We loved vineyard cottage, it was beautifully set with incredible views, the refined attention to detail was exceptional and it was spotlessly clean.

Needs better reading light in the lounge, and a toaster would be nice.

The peace and calmness. The beauty of nature. The free roaming live stock. The house is comfy and spacious eith big windows and lovely views. And the inside braai was just the right medicine for the chilly weather with lots of braai wood. To be off the grid no TV, wifi was available, but preferred to switch off phoned. Actually too much to mention. Just bliss Our car broke down in Stanford and Tabby litarally left everything to come immediately to pick us up. And then she and Alex gave us a lift to Hermanus to fetch a rental car. They are fabulous hosts. They have a small deli on the farm where they stock amongst all other organic stuff, there own organic wine and port which is highly recommemded.

The location was absolutely great. We had two days of peace and quite to relax and unwind. A super welcome basket at the door as we entered. The hosts and the farm animals were very welcoming. Cannot recommend it enough

Wij hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf bij Goodluck Homestead. Wat deze plek voor ons echt bijzonder maakte, was hoe persoonlijk en sfeervol het huisje was ingericht. Het voelde totaal niet als een standaard, praktische vakantiewoning, maar echt als een warme en fijne plek om te verblijven. Daarnaast was alles brandschoon en leek werkelijk overal aan gedacht. Bij aankomst stonden er zelfs verse producten uit de eigen tuin voor ons klaar en de honing was héérlijk. Dat soort details maken echt het verschil. Ook onze kinderen vonden het fantastisch, mede dankzij de lieve honden die vrij rondliepen op het erf. Ze waren ontzettend vriendelijk en rustig. De boerderij ligt net buiten Stanford, op een prachtige en rustige locatie. Perfect om even helemaal tot rust te komen. Stanford zelf is een liefelijk plaatsje met leuke wine estates in de omgeving en ook Hermanus ligt op korte rijafstand. Absoluut een aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar rust, sfeer en gastvrijheid.

The hosts are incredibly accommodating, ensuring every aspect of our stay was seamless and comfortable. It is the perfect clean and scenic getaway that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Everything. Vineyard Cottage is a truly amazing place to stay. It is beautifully constructed, very peaceful and fantastically furnished. Truly off grid but all the mod cons needed, plus a hot tub with a view over the vines, surrounding landscape and mountains across the valley. Just idyllic. We loved our stay and were sorry to have to leave after our 2 days there. One of the best places we have ever stayed.

Not staying longer !!

It was so quiet and well kept. It felt like we were on a retreat. We loved the access to roam about the property and explore the little corners of the farm. Our cottage was perfectly sized for our needs and we really enjoyed the little personal touch of a basket of fresh garden produce in our kitchen.

The Vineyard Cottage was incredible, we loved the look and design of the unit perched above the farm and vineyard. The hot tub was amazing after the day and add to the relaxing atmosphere of the place, with the mountains in the background. Ronnie, one of the farm dogs also came to say hi which was the best! Standford town is a short drive [20min] where we had our meals and got food supplies. We also went over to Panthera, a big cat sanctuary which is 1km away which was a great addition to our trip. Tabby also gifted us some fresh farm produce which was really appreciated!

Incredible setting, and beautiful property. Very friendly hosts and they immersed us right into farm life.

The bed is quite hard and the pillows quite flat, but this did not detract from our stay, we loved it.

Nothing short of perfection- the property was so thoughtfully constructed by the owners to fit into the landscape and not take more from the land than it needs. Everything from the landscaping to the furnishing was wonderful. The outdoor area was fabulous (hot tub and braai), with the best view we’ve ever had from a property. Inside there was a super comfy, huge bed, plenty of places to relax and a very well appointed bathroom. The kitchen provided everything we needed during our stay and the large fridge/freezer was super handy. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout to make our stay extra comfortable. We loved the fresh produce left for us; granola, fruit, veg and fresh milk was such a treat and made us feel very welcome on arrival. Plus very friendly and responsive hosts. 10/10!

Tabby and Alex have thought of everything. They have made us feel at home from when we arrived. The farm experience and interaction with animals was amazing for my son. The personal touch of season veg basket on welcome was a real treat even with some honey and fresh milk from the farms own cows. From games and books, to how the kitchen is setup with foil, cling wrap and quality tea and coffee, not to mention discontinued type rusks. What an absolute haven, its heaven! Dams are well managed for fishing opportunity as well as row boating.

The cottage does not have a hot tub, but it does have an outside bathroom under the star which on a warm night could really be amazing.

Fresh farm produce gifts. The house interior is beautiful and neat and clean with beautiful well cared-for plants in the house. Lovely warm water and outdoor shower and bath we enjoyed. Loved the books as well.

