L' ingresso dell appartamento è nascosto dietro al palazzo. Qualche quadro potrebbe dare più anima alla casa. Forse aggiungere una TV o qualche libro :)

No TV. If you are in a car, then take into account + 450 nok per day for parking. This is not indicated anywhere. I think that this should be written in the ad. The landlord promised parking around the corner for 250 a day, but said that I could not use this parking lot. This is not only a problem for this landlord, but for all Tromsø. Parking is very expensive, the cheapest 450 nok per day.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026The property is really clean and smart. The shower was nice with good water pressure. Fantastic location for easy walking distance into the centre. Comfy sofa. Overall, simple, nice place to stay, and would recommend for someone staying for a short while in Tromsø.
Just a few pointers for the property to improve it's facilities: - there wasn't an info pack in the property. I find this is always a nice feature to help understand the area and how the property functions. - no general waste bin bags and the recycling bins were very full outside. - more than one pillow per person would have been appreciated. The bedrooms are also very small and only really fit the double beds so not much room to move around (cant be helped though as that's just the property). - the curtains didn't really cover the windows. We visited in summer so it remained very light in the rooms. A lamp in the bedrooms would probably be nice to have especially in winter when it is so dark. - only one mirror in the property. A minor detail but would have been nice to have another available especially when getting ready in the morning. - the kitchen and general space is very basic. Minimal to no pictures on the walls so doesn't feel very homely. There are no coasters that we could find so would worry about marking the nice tables. The kettle is like a travel kettle so doesn't fit much water. - you have to fully lock the front door to keep it closed as the latch doesn't seem to work properly. - you can hear people quite clearly moving around upstairs. - toilet seat is off centre.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Istay in Tromso. The apartment was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The location is perfect, close to the city center and all the main attractions, while still being quiet and comfortable. One of the highlights was definitely the beautiful view, which made our stay even more special. The interiors were cozy, stylish, and very pleasant to spend time in. We also really appreciated the possibility to leave our luggage after check-out, which made our last day in Tromso much easier and more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Check-in was flexible and easy, and we really appreciated being able to leave our luggage after check-out. The beds were already made when we arrived, which is surprisingly uncommon in Norway and was a very nice touch. We also accidentally left an item in the apartment, and the host helped us get it back, which we really appreciated. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again.

Annet; Litt dårlig renhold av sofa (full av potetgull fra andre gjester)og ventil på bad var det mye støv. Tips til forbedring; Savnet solskjerming i stue/kjøkken. Da det blir mye sol rett inn. Dynene var veldig tykke for vår/sommer temp. Savnet å muligheten for å bytte pute til en som ikke var så høy/fast. Sett inn en kost og støvbrett

Reviewed May 14, 2026Veldig moderne og pen leilighet, nyoppusset og praktisk innredet. Nydelig utsikt! Inneholdt kopper og kar, oppvaskmaskin, vannkoker og pulverkaffe. Behagelig sofa og gode senger. Enkel innsjekking og god kommunikasjon med utleier på forhånd.
Vi har ikke så mye å klage på, for leiligheta var veldig fin😊 Men den var kanskje litt sparsommelig møblert. Vi savnet steder å legge fra seg bagasje og klær. Vi kunne gjerne ønsket oss knagger ved ytterdøra, samt litt flere knagger, hyller eller andre oppbevaringsmuligheter på soverommene. Det hadde også vært fint med et stort speil i gangen eller på et av soverommene. Når flere skal gjøre seg klare samtidig, blir det fort kø til speilet på badet. I tillegg savnet vi muligheten til å låse baderomsdøra.

Schade fand ich, dass wir erst um 16 Uhr einchecken durften, obwohl wir um 15 Uhr in Tromso waren und ich um 15:30 den Code für die Schlüsselbox erhalten habe. Klar - was die Wohnung noch nicht fertig ist, ist sie noch nicht fertig. Die Betten sind sehr weich, aber ok.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026這次住001是半地下室的設計，不用扛很重的行李上樓梯還可以，但吹風機超小，還會接觸不良，房間要先開一個密碼鎖拿鑰匙，沒有地方寄放行李，問他的時候還直接跟我說我可以一個小時加100挪威克朗就可以提早入住，不然就是要等到16:00才要給我密碼，我就在外面拉著行李逛街！最後15:30過後才給我密碼說可以進去了，但當天才知道超市16:00關門，隔天復活節全部放假，我等於訂了可以煮菜的房間卻沒地方買食材，另外浴室沒有任何洗髮精或沐浴乳，要住的人要自己帶哦！上去要先經過一個很抖的斜坡，如果行李很重真的要三思，我們推上去超累！（不過Tromso確實很多斜坡）

