The building

Property is completely dated; everything is from the 80"s . dated and ugly stove, dirty fridge. all closets doors were nonfunctional. Ther were 2 AC compressors in the balcony, so you could not sit in the balcony. The pictures of the property are deceiving since the show you a beach view when it is actually street view. Owners would not answer phone calss only text. The worst short-term rental I have rented ever. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

The location was great.

The place was dirty and furniture was broken. Was not able to control the ac. There was no toilet paper at the location. We could smell cigarettes and weed from somewhere in the location by the kitchen. As of today we never heard back from host. Awful communication.

Location, the beach,view

No washer machine or dryer. Light switches didn't work. No iron. No TV in the bedroom and remote control for the living room tv didn't work.

I LOVED THE LOCATION AND THE SAFETY OF THE BUILDING AS A WHOLE. THE AMENEDIES AND GROUNDS WERE GREAT.

THE APARTMENT HAD DEAD ROACHES IN THE CABINETS AND COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANED BETTER. ALSO, NO ADDITIONAL BLANKETS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THE PULL OUT FOUTON IN THE LIVING ROOM. THE HOST SHOULD PROVIDE ADDITIONAL BLANKETS AND TOWELS FOR THE UNIT AND MAKE SURE ITS FUMIGATED AND DEAD ROACHES ARE REMOVED.

The location is literally the highlight of this place. That being Maribella as a whole. This particular condo is on the 14th floor and the balcony overlooks isla verde ave. AC units work great. Facilities are beautiful. Pool is clean and well managed. Location is right on beach.

The condo was disgusting, balcony was covered in bird feces when we arrived. The floors were dirty when we arrived. The furniture is very old and uncomfortable. Beds are basically on the floor. No beach chairs, beach towels etc. cookware was limited and also very old and dirty. Only one burner on stove works. We found 3 live cockroaches during our stay. A lot of things need fixed. Broken balcony door. Bathroom needs some updating. Lock on door does not work. Not very secure. It needs alot of TLC. Also the owner will not respond to calls and takes forever to respond to texts. Even when we arrived he took an hour to give us the info to check in!

Close to the beach

You can not sleep in this apartment because it is located on the street side and the whole night there are laud sounds of cars with reggeton music, police sirens, motorcycles, cars traffic. I text couple time to the apartment owner but never answered.

Too much to list it all but there were a lot of things that didn’t work as well as very unsafe conditions

1) The apartment itself was functional enough but it was also expensive due to its location and pool/beach access. The kitchen was equipped enough to make some coffee and store leftovers. The bed I used was comfortable. 2) The pool and beach access were nice touches even if the beach was full of Spring Break people. 3) The view of this apartment faces away from the beach but is high enough to see the hills beyond Laguna San Jose. The sunset view was pretty good. You also get to watch (but not hear) planes land.

1) My Internet access died so I couldn't provide check-in info in advance. While I got through the outer gate, the guard was pretty gruff about access to the lobby or wifi, but I'm sure he has to deal with idiots like me all the time. Eventually, I got him the info so he could log me in. 2) The lobby is fine, but the elevators are probably from the 1970s. I dislike heights, so finding out *after checking in* that it was on the 14th floor did not please my stomach. Worse, then elevator door failed to open at first on the 14th floor, then sprung open with a big scrape. I didn't use that elevator again, but at least there were several! 3) The 14th floor hallway is in, um, original condition from the 1960s or 1970s. 4) The apartment looks to have been renovated in the late 1980s/1990s and some light switch covers and outlets were dislodged. (I suspect that tourists have beaten the place up over the years.) 5) The slider to the balcony (which, despite it being up high, I did go out on once or twice) gets stuck in its tracks. 6) For some reason, there are two lockboxes at the apartment. That's confusing. 7) The neighborhood obviously caters to USA tourists with every chain restaurant available. The street is very busy. The markets and pharmacies in the area are often expensive to the point of price gouging *except* for the Walgreens just across the street. Since it's at the beach, plan on paying $22 USD for a burger or ceviche and almost the same for a cocktail. (Puerto Rico in general has become expensive.)

Apartment is on the street which is very loud all night. It's a loud, busy part of town. The pictures make it look much nicer. In reality, there is trash everywhere, something was wrong with the elevator, the apartment beds are very uncomfortable, the patio door was broken which makes it a fire hazard, the pool was unusable for some reason and the door guy acted like he was working CBGBs in 1978. And so many other things. NOT worth $200 at all!!!

The apartment size and location are great.

The apartment is old, the AC in the bedroom stopped working and no one responds to your messages. The bed mattress is very uncomfortable, very hard to get a good night sleep in that apartment.

The Owners-I was charged twice for the apartment. I tried reaching out to owners to resolve but ultimately had to go through my credit card company. I also had no TV both nights-they tried to resolve issues but they had very bad attitude about it. Pretty much asked us to leave (night before) if we weren’t happy.

The condo was spacious the safety/security of the building was great. Parking was right on the premises.