Literally EVERYTHING! As city dwellers, this is the ultimate dream.. to stay on a farm, greeted with a basket full of fresh produce and stay in the most beautiful cottage and bath under the stars.. to name a few.The views are unforgettable and holding the baby goats was a highlight! This place is pure magic.. wish we could stay forever.

We had such a wonderful experience! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and I loved how the farm was nestled away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was heartwarming to see the kids so excited as they rode the tractor and had the chance to feed the animals. It truly was an incredible stay, one that we'll cherish for a long time.

Tabby was an excellent host. Very accommodating. What a wonderful place! The cottage was great. All the little touches - the basket of fresh produce, honey, the wood, the farm animals etc. We will certainly be back.

Tabby and Alex were so welcoming and friendly. We loved the garden cottage, which is beautifully decorated and so comfortable and clean. The view is so relaxing. I loved the shower and even tried the outdoor one, which was lovely even in winter. We enjoyed the animals, especially the baby goats. Loved the boats and dam. I will definitely be booking to stay here again.

Didn't like the pillow, but that is just a personal preference. I would like to make a few small suggestions, but in no way did these detract from our wonderful weekend. 1)Wooden spoons for cooking would be nice, as we didn't like using plastic and metal gets very hot with gas. 2) Would have appreciated wine glasses.

This place is special, beautiful and beyond words to describe!!!! It is one of the most beautifully and well equipped cottages I have ever stayed in!!!! On arrival we even found some real home-made muesli, fresh vegetables from the garden, fresh coffee beans and fresh milk in our cottage as a welcome "gift". There was EVERYTHING you can think of in the cottage, the fireplace makes it so nice and warm, the braai is outside but under roof, so can be used even if it rains. And in summer if you open all the doors its like one huge living space with the braai as part of the cottage. We have allready made another booking enquiry and told all our family. Thanks so much Tabby for being the most amazing host also!!!! All information was received well in advance and communication and check-in and everything was just so pleasurable!!!

On arrival we found a welcome basket with fresh veggies and honey from the farm which was highly appreciated. A short walk to the vegetable garden where you can pick what you need. Spacious farmhouse, cooking was fun in a huge kitchen which is very well equipped. Lots of different seating options outside. Owner Tammy was very kind and reactive when needed. Lots of farm animals to see and a great dam to swim. We truly loved our stay at this beautiful and tranquil farm and have already booked our next stay.

King size beds would have been a bonus but all beds were comfortable

Such an incredible stay. The peace and quiet was lovely. Stunning views of the farm and the cottage we stayed in was so beautiful I would live there full time if I could! The staff were great and very helpful, even showing us around the farm.

Such a quaint, well equipped, stylishly decorated, spacious cottage on a farm with a beautiful view. Bed was good, kitchen had everything needed for self-catering and we received a basket of fresh veges and honey as welcome gift. Highly recommend.

The property is comfortable and has great views over the vineyard towards Hermanus. The bed is comfortable and spacious and the bathroom facilities worked well. There was a plentiful supply of wood for the braai and the hot tub, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed! The owners even pre-lit the hot tub for us twice so that it was ready on our return. The outside seating is comfortable and it's a great place for star gazing at night. We received a complimentary basket of produce which was most welcome. It's located about a 25 minute drive away from Hermanus and the dirt road section leading to the property is well maintained and not too ridged.

It's worth mentioning in the marketing of the property how 'off grid' it actually is. This means that you cannot use a hairdryer or other electrical devices such as a microwave / oven or electric kettle as they can drain the solar battery. Hence these devices were not provided by the property. We learned to manage.

My daughter and I spent two nights in the garden cottage. It’s beautifully furnished, well equipped and clean. The details impressed us. The tables had vases of fresh wild flowers on it, and we were greeted with a basket of homegrown veggies and fresh milk. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There are lots to do on the farm, or if you prefer, just lazing around on the beautiful lawns under a tree, it’s comfortable and laid back enough to do so.

An outstandingly wonderful experience! The facility was family friendly, well set up and conducive to relaxation and people being able to Go off on there. The children were in paradise with lovely lawns to play on, swings, a dam to swim, fish or paddle in and a farmyard and vegetable garden that they loved visiting. No screen time needed, just outdoor fun! The hosts were friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure that the experience was a great one for all of us. We did t want to leave.

Wonderful place with great hospitality for a few days stay! The house has everything one would need and the kids didn’t miss a minute without a TV and their iPads.

It was self-catering. A lovely basket of their own farm produce awaited us, including eggs and delicious honey and we bought their own wine and meat from them, so zero carbon footprint. Such a luxuriously comfortable place and the wood fired hot tub was wonderful. We enjoyed seeing all their animals and veggie gardens and the dam for a bit of boating was great fun. The view was outstanding and the whole place was beautifully appointed.

