The house is well positioned , closer to all amenities in a safe and quiet environment.The place was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished, with a warm, homely atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and there was a fresh, welcoming scent throughout. It’s a beautiful space with great attention to detail.
There was no heating, which made the stay quite uncomfortable during the current cold weather. In addition, despite following the instructions carefully, the shower water stayed lukewarm to cold. I guess all this won't be an issue in warmer to hot days

Reviewed Dec 5, 2024We had such a lovely stay at the property. It’s beautiful, clean and just at the right location from where I was going and close to the malls. Also the first place I have ever stayed in where the WiFi actually works 🤣. Thank you for that. My kids loved the place very much and both the host and staff were very nice, patient and helpful as I was driving from Ladysmith. Would definitely stay here again.

The only thing we'd have appreciated which the property didn't have was air conditioning. It was an incredibly hot weekend and we while were very grateful for the ceiling fans in the bedrooms, a cooling fan in the lounge or indeed aircon would have been perfect.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2024Everything, and more, you might require for a short term stay in White River. Hosts also made sure that I could get access to the facility, after booking on very short notice.
Seems that the water pressure in the facility drops when taps are opened in the main house. The pressure dropped too low to activate the gas geyser and had to finish a morning shower with cold water.

Loved the environmentally friendly but nice feeling and smelling, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Thoughtful tea and coffee and rusks. Host was very helpful and recommended good places to go eat for dinner, communication was excellent. Cottage is nice and private as well.