Reviewed Apr 1, 2026La ubicación es perfecta, a un paso del centro, eso sí, el acceso con la cuesta empinada si hiela requiere spikes si o si; la cama es muy cómoda y estaba muy limpio. La calefacción una maravilla.
No nos ha gustado el sistema de cristalera de la ducha, se moja el suelo al salir. Hemos echado en falta alfombrilla de pies en el baño y una escoba o similar. En la cocina me habría gustado disponer de estropajo y no solo cepillo de lavavajillas y algún vaso más ya que es difícil llenar el lavavajillas cuando hay poca vajilla disponible. Nada grave. El secador se agradece pero se puede mejorar ya que era bastante básico, pequeño y se apagada de vez en cuando estando en uso.

Schlüsselcode erst nach der Ankunft am Quartier erhalten - inzwischen im Regen gestanden!!! Kein Platz für Gepäck im Apartment - Ein kleiner Schrank am Gang für 4 Personen - in den Zimmern kein Platz um die Koffer wenigstens hinzulegen. Kaum Platz für die nassen Schuhe beim Eingang.

Op de slaapkamers kon je geen koffer open doen, ook geen opbergruimte. Met de waterkoker kon je per keer 1,5 mok water koken, was wel erg weinig. Het appartement op de 1e verdieping zou ook zeezicht hebben maar daar zag je weinig van. Op de 2e etage wel.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Perfect location, two steps from everything in the city but still in a very calm road. Spaceous living room and kitchen but quite smaller bedrooms. Generally hot and comfortable, with some nice views of the city as well.
As I said the bedrooms were small, so you need to be a little creative with the suitcases. Also the kitchen could be a little better equipped (microwave, coffee machine, larger water heater).

Alors pour les équipements à noter que pour un appartement neuf vous ne trouverez pas de cafetière, de grille pain, de micro-ondes il y aura une petite bouilloire d’un demi-litre pour un appartement où l’on peut séjourner à 5 … quand aux chambres vous ne pouvez pas ouvrir vos valises tant elles sont étroites . Il n’y a pas d’armoires et pas de lampe de chevet elles sont toutes HS … d’où ma mauvaise note.

La lavatrice e un micro de sarebbero stati molto utili, soprattutto nel soggiorno di più giorni. Non ho apprezzato l’assenza di armadi nelle stanze, o spazi dove poter mettere i vestiti, nè appendi asciugamani in bagno. Nemmeno l’assenza di un asciugamano in più da mettere a terra per la doccia. La parte esterna era veramente malmessa. Dal piano terra la vista è carina, ma dai piani superiori probabilmente migliore.

我們住的那間是客廳連著廚房兩個大窗都沒有窗簾，必要時只好用抱枕擋住。看到樓上的那間有窗簾，反而靠近馬路的沒有。

We arrived in town 7 hours before checkin. Management company mistakenly sent us to the wrong address (another istay property) to store our luggage. We paid $70 round trip to take us to the storage place. Then management company suggested we take a bus to go retrieve our luggage. After politely insisting they deliver it for us, they allowed us to check in one hour early (waiving the $10 per hour early fee penalty) to make up for the inconvenience. Overall disappointed with the management company, but the condo was lovely and in the perfect location.

Reviewed Dec 27, 2025Very walkable to the bustling side of town and tho the slope was a lil challenging on icy days, the height where we were was perfect to catch the northern lights! Apt was warm and cosy and well equipped!

Reviewed Dec 18, 2025Sehr schöner Aufenthalt bei Istay. Wir haben fünf Tage im 3-Zimmer-Appartement verbracht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, das Appartement war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Der Service war freundlich und zuverlässig. Es waren unvergessliche Tage in Tromsø und Umgebung. Sehr empfehlenswert!
Das es nur einen Schrank für die Garderobe im Apartment gab.

Sarebbe utile fornire un tostapane e un forno a microonde, aggiungere qualche strumento in cucina ed inoltre un solo armadio per 4/5 persone è piccolo. In bagno sarebbe necessario un tappetino per l’uscita dalla doccia.

Reviewed Dec 14, 2025The location was good - walking distance from the center, although in the dead of winter even a short walk can be challenging. The apt was clean and spacious with all amenities available. It was clear how to get the keys, and there was storage available for leaving luggage between checkout and having to leave. Late checkout was also available for an additional cost.
I arrived at 15:00 and requested in advance to check in -the request was denied because check-in is at 16. It was snowing heavily the day I arrived and having to carry the luggage up slippery icy stairs to the storage and then find some way to kill time after being tired from the flight was annoying. I had hoped that for one hour I would be able to check in early. Also I didn't realize toiletries weren't available. Not a big deal, I bought some, but advance knowledge would have been helpful.