Beautiful cottage and farm

Our stay at this beautiful house was nothing short of exceptional. The property is surrounded by stunning scenery, and the thoughtful attention to detail made all the difference. Every space was spotless, with vibrant flowers throughout adding a special touch. Each room offered a private entrance and a lovely view of the meticulously kept gardens. It was the perfect retreat, and we would love to visit again soon!

Amazing, well-appointed home, beautifully designed with attention to detail. We enjoyed the lovely fresh-produce basket that was waiting for us upon arrival. The hosts were very friendly and took our kids around the farm to see the animals, collect eggs and explore. There were wonderful spots for the kids to run around and play. The fire boma and braai area were wonderful. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.

Just a note to avoid confusion: There are two accommodation options on the farm - the jacuzzi in the photos belongs to the smaller 2-person property, not the bigger one.

What a beautiful stay in a perfect cottage , the hot tub was pre warmed ready for our arrival and a basket of fresh farm produce was waiting . The views are spectacular as are the sunsets and you can even hear lion roaring in the distance , The cottage is idyllic with real style throughout the interior and exterior. This is truly a little slice of heaven! The farm is beautiful with stunning views across to the mountains. The braai (bbq) facilities were great, and we really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. Thanks to the wonderful hosts for providing loads of firewood to keep us warm as the weather didn’t play ball. And we loved the visits from Ronnie, the friendliest farm dog there ever was 💖 We’ll definitely be back again as it’s a lovely, peaceful piece of paradise!

It was absolutely beautiful and so homely! On my arrival there was a beautiful basket packed with vegetables and honey and fresh farm eggs. It is so good located close to everything. The quiteness and peace was precious. Thank you sooo much I will be back 🤗

We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was very comfortable and of high quality. Beautiful location and views. With Panthera close by, you wake up with the sound of roaring lions in the distance! Tabby and Alex are wonderful hosts that made sure we were comfortable, and when we got stuck on a nearby dirt road, didn’t hesitate to come to our rescue! Really enjoyed the whole experience and can’t wait to be back!

Honestly, words cannot really capture how special this place is. Communication with the host, Tabby, was incredible. On arrival at the cottage, it was clean and the hot tub was going. There were also treats for us, freshly baked bread, biscotti, fresh eggs and milk, a pot of honey. Just delightful. The finishing touches on the house were amazing and it was very comfortable. The linen was high quality and the bed was great. The views were out of this world. There are several walks on the farm, and it is 10 mins from the centre of town. I was blown away. Cannot wait to visit this gem again.

Everything was perfect, it's a very well kitted out cottage and loved the welcome basket upon arrival. We went in winter but it was surprisingly warm inside the eco cottage and so lovely to have the hot tub. I can't wait to come back!

Perfect position with an absolutely stunning view. Everything is so well thought out to make your stay amazing. Attention to detail. Awesome design with natural materials that keep it warm and comfortable on even the coldest evenings. Very tastefully decorated to make it feel like home. Even healthy houseplants on show. Quality kitchen utensils for self-catering. Welcome basket of beautiful fresh produce from the farm. Nothing lacking. Would score it higher than 10 if I could. Can’t wait to go again.

No microwave to heat food but understandable due to being off grid and power usage of a microwave might be an issue.

The cottage has everything you need (and more) and provides a wonderful view of the mountains in the distance. We experienced two stunning sunsets from the porch and enjoyed the afterglow from the outdoor shower. Amazing! Tabby also provides unexpected touches like a basket of fresh produce, a jar of delicious granola and a small pot of honey left for us to find on arrival. All in all, a great experience!

The cottage is situated among beautiful scenery. It feels luxurious and like home at the same time. It is a perfect place to relax and get away from everyday life. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

Everything was good.

Very private location. We enjoyed the break from the city and in particular the relaxing nature and hot tub. Hosts were super friendly and allowed you adequate space. The cottage was well kitted out with amazing, quality equipment and exceptionally clean! We really enjoyed the attention to detail. Unfortunately being in nature has it's downsides - we didn't particularly enjoy the insects (caterpillars) and flies, however the host was extremely accommodating of this and provided adequate repellent etc.

The little extras provided were an absolute surprise. The cottage was extremely comfortable and we had the most fabulous restful and enjoyable week ! Loved the walk around the farm with Tabby hearing about the animals, vegetable garden, bees and future projects.

The weather could have played along better but alas we could still use the kolkol!

What an absolute gem of a place.The view looking out to the vineyards and mountains is spectacular.The entire cottage gave us such a relaxing feeling.The indoor fireplace was also amazing as we had very cold weather during our stay.The cottage was spotless.
