We had the most amazing time! A huge and special shoutout to our hostess, Honey. Even though we were running late, she was incredibly sweet, accommodating, and went out of her way to guide our driver so we could find the location easily. The houseboat itself is extremely cool and a fantastic, unique experience! What truly made our stay unforgettable was the crew—our amazing chef, our engineer, and our captain! They are all wonderful people who provided outstanding service. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them, and they made everything so fun and special. Thank you all for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience!

はじめてハウスボートというものに乗りました。一泊したのですが、とても素晴らしい体験でした。 スタッフは3名同乗し、みなさんがそれぞれプロフェッショナルでした。突然の雨にも、速やかに対応していました。 料理は到着前に色々と相談もして、朝と昼も夜もとてもおいしかったです。途中で立ち寄った魚介の調理もしていだだきました。また、おやつにバナナのフライを出していただきましたが、作り方が気になって聞くと、親切に教えてくれました。 小舟に乗り換えて細い水路を行く体験が、とてもおもしろかったです。 ぜひまた再び訪れたいとおもいます。

Had an incredible experience. The houseboat is beautiful and clean, and the views are breathtaking. The food was incredible beyond expectation. The standout was the karimeen fry. Special thanks to Sijo, Raju, Rajiv and Honey who made our stay wonderful. Sijo, Raju and Rajiv were great at taking care of us on the boat, keeping us safe and well fed. I hope Xandari takes good care of them.

The warmth of the staff, the timeliness of everything left sharp at the stated time, disembarked similarly , every stop was planned ad happened by the clock. this sort of punctuality is super rare in India. the boat was clean and the food was excellent - home cooked style food in Kerala cuisine. they were careful about asking about preferences and allergies. Everything was inquired about and customized. if like us someone wants to have local cuisine this is terrific.

They should have a small cafe at the night halt place where they own a private property with a pool. the pool should be better equipped and a small cafe will let people sit ad chill for a while. also some self service coffee ad tea i the boat will make life easier.

Everything was perfect!! We had 3 staff members who were taking care of us. The boat ride was a wonderful experience—so relaxing, with such beautiful scenery🫶 We ate delicious homemade food and even had a private cooking lesson.

Amazing experience with most exceptional service by staff ... cleanest boat

We had an amazing time on this boat! It felt very safe and we had the most relaxing afternoon cruising through the backwaters. Even though it was intermittently raining, we were well sheltered in the boat and enjoyed the added atmosphere. They asked our food preference before the trip, and the chef prepared delicious & fresh food throughout every meal! We could not praise the chef more, every meal was great. The staff were really lovely and made our time relaxing & comfortable. The room was spacious with a good shower and comfortable bed. We would definitely recommend this experience and this company as they were very professional and everything ran very smoothly.

The larger boats have an upper deck giving an unobstructed view on the smaller boats the captain is positioned in the middle although you can easily see either side and it doesn’t detract from the experience

A wonderful experience! Very lovely and attentive team - we were treated like princesses! We also felt very safe. Food was delicious, everywhere was very clean and the whole experience was very smooth and efficient.

There are far to many boats doing this trip. Apart from an hour in the morning, we were surrounded by numerous other barges. Not really what is sold as a peaceful cruise through quiet backwaters. The stitch canoe trip felt contrived and awkward for local people.

Franchement, pour passer une journée et une nuit en amoureux c'est le top. Le lever de soleil est superbe, le parcours est attrayant.

Le séjour était tout simplement incroyable ! Nous avons vécu un rêve éveillé de la prise en charge jusqu'à la fin grâce à toutes les personnes qui sont parfaites. Le bateau est magnifique, authentique et la balade est une pépite pour les yeux. Nous recommandons vivement à quiconque voulant vivre une expérience hors du commun auprès de personnes incroyables !

Brak WiFi n Łodzi. Mimo zapewnien przedstawicielkii firmy operującej lodziami na lodzi nie ma WiFi. Wifi jest dostępne nocą gdy lodz przybija do brzegu. Jedzenie jest niestety zbyt pospolite i psuje cale doświadczenie. By mieć coś ekstra na obiad trzeba za własne pieniądze dokupić ryby, owoce morza.

