I was pleasantly surprised by this place. it was even better than I expected! The apartment is just a 6-minute walk from the train station, in a very quiet area, although to be honest, the whole town of Appenzell is quiet and lovely. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and I was especially happy to find the little sweet treats waiting for me, such a thoughtful touch! I’m also very grateful for the tourist card, which made it possible for me to explore the whole region and learn so much about the region. The interior was clearly designed quite some time ago, but everything is very well maintained - the furniture and walls are in perfect condition. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and the coffee machine with capsules was definitely one of my favourite things! Bruno and his family are wonderful people who really respect your privacy. Even though the apartment is in the same house where the family lives, communication was easy and minimal, while I was happy to have a chat with Bruno whenever he had some free time. I would honestly call this one of the most warm, welcoming and charming Booking.com stays I’ve had in all my travels. I would absolutely recommend it!

Es cómodo, con una temperatura interior buenísima, teniendo en cuenta que he ido en verano. El entorno es tranquilo y la zona de terraza agradable. El anfitrión fue muy amable y me explicó sitios cercanos para ver. No lo esperaba y me sorprendí para bien. Además, me habían dejado encima de la mesa algunos productos típicos de la zona, que pude probar. También pude disfrutar de la Appenzeller Holiday Card por estar alojada allí. Fue una maravilla.

Check-in und Check-out waren unkompliziert, wurde vor Anreise bzw. Abreise kommuniziert/besprochen. Fenster teilweise mit Insektengitter/-schutz. Ferienkarte ab 3 Nächte mit vielen Vergünstigungen und kostenlosen Angeboten. Lage des Studios nach Norden, kühl bei höheren Temperaturen. Bettwäsche und Handtücher inklusive, obwohl bei Booking gegen Aufpreis steht.

Baustelle in Straße, Zufahrt nur von einer Seite. Geräusche aus anderen Räumen im Haus wie poltern oder fließendes Abwasser sind zu hören, keine Stimmen Ausstattung im Bad sieht schon etwas älter aus.

Bruno, our host, was warm and welcoming. He provided sample items of produce from Appenzell for us. This was a delightful surprise. There was great on-site parking. The accommodation was within walking distance of the village centre, local sites, shopping and eateries. The location provided us with a fantastic base to explore further afield. While staying in Appenzell we did day trips to Ebenalp, St Gallen and Stein am Rhine. All were very manageable. The property had a lovely outdoor area with hammocks and a covered BBQ area available to guests. The self-contained apartment was well set up for a very comfortable stay. There was a coffee pod machine with pods supplied and all cooking accessories needed to eat in, if you wished to.

Next visit we would stay longer in this beautiful part of the world. This time we only had a few days which was not nearly long enough!

It was very clean and comfortable. Spacious and private with own entrance. Neat little kitchenette and a table for dining at. Lovely to find a coffee machine and good supply of capsules. Hosts were really friendly and helpful. I loved it. Great location too.

This is a spacious, clean place that is a very close to downtown Appenzell. We had a wonderful stay. Good water pressure, and large windows for lot of natural light are things The room has but can't be shown in pictures The family is friendly and helpful, and the room is very private. We would love to stay here again sometime

I liked everything about the property! The only down side that I didn’t account for is that the payment had to be done on site by cash, so I had to run to an ATM and pay ATM fees since I didn’t have any CHF with me (the payment isn’t processed by Booking, unfortunately).
