looked impossible to us on close inspection saw they bumped out car and didn't even leave a note. We had to leave and could not wait for everyone to wake up and go door to door to see who it was as there were a few rooms.

Friendly staff at the guesthouse and plenty of secure parking. The room was luxurious with beautiful bed linen.

It is situated on a noisy street corner where people was drinking and screaming during the night. The room was cold with no visible heaters to heat it up although electrical blankets was provided for the double bed.

Their hospitality and friendliness was exceptional 👏...the owner Aletta is very pleasant...the fact that she sent me the location and wifi password in advance and also called to hear if I received it was really appreciated...thank you so much 💓 I will definitely recommend their place

Beautiful old house. Very nice room.

The property it self is quint and the garden was beautiful. The room was exceptional and I enjoyed the quietness of the space

Secure parking, clean, neat. Very welcoming. Directly opposite the old jailhouse and coffee/restaurant. All restuarants are in walking distance. We ate at the Italian restuarant. Food price was good and Pizza was great! Take note its an old school town where some places close at 6 or 7 pm.

Everything was good. Pillows were a bit too big for me but that is a personal preference. For the price paid it exceed my expectations. Highly recommend Journey. I was so concerned that it would not look like the photos but it did. Super spacious and comfortable bed. I enjoyed the strength of water from the shower at some places you need to do a rain dance under the shower head. Towels were clean and white linen on beds smelled fresh! Seeing the treats on the bed was very wholesome. Was a shortbread choc biscuit. Very nice. Was perfect!
