Reviewed Jul 17, 2026The location is perfect and in a family friendly neighborhood. Being in that environment makes you feel secured and relaxed. The surroundings is tranquil. We enjoyed going for walks and had a lovely stay. It was cold, but we were provided all necessities to make us comfortable, even with having a baby under 1. You will definitely be seeing us again

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Stunning “home away from home” property right next to the owners which gave a feeling of added safety. Quiet area off one of the main roads. Secure parking. Inside it is a studio setup but very spacious! It had all the amenities one might need for a quick night or a longer stay. Very thoughtful supplies (of excellent quality) in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom for every possible need including a lovely complimentary wine. We also met the owners, Amalia and Riaan, who were the most welcoming and friendliest hosts around! We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Wish our stay was longer.

Reviewed May 27, 2026It was very cosy and welcoming. Lots of extras to make the stay more comfortable. It was very clean and tidy, nicely decorated and smelled grate. Very comfortable bed with good quality bedding. Easy check in and check out system. Peaceful and quite area. So much attention to detail and lots of thought of what guests might need for their stay. All necessary kitchen equipment and utensils available for self catering. Excellent place to stay in Robertson for solo traveller or couples. Welcoming chocolates and bottle of wine. Reviewed May 8, 2026Our Nutritionist Diederick Labaschagne stayed there. He said it was super comfortable GREAT linen on the bed and he slept well.
Flat and easy for Diederick easy to access the shower after a major back operation. Safe location. Clean and neat. He was very happy !!

Reviewed May 5, 2026I liked the attention to finer details like a welcoming bottle of wine on the table as we arrived, fresh flowers on the bed and all-round tidiness and cleanliness of the room. Would definitely recommend to people as it is pretty central in town. Also had a Weber braai available which made the stay feel even more homey!

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Piekfijn was absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean and so thoughtfully decorated. We loved the peaceful atmosphere which made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The attention to detail, comfortable bed and lovely amenities made our stay feel truly special. The hosts were warm, welcoming and made sure everything was perfect.
Honestly, there was nothing we did not like. Our stay was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. If anything, we only wished we could have stayed longer.

Reviewed Mar 20, 2026The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable but what made it really personal was the extras; nice coffee, a bottle of wine and chocolates. We were going for a wine tasting in the afternoon and wanted to get changed after travelling. They gave us a very early check in to allow this, which made our afternoon even more special. Also the private parking made it feel very safe.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2026The whole place was really homely and clean, with many little touches such as towels, hooks, candles. The place was really private, spacious, and the toilet and shower was very modern and clean. The bedding and pillows were great too. Location was great, with a private carpark.
The carpark gate is manual with a lock so it was a bit troublesome to open and close daily.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2026The room is spacious with a very comfortable bed with copious linen and pillows but no top sheet. The bathroom was newly renovated and clean. The items left in the refrigerator were very thoughtful and enjoyed. The fresh cut flowers were really beautiful! The whole property was spotlessly clean.
The room was very cluttered with ornaments and things that never provided any benefit. The kitchen area was very small and crowded. The electrics are an electrician's and insurers nightmare. The Bougainvillea planted in the parking area will become a problem for the driver. The procedure to get the keys was a cumbersome and tedious inconvenience.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2026The location is excellent, and situated in a quiet neighbourhood, that felt safe to stay at. Our hosts made our stay extra special, and since we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary, they went out of their way by welcoming us with a bouquet of flowers, some Champagne and Lindt Chocolates. We appreciated this so much and can recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking to stay in Robertson.
We have absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything was to our liking and more.

Reviewed Jan 6, 2026Das Piekfijn Robertson ist wirklich eine 5-Sterne Unterkunft, es mangelt an nichts. Für ankommende Gäste ist sogar Schokolade, Kaffee, Obst im Kühlschrank und Wein vorgesehen – besser geht es nicht! Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und uns wie zu Hause gefühlt.
Eine kleine Schwierigkeit war es, den Schlüsselsafe zu finden. Da es zwei Eingänge zum Haus 4 gibt, waren wir zunächst am verkehrten Eingang. Dies könnte vielleicht in der Beschreibung noch etwas klarer formuliert werden, ansonsten war es wirklich eine wunderschöne Zeit!

The aircon makes to much of a noise and couldn't bring the temperature down enough. Please keep in mind the ambient temperature was extremely high when we were there. However I thinks it need a service.

It would appear that the owners have thought of everything anyone could need. Super comfy large bed . We didn't meet the owners, but excellent communication maintained via what's app. The owners accommodated us with an early check in. Thankyou

Limited outside space and quite a busy little road. A few barking dogs in the evening but everything quietened down by bed time.

Es ist leider nicht möglich, die Fenster gut abzudunkeln. Es gibt nur ganz helle, dünne Vorhänge bzw. lichtdurchlässige Jalousien. Für uns war es nicht perfekt, aber viele Personen können ja im Hellen schlafen.

A complimentary bottle of delicious red wine was also provided, which was a thoughtful touch. The bed, bedding, linen, blankets, and towels are all of excellent quality—clean, fresh, and seemingly brand new. Both the room and bathroom are spacious, and the WiFi works well. The contactless entry system is a great feature that adds convenience and security Small little extras make you believe the host care about your convenience and comfort.
One small area for improvement would be the positioning of the lock box, as accessing it through the steel bars can be a bit awkward and time-consuming. A slight adjustment to its placement could make the process even smoother.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Beautiful and cozy self-catering cottage in the heart of Robertson, where one can appreciate the host’s attention to detail, complimentary bottle of red wine, Lindt chocolates, fresh fruit and high quality ground coffee. And not to mention the spacious bathroom, where one can enjoy a relaxing bath in the big bathtub. The big screen smart TV was also a plus with Netflix and Showmax!
Although space doesn’t allow it, a gas stove and oven would have been an added bonus, but nothing to complain about at all…😎

Clean, well-equipped with everything we needed, the most welcoming bed, and oh, the bath, pure bliss. We loved it so much, we're heading back in a few days. Reviewed Jun 20, 2025Piekfijn's location is perfect - in a quiet street, less than a kilometer from the Four Cousins restaurant and landmarks like Robertson's beautiful church. Piekfijn offers safe parking behind a locked gate. The hosts stay on the property and Riaan was immediately available to help me set up the TV. Piekfijn is very spacious and stylishly decorated, and offered everything I needed and more!
