Cellar In Town

I booked the entire guesthouse for friends and family on a weekend away in Robertson. Dini is a fantastic host, and the breakfast is delicious. The house is in town so easy walkability around Robertson. The rooms are well appointed, and the living and dining room have old world charm. There is an outside braai area and a splash pool. Ample secure parking.

If I must be picky - water in the room would be good

The owner was amazing. The breakfast was amazing. Really lovely people, love the art and the dining room. The coffee was very nice.

The actual room itself didn’t live up to the photos. The TV was terribly small and in a weird corner location close to the roof. The WiFi was poor. The room’s floors were sticky. 1 ply toilet paper. The walls are very thin, we could hear everything in the dining room next to us. The Toilet is terribly close to the washing basin, so a big guy like me could not comfortably sit on it without bumping my knees against the basin cupboard.

Das Frühstück war ausgewöhnlich gut. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sauber und nett eingerichtet. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jeder Zeit wiederkommen.

The decor and the "printed art" is beautifully done. Breakfast was good.

Aircon in room was not really "cooling", bathroom had a drain smell, but got better once extractor fan used and shower drain flushed, same the next day.

What a wonderful spot in Town. Close to everything yet nice and tranquil. The breakfast was excellent.

Our wonderful host helped me so much- she even made an appointment for me at a fantastic hair salon! Our meals were delicious and our hosts were such friendly, kind people!! If I get the opportunity I will definitely stay over there again - Thanks again - we had a wonderful time!!!

No choice for breakfast, food delivered with no discussion. No fridge in the room. No tissues or ancillaries other than soap. A lot of barking dogs in adjacent properties. No assistance with luggage due to the age of the manager.

Lovely property with amazing decor. Breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable. The lounge was beautiful, and we enjoyed spending the evening listening to music on the Alexa and reading.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Check-in information received from the lovely Dini prior to arriving. On arrival, Dini showed us around and explained all the facilities available. The air-conditioned en-suite room was very spacious and absolutely beautiful. Dini made a lovely breakfast for us and looked well after us. THANK YOU Dini! Will definitely be back!

A true Robertson experience in the service. A oom and tannie who really make you feel at home with the best traditional breakfast. Love the stories they tell. The room was clean and well equipped.

The fact that I could arrange a take-away breakfast package, seeing that we needed to be in cape Town 09h00 the next day.

The Hospitality Industry is more than just a venue that permeates a reasonable ambiance, it is more that just accommodation; it is about the client that needs to experience a sense of 'belonging' and being welcomed and provided with all the necessary requirements to make his/her stay memorable- this unfortunately, did not happen at this venue.

Home away from home....Envision soft relainf music in the morning with the smell of baked goods inviting you to the breakfast table. Our breakfast was top tier. The hosts were friendly and helpful with dining suggestions in the evenings. We loved the interior design of the property. The pool was right by our room, and we enjoyed our sundowner while dipping our feet in the pool. What a tranquil stay!

The DSTV bouquet was not working. However, the Netflix account was working.

This is a great place to stay while doing your wine tours. It is centrally located, comfortable, elegant, and quiet. The host is very attentive. The breakfast is delicious and cooked to order, and the ambiance is wonderful. Thank you, Diennie.

It was exceptionally clean, clean linen, friendly host.

Very comfortable beds and an excellent shower. Loved the background sound of the water feature. The plunger coffee in the room was a perfect start to the day followed by Dinnie's highly recommended breakfasts. We loved being able to leave the car behind and walk around the town. Thank you for providing a beautiful home base for a fantastic weekend in Robertson.

In a quiet area of town, very convenient and within close proximity of wine farms. Welcoming and friendly hosts. It was a cold winter night but we were so comfortable and warm ( white crisp luxurious linen). Breakfast was tasty and filling.

It was very unfortunate that there was a problem with warm water, electrician was called but would only arrive after 10am. It was very cold and taking a cold shower was not an option so we just dressed. Very unfortunate and unpleasant. The hosts apologised and was out of their control.