What a treat it was. The boat was beautiful, very clean, well equipped with lovely super soft towels and air-con. We had no expectations and it was wonderful we wished we had stayed for 2 night instead of 1. It was worth every penny and more. The staff were incredible and we were very spoilt. Food was amazing. We had the best time

After leaving our previous accommodation, we didn’t think it could possibly get any better — but it absolutely did! My sister and I stayed with Xandari Riverscapes in September 2025. Honey welcomed us on arrival, introduced us to the crew, showed us around the boat, and even mapped out our journey — she had also kept in touch with us beforehand, which made everything feel seamless. It was just the two of us on the boat, with three wonderful crew members — the captain, a chef, and a steward — and we honestly felt like royalty. The boat was far more spacious and tranquil than I’d imagined, drifting gently down the river surrounded by beautiful nature. We spotted kingfishers, kites, fruit bats, and herons — truly magical. Our room was perfect: a massive bed, plenty of space, and a lovely ensuite with a powerful shower. We were served three freshly cooked meals a day (plus an afternoon snack!), all absolutely delicious and plentiful. I’d planned to do just a day trip but chose an overnight stay instead — and it was so worth it. The whole experience was peaceful, beautiful, and deeply moving.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. It really was a lovely trip.

It was a beautiful stay on the houseboat! The staff and food were wonderful. The backwaters were gorgeous.

We would’ve liked more seafood options for dinner. The small boat tour of the backwaters was not very long or informational. It would be nice to have options for activities to do during the stay — canoeing/kayaking, village walk, information about the history of the backwaters and area, etc.

Overall me and my partner a fantastic experience - probably my favourite part of our trip around Kerala. The time went so quickly because we were so relaxed. The crew made us feel at ease and we were very well looked after. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price which was great. Would thoroughly recommend.

It cost about 50 k for a night ... ... The boat started at 1pm and docked at 5:30pm .. after that it was docked till 7 am next day at this dirty place infested with mosquitoes ..there was no plan for a village walk through or any other activities .. water ran out . There was no water even in the toilets ... This thing is not worth more than 10k

The backwater experience. Being pampered waited on by friendly crew, great food. The move for a short stint in the small boat exploring the narrow canals was appreciated. Nothing was too hard for the staff and they were always keen to ensure that you were comfortable. Honey at reception was also very welcoming.

The boat was fabulous and clean, the food was delicious and the customer team were warm and friendly and very focused on ensuring we had the best experience.

The experience far exceed our expectations. The boat house we stayed at was a beautiful blend of tradition and comfort, the rooms had a massive window so you can see the water and views while resting, and the deck with the lovely seating on the second floor became our favorite spot to hang out and take in the beautiful scenery. The staff were also exceptional and went out of their way to ensure we had the best time. Mahesh, the chef made the best food we’ve had on the whole trip. Venu, the crew was so kind and of course the captain, Pradeep! We did a two night stay and I can’t recommend that enough. As part of the stay, they also offered canoe rides through the village, a stop at one of the oldest churches, seeing a woodcarving workshop and doing a little shopping and daily stops at areas where you can walk around.

The road to the boat was very muddy, but of course we were there during rain season. There are no facilities for drivers. Our driver was advised to park on the street and spend night there.

It was a great experience . The boat was very clean and well prepared. The backwaters were incredibly beautiful. We also bought crab on the way and the chef Anthony was very happy to cook it. Everything was perfect. We had an early flight back and they were nice to call a taxi at a different location so that we reach airport on time

I liked everything. The only thing which would have made it even better was getting a beer while sailing in backwaters. Unfortunately there was no option of that but it is understandable.

Nous avons aimé les attentions de l’équipage et de Honey avant et après notre séjour. Le fait de reserver 2 journées permet de profiter de la sérénité du lieu loin de la horde de houseboat. Les repas sont très bons et adaptés a nos demandes. Nous avons apprécié le calme de la nuit avec AC, pas de mise en route de générateur. Realmente una gran experiencia hacer el houseboat por los backwaters con Xandari. Todo estaba perfecto, una instalaciones de lujo con un personal de 10. Hemos podido disfrutar de un entorno maravilloso con una tranquilidad y relajación increíble, el personal en todo momento te atiende y la comida que hacen a bordo esta muy buena. Recomiendo la experiencia sin duda!!

Gut ausstaffiertes Hausboot mit einem Doppelzimmer mit Bad und Klimaanlage. Alles sehr sauber. Das Personal - ein Kapitän, ein Maschinist und ein Koch - war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Koch hat ausgezeichnetes indisches Essen für mich zubereitet!

The boat was traditional and very well maintained with clean bathrooms, good size bedrooms with AC, and amazing common areas including an upper deck. The food and service by Mahesh, Vipin and Prince were outstanding, and the Kerala backwaters are stunningly serene and beautiful.

Friendly staff and exceptional food. The chef was able to cater for vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian (in addition to the usual foods).
