The rooms as very tiny no place to sit or even have a small meal of even breakfast. It was basically someone's back of their house that you staying in No parking I had to park my car on the grass. The beds were super uncomfortable. Linen was very old.

Nothing I didn't like really. Except that I couldn't see the markings when I got there at night. No sign or board, only my GPS was telling me I've arrived but I could not identify the place.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2025We had a wonderful stay at Opiepad Guesthouse in Colesberg! From the start, Chanté was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions both before and during our arrival. The room was spacious and had two very comfy double beds – honestly, you could sleep for days! The bathroom was spotless, with a lovely shower, and they provided towels, shampoo, and conditioner, which was a nice touch. We also appreciated the coffee corner in the room, complete with a kettle, milk, a small fridge, and microwave – perfect for a quick snack or morning coffee. What really stood out was their flexibility – they kindly allowed us to change our booking just a day before arrival, which made our trip so much easier. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Opiepad to anyone passing through Colesberg!

I would've liked to have blankets in the room as we couldn't sleep with the aircon on due to sinusitis. It would've also been nice if the bathtub taps(shower head, etc) were cleaned properly, and a hand towel was included.