The condo that I rented was with a balcony ocean view and was given the street side. Was not able to sleep it was very noisy. The living room furniture was old and broken. The bathroom was not clean and had hair in the shower and the floor.

this company took over 916.00 out of my account AFTER i paid the 186.00 for the night I had TO CALL MY BANK AND CLOSE THE CHECKING ACCT AND I WAS TRAVELING OUT OF THE COUNTRY. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ENTERTAIN COMPANY MARABELLA APARTMENTS. CALLED AN NO ANSWER ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!! WHO THE HELL TAKES UNAUTHORTIZED FUNDS OUT OF SOMEONES ACCOUT NEVER AGAIN WILL I ENTERTAIN THIS PPROPERTY

The turist trap...first room was not adequate for us..my husband and I we have walking issues...were moved to another room 14 floor next day were moved again because they needed the room for a bigger family..the third room was in a place not suitable for us but we made the best of it..hallway and elevators not cleaned enough...it was just a bad experience I don’t think will be staying here ever... And for last the last day no electricity and no generator to compensate...not good...

Out dated apartmenr, Iron did not work. No fob was provided to use certain parts of the facilities. Check in is at 3pm and check out at 11am.

Host was not responsive, messaged for 2 days with no response, unit didn’t have WIFI, door of unit was corroded. Extremely noisy pretty much all night, we got no rest.

Location was amazing. About 5 min from the airport, steps away from the beach and restaurants. Night life is okay. The view to Teodoro Moscoso was nice.

This apartment is not safe for children, sliding doors to the balcony get stuck on the rails and do not lock. There are no smoke detectors, or fire extinguisher. This apartment was on the 14th floor with no locks towards the balcony. Not enough towels, not enough bedsheets. Kitchen cabinets weren't, the bed mattresses had holes in them and were extremely uncomfortable. Appliances are old, needs an air fryer. Overall, it needs a lot of work.

The picture of the apartment aren’t the one in the website, there is no beach in front of the apt, closets are scary, iron board are broke and the iron don’t work, I had to buy one The hair dryer don’t work

Apartment needs better furniture, sofa was broken and not suitable for seating (very low). I sat on a plastic chair during my stay at the apartment. (two an half week). It also needs to paint doors, iron safety door, and some patchy ceiling areas through the apt which give a very bad impression and look dirty.

I always stay at this building and have stayed at others but very picky on where i stay. Always pick Marbella first if reasonable. Great amenities and security with perfect location to all things.

Although it’s a great location definitely building could use many updates.

Full size bed only,no light in the kitchen, no tv in bedroom, sports available in the living room tv only, we’re more than 25 years ago. We have stay There three times before and everything was Great. Blinking light all night in the hallway of apartment

Private pool and easy beach access

Nothing, I didn't get to stay because of a communication issue (I never received necessary check-in information from the property owner). It looked like the beach might have been nice, and it's conveniently close to the airport.

The check-in process was unnecessarily difficult and resulted in me having to book a different room in another part of the city. Communication from the property owner was non-existent. I arrived an hour before check-in and was informed by security that I had to wait, which is understandable. It was frustrating that they would not hold my single backpack so I could go to the beach or allow me to wait in the lobby or anywhere on the property. It felt the opposite of welcoming and that I was somehow a burden for showing up. I returned at check-in time to be told I didn't have the required information to enter the building. I tried to contact the property owner over the next 90 minutes by several methods to no avail. Just ghosted. When it became clear I wasn't going to the check-in information, I decided it was time to abandon ship and go elsewhere. The security guard told me this happens several times a month. This was just incredibly disappointing and a complete waste of vacation time. Booking.com customer service was very helpful and I was able to find a wonderful hotel for less months and in a better location.

Our flight was canceled so we needed to find cheaper place to stay. Location is perfect. It’s right at the beach. Close to the airport. It’s a ground floor and you have your own entrance. Bed is comfortable, sheets and towels are clean. You definitely feel safe because you have two fences around the property and metal bars on you balcony

Apartment is clean but old and dark. It makes a lot of weird noises at night ( fridge and air conditioner) . Shower needs to be fixed. It’s leaking. More towels and pillows would be nice too

We had never stayed in San Juan before, but due to a cancelled flight we had to find a place fast. It was the most reasonable place to stay so I wasn't expecting much. The security guard was very helpful and nice, the few residents we ran into were all friendly and it was close by to everything - beach, restaurants, airport. It was very clean and the air conditioning worked great. The owners were very fast to respond to inquiries as well.

The only thing I can think of to be critical on was that the beds were a little small (I'm 6'5" and my wife is 6'), but it's something we've grown accustomed to. And I think they did say that the beds were doubles, so it's not like we didn't know.

The location

We booked two different rooms and one of the rooms did not have any hot water and it had holes in the wall, and the staff was rude. When checking in… And then in the other room, we put the keys in the lock box when we left, and we got a call saying that the keys were not there, which was a lie.
